    Enoki 7 oz
    Pork belly 5 oz
    Japanese short-grain rice 600ml
    Water 600ml
    Tsuyu 60ml

    There are many takikomi gohan recipes on YT, but most don't cook the meat and mushrooms before adding them to the rice cooker. In my opinion this extra step is the key move to allow the flavors to develop; not to mention the rendered fat from the pork belly adds a ton of umami to the final dish as well. I really miss your channel btw, and I hope life has been treating you well.

    Why not using the Mixed setting on the rice cooker? I have the same cooker model but never cooked mixed rice in it. I've read that the Mixed setting makes the bottom a bit brown
