An interesting note about when Pieck pulls her little "hi there" routine, she deliberately raises BOTH her arms to show that she is chained to Gabi, and Porco nods knowing that means she can't transform. After their failed surprise attack on Eren, instead of continuing the attack immediately, Porco defends Pieck and Gabi as they are basically defenseless against the other soldiers. Maggath commented on Pieck's "superior judgement" and she really doesn't disappoint.
To clarify something, Zeke's plan was not to destroy the whole world, it was to show the world a sample of the rumbling's power and destroy a few militaries like the world alliiance to scare the world so that they don't attack the island. Meanwhile the eldians slowly die out after being sterilized
Check the ep again, the scene where Pieck says "hi" to the scouts while she's with Gabi and Eren, you can see Galliard among the other scouts 🤣. That image is just here for a second. I almost didn't see him the first time I watched it.
Pieck is beautiful, I love her smile. She's also badass and smart. She raised her hands to "say hi", but also to show Galliard that she couldn't transform. I believe in Pieck supremacy.
Armin's been very manipulative in the past. With Bert especially. He has a way with words. Connie is so relatable this season. He's so betrayed and hurt. It makes a lot of sense to me why he's upset about what's happening. He is seeing things at face value but I think he's just so traumatized he can't think about things logically at the moment. Losing your other half is devastating.
Grisha cured the plague and was generally a great doctor because Marley medical knowledge is 100 years beyond Paradis. He didn't have the founding until much later nor could he access the founding power if he did, since he lacked the royal blood.
I read a comment once that pointed out that it's likely that this plague was probably a very common and curable disease in Marley -- and that there's a good chance that Grisha himself accidentally brought it into the walls, himself immune.
I love how Pieck switching sides seemed almost believable in spite of the fact that the first thing she did when walking into the room was knife a guy in the throat.
“is this a bit of a ship?” “no, Carlie. don’t be ridiculous.” 🤣🤣🤣 i laughed SO hard at that part, I swear Carlie and I have the same thoughts sometimes 😂
Grisha was able to help out with the pandemic or whatever was happening on the island at the time because he is a doctor that comes from a much more advanced socitey in medicine. EDIT: And yes he did not have the founder yet at that time but even if he did he couldn’t do anything with it cause he isn’t of royal blood.
Moreover, it's not a stretch of the imagination that Grisha himself introduced the disease from the outside world. A weak virus would have little effect on Grisha, but would wreak havock on Paradisians since they never faced it. Grisha would also know how to treat this disease if he had seen it outside.
Also in the last episode when Ksaver was explaining about the founding titan, he was talking about an incident that happened 600 years before that day, its got nothing to do with Grisha.
I just want to point the ironic symbolism of Zeke, who wants to sterilize the Eldians, who is then being put inside the stomach of a Titan like a baby. The flowers he was laying in are also symbolic of fertility. I love these little details.

All your questions will be answered in upcoming episodes so I won't clarify on those. But to clarify on titan lore: if a titan shifter does not pass on their titan and abilities then their ability is passed on to another eldian at random so not lineage or family. The way it would transfer within families like the Tybers is if a family member eats a family member. Otherwise the ability is passed to an eldian anywhere in the world pardis Marley or one of the other countries and nations
I have just one request to ask of you guys. The finale of Part 2, when you record it, please keep the final sequence in its entirety (you will know what I am talking about when you see it). We would love to watch it with you guys in its entirety.
To clarify on Grisha curing the plague, that was to show he knew more advanced forms of medicine than the people of the walls, hinting at the fact he came from a more advanced civilisation, it has no relation to the founding titan and changing peoples anatomy.
Fun fact: When Pieck waves at the crowd, you can see Galliard is actually there! He’s the only one not smiling, she’s giving him the signal to go ahead
Actually she is doing something more intelligent, she is showing him she is chained to Gabby and can't transform. Which is why Porco breaks off and defends her after Eren transforms instead of outright continuing the attack.
