- "We plan to support the Air Force's initiative to complement western medicine with acupuncture care for service men and women in accordance with the May 2010 Pain Management Task Force objective and recommendation 4.2.1. Through this objective/recommendation, the Pain Management Task Force sought to enhance care to our DoD and VA beneficiaries by fostering this specific goal: "Incorporate integrative and alternative therapeutic modalities into a patient centered plan of care," said Dr. Stephen Burns, Air Force Acupuncture Program.
Just had this done at the Fort Worth VA for back and knee pain. It pretty much took the pain away instantly
I just had this done to me yesterday in the Emergency room at a local VA. I had zero clue what it was and have been in pain from an injury i got in Iraq 10 years ago. I was skeptical this would even do anything for me considering the amount of pain i was in to have to go to the ER. I was wrong. It improved my symptoms almost immediately. My pain is not completely gone but today i woke up refreshed and able to function. I am a firm believer that with continuous treatment i may even get my life back.

I"m trained in this modality, my teach was a Delta Force medic who is now an acupuncturist
This worked for me. I went twice to VA and the pain was dealt with for 6 months.
Any recent updates? I just got BFA done this morning.
I don't believe you had severe pain then.

It didn't work for me.
Have them in both ears right now, day two. Completely unimpressed, and someone forgot to mention that wearing them in below zero temps is idiotic.

I have had this done for back pain. It was by far the WORST experience of my life. It did not help my pain, actually made it worse. Oh and I ended up in the ER..
If that happened, it was done improperly. If anything it would not make it worse. It has nothing to do with aggravating anything. Plus....there is no way anything like this type of technique would cause you to end up in the ER. Think...acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and there has been no issue from any licensed person that has caused anything like that, anywhere. So, something else caused your issue. Sorry.
Low IQ assessment of problem. Acupuncture done incorrectly doesn't aggravate things to that extent. Like Jerry Ziffer said.
