Thank you! Simple and precise. One question though - does everyone have some BNP in there blood whether healthy or otherwise? Are there people with 0pg/ml?
Thanks Ibrahim, the reason why is because I need to make more videos in order to be seen by the youtube algorithms. I will reach more views with time. At the moment, I´m not earning so much money, and therefore the slower speed of making videos.
I thought I having a heart attack . The did a EKG ,chest X-ray and full labs including this BNP test . The ER doctors told me they was well within range and I can be sure that my heart is fine and it was probably just a panic attack. I was confused because I didn't realize they can just rule out heart failure with a blood test by it self .
I use Medscape, Uptodate, Merckmanual, and several books. These numbers are taken from Uptodate. Remember that reference values are as the name suggest just a reference. It is more important to remember what the trends indicate then to fixate on a specific number.
Same exact thing w me I was applying for a rate reduction and that’s the ONLY thing high so they won’t reduce my rate, have u seen a dr do u have any symptoms

I was applying for life insurance the other day and they tested me for NT PROBNP and it came back at 309! I’m only 51 so I’m really scared.

Thank you Dr. Very informative. Guess you are a Cardiologist?
65 yrs. old and I was in Emergency for heart issues...my NT pro-BNP was 56.0 pg/ml. What does that mean?
I'm pretty sure that's normal for a 65 yr old as last ng as you're under 100. However you can still have HF with normal BNP levels.
👍
Im 30 and my bnp is 41. Is that normal?
I am suffering from anaemia and my iron level is just 31. And hemoglobin is 9. And my Nt Pro BNP level is above 10000. please advise
Please visit a doctor specializing in heart failure, like a cardiologist. An ultrasound have to be done, and your iron has to substituted.