16:16 I love it how you can see Galliard in the group of people waiting to transform, this show has so many small details and I only noticed it after re-watching it
The thing about the founder curing a plague from the eldians happened 600 years ago so definitely not Grisha also Grisha doesn't have royal blood so he couldn't have used the foundings powers anyway. Also to clarify how the titan powers work if they die without passing it on just think of it like the Avatar from last airbender/Korra if you've seen those, the power gets passed onto a random eldian child that gets born.
The more I watch your reviews is the more I believe that Ange is a genius .. You piece things together so well and you have great reasoning skills… I am caught up with the series so I am impressed with how spot on most of your theories after finding an episode
I love how serious this talk was, kind of awesome that you go into someone looking for entertainment through story and are complexed with morals and ideas that we arent even sure ourselves about. Its a really good thing
I think Armin is crying tears of joy. After he hears of "Eren's plan", he realized the ridiculousness of it. He was being sarcastic when he says what a nobel plan it is.
Reiner: I can infiltrate an enemy nation and slip into their ranks Hobo Eren: I can do it better Pieck: OHAYO Eren Yelena really took that man out. No hesitation. She's one of my favorite new characters.
the reason why Armin cried there when Yelena was talking about Zeke euthanization plan was not because he cried cuz of Yelena heart touched story but because he cried of relief that knowing Eren will never do that plan. Eren has always been the same, "because i was born" he does everything that he does because he was born unlike Zeke where he wishes he wasn't born. so Armin cried of relief knowing that Eren is just pretending to sided with Zeke and won't be doing Zeke euthanization plan
There are more reasons to think Eren is not going along with this plan. The way I see it, Armin's tears were real/fake. I think he cried because, after listening to this euthanasia plan, he immediately knew Eren wouldn't be ok with this plan so he was playing along, which means his good friend Eren is still there, he just had to do what he had to do...
that theory about Grisha having cured everyone with the founding titan wouldn't be possible cause in that time he did not have the founding titan and also he doesn't has royal blood (Eren also can't use the founding, that's why he and Zeke are working together, because Zeke has royal blood! Remembering, if Zeke had the founding he would be tainted with the vow renouncing war too like the Reiss family in s3!) Hope you guys did understand, my english is not that good, loving the reactions guys!
@@RoGiftRBLX You're right ! And I'll just add that Grisha was a doctor in a country that was way more advanced scientifically than the Paradis island. That's why he was able to deal with a pandemic way more efficiently. No titan powers involved
If Zeke (or his child, if he had one) were to eat Eren, he wouldn't necessarily become affected by the vow. The vow is inherited, and Zeke is not a descendant of Karl Fritz.
16:15 if you pause that frame you can actually see porco disguised amongst the soilders as pieck says 'Hi There', so that was her probably giving him the signal
Also what pyxis said about mixing a lie with a little truth , that goes for zeke’s lie about people freezing up when the inhale the spinal fluid, when they didn’t freeze up at all making them not suspect zeke , masterclass writing 👏🏼
If the question was “How did Grisha save the people from the epidemic?” It’s simply that he, as a Doctor from Marley, with superior medical practices, has much better means of treating people with all sorts of diseases or injuries. What to the people of Shiganshina must have felt like a miracle, was standard medical procedure to him.
@@s.k.abishek it's possible, but the epidemic was only spread throughout Shiganshina and was therefore not an existential threat to the entire race. Also, this is merely my opinion, but I believe the royals were not interfering at all, because, as they said: "The Eldians have to atone for their sins"

If a titan holder dies without passing on the power it transfers over to a random eldian baby doesn't matter the royal blood or not it'll just be with any eldian at random which is why they transfer it to keep track of who has it
5:42 At that time Grisha didnt have the Founding Titan and even if he had it, he has no royal blood and therefor would not be able to use his powers. The main reason he managed to cure most of the ill was mainly just because he had more knowledge about medicine overall. He came from the outside where they had far more knowledge about medicine and bacteria overall. He was just a good doctor thats it.
