    Good explanation. Though keep and put are used interchangeably but keep means to keep inside...like
    Keep your books in your bag.
    I keep money in my wallet.
    In such sentences put can't be used.
    We can say
    Put the glass on the table.
    The difference between two different words isn't mentioned in the books these days, but it's understood by speakers of English. Though beginners find it highly confusing. The best way to learn English is to listen or read correct English. Best way: Learn from newspapers 👍

      For a long time....(not since a long time
      ...) or
      Since childhood....
      Since class III.....
      In 'since a long time' you have translated the hindi word 'se'. Some examples will help;
      1. I've been waiting since morning.
      2. I have lived in this house since 2010.
      But
      1. I've been waiting for two hours. (Not since two hours)
      2. I've been living in this house for 12 years.

    I have been learning English since child. It's just been 3 years,I have been listening and watching hindi songs and movies. Now I find my hindi is as fluent as my mother tongue but still I lag in English although it's been about 15 years, I have already spend my time in learning it.

    • @rajendersharma1334
      @rajendersharma1334 3 роки тому +2

      You needn't worry about your English. It's excellent. The way you've used 'since' in the beginning is an indication of this. But it should be 'childhood' instead of 'child'. What is your mother tongue?

    There is one more difference between Keep and Put. 'Keep' denotes habit or general action; as: He keeps his money in his wallet.
    One more thing- keep one's word (=promise) not 'words'.

      Sir, put denotes temperory placement,, ex:put /place the book on the table. Keep refers permanent /long time placement exsmples,, keep the fan, /fridge/sofa... In that room. And, remain/keep silent and retain indicates life by nature,, ex:in wood /paper retains live in it,,, that means, if life exhausts, the paper when it folds, it cracks like papad, note bros.

    Well done! Nice job! Kindly explain the difference btw learnt and learned. You have only told about the difference of pronunciation of learned as Verb and Adjective.

    Great teaching.
    But I have a question regarding “keep” and “put”
    You said keep for physical nd non physical things, and put for only physical things. So how is the use of put with “limit”
    Ex: don’t put limitations.
    Plz explain i would be grateful.

      I think use keep when needed to keep some thing safely.
      Ex: keep these money on your pocket.
