    Another gem Rui, again the perfectly matched high quality audio, and video topped off with that crafted editing, not to mention the content, the dB level dynamics is also very impressive, very low surface noise from that turntable, I know the polymer type plays a part in the pressing noise but still a very quiet turntable and with the likes of Hello Again and Love on the Rocks both having quiet intros all the more obvious just how good the turntable and cartridge are, love it, love it, love it.....

      Thank you very much sir, so kind of you!
      Well, I must confess that I have my share of very noisy records that not even the most quiet turntable of this world will save, 😁 I just avoid using those on these videos of course.
      I don't make any noise reduction on the audio of my videos, mostly because I feel the sound quality loses something, it's not quite the same, therefore, I must rely on more or less quiet vinyl records, and sometimes, a good, but laborious vinyl record washing session.

      @@MrVinylObsessive Yeah I've been asked a few times if I process the audio, doing so would totally negate the purpose of the channel, I'm looking into digging out my old Denon DVD player and use it along with my SMSL M400 DAC to post some old SACD in my collection at the same resolution as my vinyl 96kHz 24bit (analog capture), to be honest even using my old Sony X7ESD CD as a transport with a digital feed to the m400 DAC the sound quality also has the vinyl warmth, though as you will know having a YT channel it's nice to get an appreciative comment not only on the quality but the music helps enormously.

      Hi, I have a fee SACD great sound, a shame the fisical media is no longer in production. Only available on line. Once the file passes throug the compiter, hard drive, eithef Mac or PC spund degrades, Computers add noise and other artifacts, nothing like the disc, tansport and DAC or a SACD player IMHO. Have a Marantz SACD player since 2002, still gping strong.

    The man. The music. The Magic! Yes, there are many voices which are good in the world of vocalists, but when you have one which is instantly identifiable on top of it, you have arrived. What I find interesting about Neil Diamond's music is that I can feel in just about any mood and find something he has sung that fits the occasion. Now, about the video audio: Did you edit out the stylus drop onto the record? If not, you have the most motionless fingers I have ever seen. I always click on the play button and close my eyes to listen for it and it wasn't there. Understand: I am not complaining at all (sometimes I wish other people who attempt what you have perfected would do the same). It was just a surprise.
    Thank you, once again, for a magnificent start to my week's end. Never stop being the place we go to hear [all] the sounds of vinyl in an otherwise digital world.👍👏👍👏👍

    • @MrVinylObsessive
      @MrVinylObsessive  Рік тому +1

      Yep, I did edit out the stylus drop noise. During the video editing, I tried with and without the familiar "bump" noise, but in this case, because I was looking for a very smooth start for the video to go along with the slow building of the song, I felt that the "bump" was a bit disruptive. On some other videos, I kept the needle drop sound for more authenticity. But on most videos, I don't even include the needle drop, I go straight to the music. It depends on the song, and the mood that I'm looking for the video.

      @@MrVinylObsessive You're right. I never really thought of it, but the type of music warrants either the 'pop' that lets the listener know they are going back in time or the silence leading into a smooth and mellow song. A 'pop' would actually be out of place. Thank you for giving me something to think about the next time I play a recording for someone.👍

    Hola Rui, que tal? . 2 temazos clásicos muy difundidos en Uruguay. "Love On The Rocks" es mi favorito.Se agradece la diferencia de dinámica entre el principio y el estribillo, ayuda a preservar la emoción de la canción.

      Hola Roberto. "Love On The Rocks" es mi favorita también, un temazo sin duda. Los arreglos son de muy buen gusto y sus habilidades vocales eran de primera en ese momento. Una voz inconfundible.
      En cuanto al audio, este álbum, a pesar de ser una compilación, tiene un sonido muy agradable, no todos los Greatest Hits están bien hechos en ese sentido.

    • @MrVinylObsessive
      @MrVinylObsessive  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for commenting. Many people asked me the same over the years, and I completely understand that some viewers might feel curious about the equipment, but I am more interested in putting the emphasis on the music instead of the gear.
      But since many people, including you, requested for this, I will start posting the equipment on the description, starting on this video. 😀

      @@MrVinylObsessive Completely understand and I thought that was in fact the reason. But as you said, some people are curious to know what gear you use! I was especially interested in knowing what that cartridge is, as I don't remember ever seeing one like that! Again, it's a curiosity thing, not a buying recommendation :)
