yayaya1193able not quite. A disk basically goes over uneven ground and breaks up the large clumps to smooth it out. A moldboard plow digs down deep and turns the top soil over. It’s very rough afterwards

To me a Soundgard is what a John Deere tractor is.
It must be an early one. Dads 4450 had black paint on the door frame. The door handle also looks like a 30,40 series handle. Great tractors
The handle is the newer “fixed” one - first fitted to the 40 series for their last year of production in 82.

So would you say the disc the 4450 is pulling is doing the same job as a moldboard plow?
No. A moldboard plow goes down deep and destroys soil compaction. A disc basically flips 1-5 inches of soil
