Can we just appreciate how much the meta seems to be balancing out? Like theres a few definite winners and losers in the set but the gaps between the top and everything else doesnt feel as lopsided as other previous series.
Thank you for this video. It was really cool seeing the deck representation change when we see a deck (bastion) toping a lot to counter it. I always have a hard time finding tournament results so I loved this video.
Seeing Bruce go from 6% to tying all the way up to second place with Nirvana gives me an indescribable joy. That's my boy Danji coming through for us! Even if he's not at the top, let's follow his example and still have fun with the folks we cross decks with in the future, win or lose!
Super excited to finally have the OverDress cards in English soon, of course I'll be getting Keter Sanctuary but I'll also be picking up Eugene just because he's fun to play :P
Bro idk what it is but your voice puts me in chill mode, like I feel like if I were to stop using chill music to stream the only thing I would replace it with is like u reading a book. So moral of the story differentfight should record an audio book
As someone who's been a Bastion fan since his art was revealed, it makes me glad to see the hype wasn't misplaced. While his win rate may have gone down from week 1 to 2, he still sits on top, which... MIGHT suck once he comes overseas because of inflated prices, but that's what Orfist will be for as a backup deck, as well as a cheaper alternative to Alden in the Festival Collection!
@DifferentFight I've been testing Baromagnes with the Bruce Ride Line (G3 still being Baromagnes) and it's been doing well so far. You lose 1 soul but get to be more aggressive in certain matchups while also causing your opponent to play incorrectly in the early game.
Sorry for the beginner question, but where / when can I start playing Overdress in America? I can’t figure out when / where the starter decks are releasing
All five starter decks come out on the 14th. You can get them in card shops that sell vanguard. The cardfight vanguard wiki is a very good place to learn about the new stuff and when its coming out.
as someone who wants to play Eugene since it is similar to Narukami, im probably going to be the only one at my locals playing it. my own friends joke with me saying "Eugene Best Deck!"
Personally, i think the meta is pretty good considering it is the first set. Yes, Bastion is probably the strongest with highest winrate but it is a match up you can still win by playing good. In my opinion, we will get a good look on the oD meta in maybe 2 or 3 more set.
While I don't really see Eugene and Hexaorb going up soon, the hope for them to be very relevant is there. Eugene as a card actually do nice stuff, it's just his call target is not good. While Hexaorb function nicely, with current cardpool, might as well just play bastion for competitive purpose
And this is without Festival Collection since I REALLY don't wanna touch Nirvana until Festival Collection is out in English since Mirin really helps the Vairinas out with magic numbers.
I got Brandt gate the police girls and if they only call two rear guards you can’t do much so set two it will be better but I’m learning to play around them doing it. I’ve just been rushing
This is what I deserve for avoiding the meta so long from pst formats by playing golds (spectral duke), and now switching to Keter for bastion...I’m now a meta player 😔
Magnolia is weird cause it has a good matchup against BDIF Bastion, but can have problems vs fellow mid tier Seraph. Seraph can mess with both Stoicheia builds (Magnolia much more than Alchemagic), but other decks clearly have an easier time playing around Prison.
I'm still confused about how to use Orfist. Like I love the deck and card art , however I'm never able to keep a proper hand to defend at the right time.
Aaah, my guys Bruce and Baromagnes being next to each other in the chart. Very interesting analysis video, thanks Chief! I was going to build Hexaorb, but after playtesting the deck it just felt like Bastion with many extra steps. Maybe later when we get more deck stacking effects and NON-G3 cards for Keter.
tbh i think prison is a z tier deck, I think its super hard for the deck to actually keep up from in group testing vs basically any of the others. it rarely wins outside overtrigger drives cheesing 4 crits t3 and hitting op from 2 to 6 in 1 attack
I think that they wanted to avoid doing lock 2.0 and all the crap that entails, so they designed prison to be fairer, but it resulted in it having all the weaknesses of early lock with none of the upsides. As much as I realize it IS an annoying mechanic (as much as I like using it), if your opponent makes a mistake and you start locking stuff, they really start to feel running out of options, and that is the point of a control mechanic. Prison, even if you make mistakes, it barely makes a difference. Heck, most of the time YOU are the one that has to make suboptimal plays just to see your mechanic, not the opponent to bypass yours.
When you started describing how much is going on in a game, I immediately thought "and then the overtrigger could throw all that out the window: good or bad". The more I hear about overDress, the more I feel like the trick is "Do what you can, but there's always the overTrigger... so maybe don't take it too seriously", but that's just me.
I feel like Bastion could go down in a few sets naturally just because the support in Set 1 is so lopsided in his favor compared to most else having 50/50-ish splits. There's literally 3 G2's in the entire nation and 1 of them is Bastion-locked. No wonder Hexaorb is suffering - the benefit for her doing less should be the ability to run less G3's, but the clan is majority G3 so what else should she run? The overcosted, overly difficult condition G2?
that moment when you feel called out when he talks about "I have seen many Bastion Players getting clapped by Magnolia" because I got clapped hard on stream xD
I can't understand how Hexaorb can be this low? I tried a lot of matches with her and I'm sacking triggers and overtriggers in most of my games, and my hand is huuuge. I believe that people don't know how to play with that deck because they are adding to much grade 3's and they don't know when to use the effects.
Baromagnes is more like a rogue deck because the reason it performs so well atm is because the most played deck is probably the one exception where you get enough time to setup Baromagnes, whereas you just die to Vairina :D
Snow is tier 2 tho, Zolga is the bottom tier according to the chart anyway... though i think Lemon's inclusion will bump her up to 1.5. Being able to target triggers from drop will make it easier to keep units in prison.
@@IWriteTooMuchForBleachIGuess i like Snow and Aurora Battle Princess. Its a cool theme and is as close as we are gonna get to the magical girl warrior archetype thats not just a flavor of generic support pieces. (Aside from Lyrical Monestario/ Bermuda Triangle)
@@tylerclapp9422 *I wish to imprison the players only playing to use waifus. (Horny Jail)* I also wish to play a lock equivalent in a "non-evil" context similar to Kouji/Messiah. 6 Feet deep reasoning I know.
That 35 percent transition killed me
Had to pause the video to say this, but you make a good point. they should make it possible to edit the look of the subscribe button.

True especially with old man overlord

I preordered Keter and DE and am considering preordering some singles of the Keter RRRs from the booster set

man Overdress is soooo good. People hating on this format is missing out a lot
I just hope it doesn't stay bastion.format for too long
@@starbound100 I think it's more that Bastion is more popular than it is blatantly stronger. The top 4-5 decks seem pretty relative imo.
