that's why you gotta hyperanalyze what they did and never forfeit >:)
1s is the only mode that doesn't annoy me because I always know what I could have done better and don't get let down by anybody. But I had to stop playing 1v1 because it was making me get worse at the game in other modes.
@Maro
That's why i stopped playing 1s. And i am only Gold (lack of rotation and ground control stuff)
Have never quit rocket league, but I’ve taken lengthy breaks. Have been playing since 2016 a little over 2500 hours. Every time I come back I fall in love with the game all over again. It truly is a one of a kind game.
i started when i was like 6 and then left the game until 2020
@@veloraptr9306 I started playing when I was 21 and will be 27 this year! Time flies!
@@gabrielmerklin i know right
did that so many times before bro ^^
I agree, it's a one of a kind game, that's why psyomix needs to take care of it
For me, I must say it was a mixture of reasons. One the one hand, the grind you have to commit to was becoming annoying, as I did not want to spend my entire day playing Rocket League. On the other hand, the gratification for training and learning new techniques is minimal to say the least, as once you reach Diamond, the issue of smurfing becomes ever more severe. After a while, all the game did was ruining my afternoon and affecting my general mood. That was the point I realized I had to stop. I have never regretted my decision to quit and honestly, it feels like waking up after a long night of nightmares, as the game is subconsciously making you addicted and numbing you to your environment.
Nowadays it is already the same at Platin. Deleted it 2 weeks ago
im just shit at the game
That's every video game man. Welcome to surrogate activities designed to distract you.
I've always described playing rl like learning to play the piano. It takes a while to understand the basics and then literally years to become a pro (or GC or whatever). I feel like sometimes it's hard to keep playing cause I feel like I stop improving unless I start dumping loads more time into the game. Plus, every game feels like a sweat fest, games like fifa or cod I can play a bit relaxed and I don't get punished. With rl, you miss a shot, miss a save, look away from the screen for 2 seconds and you've basically lost the game
This may be why I never got past diamond lol
This is a great comment. I totally agree. I had quit piano a few years ago and wish I could get back into it, but seeing my older sister just crush some piano pieces while I’m stuck at the bottom really hurts. I still like playing rocket league, but it’s tough to do it often
@@jomanji1732 I teach music for a living. Keep practicing. Your sister is years the wiser and probably has the hours put in that allow her to play at that level. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and I know what it's like to start at the bottom. It's hard to keep practicing something else when you're already good at something, but now I play and teach guitar, piano, drums, bass, ukulele, vocals, and trumpet. Trumpet is the hardest and most frustrating as you really need to keep your embouchure muscles in shape, and if you have any sort of true pitch transposing instruments are like kryptonite.
If piano was a multiplayer instrument, you can improve by just practicing. Rocket league, you need good teamates
I cant quit rocket league. No matter what, I have experienced almost all of these things you mentioned (definitely havent “beat the game”) but the mechanical aspect keeps bringing me back. I love learning new mechanics and finding ways to hit the ball faster and faster with more accuracy. I have stopped caring about winning and focused on having as much fun as possible vibing in gc2
I’m with you bro! The game just feels too fun to give up and obviously have dealt with all of these things as well

I am a very laid back guy, but toxicity in rocket league just has a way of getting me tilted in a way no other frustration can. Ever since turning off chat, I've found rocket league to be much more enjoyable. While you could occasionally have a positive interaction, the negativity far outweighs it in my experience. Being able to just play the game without jerks being mean has been one of the best ways to reignite my love for this game.
I felt number 1 on a spiritual level. It's one thing when they forfeit and stop playing, but its another when they get butt hurt and start playing for the other team.
Lmaooo yeah when they literally start playing for the other team you know they MAD AF hahahahha
This recently happened to me but I ended up clutching and saving multiple balls and even scoring 1v 3 against my salty teammate. Best feeling in the world
I finally reached Plat a couple days ago and I absolutely hate it here. Every single game is either someone afk half the game, whiffes every shot, or rages at the slightest mistake. Someone even wanted to forfeit when we were winning 4-2
You can clearly see how hard the editors worked in this video, great content!