I think Grisha was able to cure the plague within the walls because he had already seen it previously in Marley. And remember their technology is way more advanced so that helps as well
Hi C and A, Good content. The guy who was shot by Yelena wasn't one of her people. He was loyal Marley trooper who just wanted to save his skin and volunteered on helping building up Paradise island. Do remember, that they were 120 years cut off in isolation without any technological advance, so there is plenty to catch up. Regards, Jan.
If one of the 9 special titan shifter dies in anyway other then getting eaten by a pure titan, the titan passes on to a random Eldian to be born. They do the whole ritual of eating the shifters so they can control who has that power knowing who has it.
Grisha was able to cure/treat the plague in the walls because he was a doctor from outside the walls. Medical research had progressed further outside the walls where he had been trained meaning he was uniquely prepared to deal with it as a doctor. It all has to do with science and technology being more advanced within Marley and not because of any Titan power.
Grisha was such an effective doctor because he came from Marley which was hundreds of years more technologically developed. It would be like sending a doctor today back to the middle ages- even though they dont have the same technology they know basic medicinal principles that are effective that others wouldn’t know. Also the founding titan can only change peoples anatomies if they can control it, which grisha and eren (with the exception of the end of s2) could never do because they dont have royal blood.
when Pieck was climbing the stairs with Eren and the others, when Pieck said Hi to the soldiers you can see the jaw titans with them it was for a sec but go back and re watch that, I didn't noticed the 1st time too I literally just noticed it for the 1st time watching it with you guys hhhhhh
What they said about the powers is that a random child will get it. So Zeke's powers would go to a random baby yet to be born. Basically the powers never cease to exist, they don't go to anybody other than when the shifter is eaten.
5:40 I think the only reason Grisha saved the people of Paradis from the plague was bc he came from Marley, which was advanced in everything compared to the island, including medicine. Since Paradis is underdeveloped, they didn't know the resources they needed to fight the plague, but Grisha did.

Do you guys ever plan on adding to that poster collection in the back? Feel like the shredded deserves a spot back there
The shredded will be getting added at some point! 😊
Your thumbnail is a good one
Now imagine waiting almost a year to see the battle or if Levi’s ok
HAHAHA wat abt the most iconic picture of aot that spread thru almost all the social media.
i was suffering that whole year fr
Soooo, who else is hyped for Ange's cover of the Rumbling?
🙋
LETS GOOO YOUR ALMOST CAUGHT UP!! the journey has been fun watching you guys
Imagine having to wait a year after that ending LOL
After this we waited a whole YEAR! You two are so lucky that you won't have to wait.
Part 3 will still strike.
@@thedevilorder in 6 months. Less than a Year still.
@@Timeforspas12 even waiting for a week for new episodes is painful.
Porco is one of my favorite characters. Dude is always coming in with the saves.
Bit off a hot head, though. That's his most biggest flaw.
@@JollibeenosHasYourCoordinates yeah and I like that
Same, he’s really cool with his titan powers. Also I just like his huge soft side lol
he's got drip
His titans cool as all hell. I don't like his personality that much though. I dont hate or love the guy. But man his jaw titan looks so dope
Just wanted to say that I literally wait for these AOT reactions to come out. Love watching you two react to this show. Keep up the good work!
Carlie: it must be one of his spinal juice people
Ange: Carlie I've not seen this tactic
Me: burst out laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact: When Pieck waves at the crowd, you can see Galliard is actually there! He’s the only one not smiling, she’s giving him the signal to go ahead
Actually she is doing something more intelligent, she is showing him she is chained to Gabby and can't transform. Which is why Porco breaks off and defends her after Eren transforms instead of outright continuing the attack.
