- This week we sail to another anchorage in the atoll Raroia, we visit a pearl farm and learn all about the black gold in the ocean. As we pick up anchor we share with you our trusty hand signals, we try to avoid yelling at etch other at all times ;) I take you down to the galley and share one of my smoothie recipes with you, Kieran is one hungry boy! Sailing inside the atoll is amazing, only the occasional bombie to look out for. Happy captain! The pearl farm is empty when we arrive, not including all the furry friends I found. The workers arrive when we are about to leave and tell us to come back the next morning as they will harvest new clams. Unfortunately, due to covid the pearls are not harvested, but we get to learn about the pearls and Kieran gets a taste of the scollop inside. Yum?

Have you guys ever tried stringing up a hammock for Isabelle to lay in during a passage? I don't know if it would work, but it seems like it would reduce the motion for her sea sickness. Your boat is big enough you might be able to put it up below in the saloon?
Thanks for the idea Tylerb! We have tried something similar on anchor and it actually makes the seasickness worse. I know big ships has used hammocks in the past but not for us unfortunately

I'm with you Isabelle on recipes. I used to be fairly precise, but nowadays I tend to go "Yeah ... this is about right". Or "This is my favourite ingredient ... I'll just a little bit more ... or even maybe a little bit more again ..." :)
When you were going through the list of hand signals you use to save yelling at each other while picking up the anchor, I was expecting something like _"And finally, this is 'If you don't stop messing about, I'll come aft and smack you into the middle of next week!' "_
