I have been listening to this Divine music more than 40 years, and I am always hungry for it.. It is my deepest obsession..ELP -forever,and never forget that all these masterpieces were created and performed by three genius human beings!!!!!!I am extremely sad because Keith and Greg a not alive but their concept of progressive music and philosophical messages in the lyrics will last forever... Marc Bonilla,Rachel Flowers and a line of dedicated supermusicians and conductors,(Terje Mikkelsen) contribute indescribably to that strong feeling, right? Thanks to everyone who expressed their love and emotions in the comments.
It did about 50 years ago (when I was a youngster in college 😵), but yeah should get play time now, I am never disappointed in the way just 3 people can generate such a fine musical piece from so few instruments 👏👏👏
@rickandrew6397 weren't these guys like mainstream in The 1970s? Starting a band that wrote 50 Part Fantasy epics full of odd time signatures and was "selling out" or whatever? Kinda crazy how far music has gone backwards since.
@@WocklessGamingforAnimeMoms THEY WERE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME IN SO MANY WAYS, BANDS IN THE MAIN STAYED AT ONE VENUE AND PLAYED THERE FOR 3 -6 DAYS THEN MOVED ON ELP WERE ALWAYS ON THE MOVE WITH TRUCK LOADS OF GEAR SET UP AND MOVED ON WITH ABOUT 40 ROAD CREW MORE OF EVERYTHING PALMER DRUM KIT WAS ABOUT 2 !/2 TONS THEY RECORDED EVERYTHING IN DIGITAL AND RECORDED IT BACK ONTO DIGITAL ONTO LP AND SINGLES, THE DEVELOPED WITH WHALFDALE QUADRAPHONIC SOUND , WHICH BECAME SROUNDSOUND USED A MASSIVE MOOG SINTH, WHICH STILL NO ONE ELSE DOES , DIGITAL DRUM KITS CAME FROM THEM, THEY WERE CUTTING EDGE IN EVERYTHING THEY DID, TRIPLE LP, NO ONE COULD DO WHAT THEY DID SO ENJOY THEM
First heard this as a young teenager. At the time I was over-exposed to the trivia and novelty records of the era, Imagine listening to radio tracks by bands like Sailor, Mud, the Gitter band, etc when Alan Freeman played this for the first time. It would be fair to state that music like this altered the subsequent direction of my life.
I had the pleasure of seeing them twice in the 70s. One of my all time favorites. Greg Lakes voice was pure perfection! So sad that there is only Carl left.
THEY WERE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME, AND I THINK THEY STILL ARE, DIGITAL LPS , ELECTRIC DRUM KITS, FOR RUNNER TO SOUND SOUND WHO ELSE USE A MOOG ON STAGE, 1970 -2024 WERE ARE THE REPLACEMENTS ?
ELP was a part of my youth. I got to see them once live too but that was dome time back. Since then like so many musicians of my youth some have died. Makes me sad what's called music now too.
Montreal Olympic Stadium 1977.Works Tour. 80,000 people. 4 rows from stage on the ground And 1996 Burlington Vermont Memorial Auditorium. Black Moon Tour.

One of the most underrated albulms in history. And I have listened to thousands and thousands of all categories of music. I am still astounded what Joselh Hayden and Mozart did. I like what Cecil Taylor did. Most pop, country/western, rap, japanese pop and their enka is o.k. but amateurish imo. We need to have a critical book on muscisians that went beyond what was humanly possible. Obviously Jimmie Hendrix was one. But some they had glimpses. Live performances of Ray Charles, John Scofield, or Anita O'Day's live singing "Sweet Georgis Brown & Tea for Two", sung outside are only a few. . .there maybe a hundred in this catgory.

The piano just takes you off on a journey.
Yep....Keith....Best keyboardist in pop-rock genre...He's being much missed
This is the music that should be getting radio play.

BBC HATED THEM
A very nice bathroom break for the dj

Indescribable is this piece until one listens to its astounding movements of musical mastery. Timeless and for all to enjoy.
This album reminds me of riding in my brother's brand new 1971 Grand Prix and listening to it through the factory 8-track player.
Tell him I'll give him twice what he paid new for it😁
Great time for music with ELP,Genesis,Yes ,King crimson ,supertramp

"Over exposed to novelty and trivia" summed up the issue of the day perfectly.
Try some Bach. Now that is music
I think you’re confused with the DJ. I can’t imagine Alan Freeman playing ELP. He was pure pop. Pure cornball.

What a great memory to cherish. Many of us envy you.
From the beginning - I loved this music and became a firm ELP fan.
Nice one!
Me too.
I970 - 2024 WERE ARE THEIR REPLACEMENTS - ITS PATHETIC - NO ONE IN SIGHT
These guys set a bar that won't be reached for a long time if at all

No one could touch them when they were at the top of their game. No one.
3 in their prime. Absolutely the best. ❤
Been a fan of ELP since 1975. I play this song when I have a bad day at work or in life. I'm playing it now.
Absolutely wonderful. I have always loved elp. ❤
One of Greg Lake's best soothing vocals!
C'est LaVie.
this is, in my opinion, the best piano performance in rock's history
This song is simply perfect!❤❤❤
Surprised it isn't a massive hit from ELP or in prog music in general. It is a masterpiece, no arguing.
Pure genius🎵
Another masterpiece, that was the soundtrack of our youth and if you compare it to today's music we've been very lucky...
Greg Lake❤
We love ELP ! 🙏
Songs when I was a teenager.
The Mona Lisa of music
What a masterpiece!!!
The Best Ever!!!!!!!!!

This album is in my CD player right now. Has been for a couple of days. Decades later it is still some of the finest.
Great song ! 👏👏❤️❤️
C'est avec cette chanson que j'ai découvert ELP quand j'avais 17 ans.
Ils ne m'ont jamais lâchés depuis (j'en ai 36).
Que música maravilhosa! ❤

Is that a cry for elp?
An ad before the song and another 2 during the song!! Ads in the middle of a song??
UA-cam are taking the piss.

You have to pay a monthly, only then will you get rid of them.
Is that intro based on Aeolean Harp by Henry Cowell?