@@Tyrantofthewind ooo i didn't think about that, a good PIECK as Ange would say
Can't wait for these two to lose their minds on what's about to unfold on the next part of this season. Hang on tight! Love your reactions!
i just love how Ange gets so excited seeing the SHREDDEDDDDD titan again =)) the zoom in on eren's abs was hilarious
16:16 I love it how you can see Galliard in the group of people waiting to transform, this show has so many small details and I only noticed it after re-watching it
Have a closer look when she’s waving 😉 you might recognise someone in that crowd.
PORCO! Dang it!!!! And he was the only one not smiling too 😆 We were distracted just like the other dudes
@@CarlieAndAnge I never spotted it, I’ve seen it pointed out on Reddit 😂 Such cool detail.
Also the reason she was waving was to show galliard that she was cuffed to gabi and couldn’t transform.
@@akabe40 woah, good spot!
And also, its a random eldian, not necessarily someone of royal blood. I believe carle said that.
The more I watch your reviews is the more I believe that Ange is a genius .. You piece things together so well and you have great reasoning skills… I am caught up with the series so I am impressed with how spot on most of your theories after finding an episode
It’s always the perfect time to hit on pieck
People always miss galliard hiding among the jeagerists when piek waves hello to everyone
yeah the book zeke read was just a book levi gave him. some paradisian literature
Imagine having to wait a year after this episode to start watching part 2 lmao. You guys are lucky!
Owww yeah I was waiting so bad to see your enthusiasm watching the Shredded here and then the cliffhanger 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 love your reactions and analysis!!!
Reiner: I can infiltrate an enemy nation and slip into their ranks
Hobo Eren: I can do it better
Pieck: OHAYO Eren
Yelena really took that man out. No hesitation. She's one of my favorite new characters.
"THE SHREDDED" hahahahaha, you guys are so great! And seriously, your insight and discussion after each episode is so fun to watch.
When Peak waved her hands looking down at the men, Galliard was among the group. Can't believe now is the time I saw that after all these months! 😅😅
the reason why Armin cried there when Yelena was talking about Zeke euthanization plan was not because he cried cuz of Yelena heart touched story but because he cried of relief that knowing Eren will never do that plan. Eren has always been the same, "because i was born" he does everything that he does because he was born unlike Zeke where he wishes he wasn't born. so Armin cried of relief knowing that Eren is just pretending to sided with Zeke and won't be doing Zeke euthanization plan
Spoiler much?
@@jager3090 not really if you have been paying attention
There are more reasons to think Eren is not going along with this plan. The way I see it, Armin's tears were real/fake. I think he cried because, after listening to this euthanasia plan, he immediately knew Eren wouldn't be ok with this plan so he was playing along, which means his good friend Eren is still there, he just had to do what he had to do...
Now imagine you had to wait a year in between this episode and the next 😂
the next season is a legit modern masterclass in how to make anime. so good. can't wait.
I just loved how Ange simped on Pieck in that scene cuz I did the same! GORGEOUS!!
Thank you for all the laughter. I love how funny and smart you guys are!
The next half of this season is straight chaos I’m so excited to see your reactions to these episodes
Very excited to see your guy's reaction to part 2 🙌 A lot of my favorite moments in the entire show are in part 2.
id love your guys' first time reaction to the intro in the next episode :D its asn asbolute banger and i think ange will absolutely love it
We wait for a year waiting episode 17 🤣🤣
A little detail may you miss, when pick say "hi", its a signal for porco, because porco in that room.
I can't wait for the new intro cover! Been excited for the rumbling cover since season 1
Poor Grisha. Nobody considers the possibility that he is just a good doctor :(
12:30 Classic Ange having the hots for characters in the worst moments.
that theory about Grisha having cured everyone with the founding titan wouldn't be possible cause in that time he did not have the founding titan and also he doesn't has royal blood (Eren also can't use the founding, that's why he and Zeke are working together, because Zeke has royal blood! Remembering, if Zeke had the founding he would be tainted with the vow renouncing war too like the Reiss family in s3!) Hope you guys did understand, my english is not that good, loving the reactions guys!
How the heck did you find this video pre-release LMAO
@@RoGiftRBLX patreon
@@RoGiftRBLX You're right ! And I'll just add that Grisha was a doctor in a country that was way more advanced scientifically than the Paradis island. That's why he was able to deal with a pandemic way more efficiently. No titan powers involved
If Zeke (or his child, if he had one) were to eat Eren, he wouldn't necessarily become affected by the vow. The vow is inherited, and Zeke is not a descendant of Karl Fritz.
@@marcusgaius yes, he is. Dina was a Fritz too
SO GREATFUL FOR THE FREQUENT UPLOADS, PLEASE CONTINUE
16:15 if you pause that frame you can actually see porco disguised amongst the soilders as pieck says 'Hi There', so that was her probably giving him the signal
I haven't commented in a while but I realy do love these reactions. Thanks. wd
@Carlie & Ange you guys are the luckiest when it comes to this show, literally. We had to wait a full YEAARRRR after this episode. :D luck you lol
You guys’ videos are really the highlight of my day!
You can notice the Jaw titan standing in the crowd that Pieck says hi to. I completely missed it the first time too
I cant wait for s4 part 2 reactions, it’s gonna be MAGNIFICENT and freaking emotional
Or maybe the founder used the power to cure the epidemic
@@s.k.abishek but how would the founder do that, if it was still in the hands of the royal family, who weren't doing anything to help?
@@igorfifka1113 they made a vow renouncing war but wouldn't they help the eldians inside the walls
@@s.k.abishek it's possible, but the epidemic was only spread throughout Shiganshina and was therefore not an existential threat to the entire race. Also, this is merely my opinion, but I believe the royals were not interfering at all, because, as they said: "The Eldians have to atone for their sins"
That was the last episode of season 4 part 1. Only the second part remains (12 episodes) and you will be to date. Season 4 part 3 should be around for 2023. The embiance is different on season 4 compare to the first 3 seasons since we know the truth about the world, and its another studio. But MAPPA is doing a very great job to complete the final season so far! There is still a lot that will going on on part 2! Can't wait to see your reactions on those 12 remaining epidodes! 😁
See you on season 4 part 2! 🤗
Porco's disguise was a great job, many reactors weren't realize him at the crowd
Fun fact: You could see Porco blending with the other soldiers when they were fawning over Pieck.
I'm 5 months late, but I really love you guys' reactions! ❤️
Best aot reactors honestly thanks for the videos guys look forward to the rest
I think Grisha was able to cure the plague within the walls because he had already seen it previously in Marley. And remember their technology is way more advanced so that helps as well
Hi C and A,
Good content.
The guy who was shot by Yelena wasn't one of her people.
He was loyal Marley trooper who just wanted to save his skin and volunteered on helping building up Paradise island.
Do remember, that they were 120 years cut off in isolation without any technological advance, so there is plenty to catch up.
Regards,
Jan.
You can ship anything you want in a show your watching thats part of the fun!
Uuuuuh I'm so excited for your reactions to the next episodes, it only gets better from here!
We waited 9 months after this episode just imagine the excitement the wait we felt at that time
If you go back and look at the scene where Pieck says 'Hello' to all the soldiers, while going upstairs, Galliard is one of the faces in that group
I can't believe I survived waiting almost 1 year for the next episode lol
11:34 was so funny to me
"Ah so she hates haters" 😂 like it's just her thing
when Pieck was climbing the stairs with Eren and the others, when Pieck said Hi to the soldiers you can see the jaw titans with them it was for a sec but go back and re watch that, I didn't noticed the 1st time too I literally just noticed it for the 1st time watching it with you guys hhhhhh
Your puns have me cackling every episode. Never change you two. 💙