I’ve been playing this game for 3 years now. Personally, I still find the game fun but it can get a bit repetitive and frustrating at times. For example, when I have to play a match, I have to constantly sweat and focus all the time which just isn’t fun at all. Sometimes I just want to be able to relax and play around, but with the players I continue to face it’s literally impossible. My day consists of loading up the game, playing, then complaining then getting off. I still love this game, but I still feel there’s more that can be added to the game to keep it fresh again. We probably won’t get anything new until the new Unreal Engine 5.
Facts that’s why I just don’t feel like grinding
i’ve been playing since 2016 i had to takes year breaks then came back a couple years ago
I reached Champ in Rumble and got bad teammates for the next 15 or so games. It was awful 😞 I thought about quitting since it kept me from herring champ rewards. I’m trying to get back now but it’s a huge struggle. My teammates play like golds… and I have to work so hard just to get defeated in overtime. I was about to score in it and get back in D3, when suddenly I was just kicked from the game. I couldn’t get back in and was penalized for 24 hours!!!! This game sucks sometimes.
@@Zyphlyx yo what rank are you in 2s so ill help u get champ rewards? Im gc1 btw ;)
I know people hate smurfs but maybe you could do a road to supersonic. I personnally don't see anything wrong with smurfing if your not toxic , people being better than you is life . Like i'm pretty good at fussball and better than most people i'm up against i can beat 1 handed but they don't complain about it ( but they do quit witch is suppose is why people hate smurfs i guess )
I think the thing that keeps people addicted is that feeling when you are playing like a god that lasts like 3 days and you constantly play to get that feeling again even if it takes months to happen. Once you realize that on a deep level it’s easy to quit because you realize there are other games where progression is very clear and linear.
very good point
That godlike feeling is exactly how drugs work! And drugs are bad mmmmkay
I’ve always been a person to use demos constantly. Whenever I demo someone I’d say 75% of the time they get super mad with quick chats but for me when I get demoed I can’t help but think they made such a smart play.
since demos are not an exclusive mechanic but rather a mechanic everyone can use doesnt make me feel angry when its used against me, also the feeling of being outplayed is by far better than the feeling of just getting unlucky or the feeling of being hopeless in a game
THANK YOU! Someone who thinks the same way i do. I agree with both of of your comments @reiper @Mxlcum
@@Bull599 \ (' v ') /
If it's a well timed demo/bump as part of the play, I don't get mad. When I'm being chased the entire match that's when it becomes unbearable. It feels SOOOO good though when we beat those teams with a third that just goes for demos though, so it's not all bad.
@@MrAlbinopapa if you get mad when people chase you the entire game you're just giving them what they want tbh
i quit twice troughout the years, not playing for months before the itch came back. the one reason for both times was simple: the TOXICITY of some people just made me think "i dont need this negativity in my life"
Exactly
Yep it’s been 6 months since I last played, was on a shorter break before that and my first game back I had an insanely toxic teammate that killed any desire to play again.
Turn off chat, thats what i used to do
FYI don't care what people think it's that ez
The problem with 3s, usually if it's a 2 stack and you are solo , they don't play with you but against you, and that's why I'm a 2s main.
Psyonix, please bring back the forbidden playlist (solo 3s)
whats solo 3s
@@kenality5630 must be a new player lol, solos standard was a casual and comp gamemode that basically had everyone solo queue 3v3s so no one was in their own party.
Exactly!!
WTF they got rid of solo queue I have no idea. What was it hurting? What benefit was there in getting rid of it?
@@TorraTech I started playing in July last year but I haven't played for a couple weeks. The way op worded it was confusing. "the forbidden Playlist." And I didn't think that psyonix would actually remove solo queuing for 3s like wtf thats dumb asf. Anywayim not that new just confused for multiple reasons n I'm gonna hop on again today to see it for myself
@@kenality5630 your good man, they removed it tbh right before the whole merge with epic games, keep on getting better!
I feel the derank thing. So often I derank and keep my composure to try to get back (ill be honest sometimes I dont) but because I try to be a team player and not be a ball chaser my teammates just end up either whiffing, cut rotation, or even worse can't hit the ball hard enough resulting in an unintentional pass to the other team
Nothing makes me more mad than someone who cuts rotation. It throws the whole teams rhythm off.
I'll take a break from RL every now and then but I will most definitely always come back to it. it has a special place in my heart
My chest hurts. Wasn't ready for #15 🤣
your videos are evidence lol
Haha
#15 is no reason to quit. It's a reason to start demoing more
#1 hits me hard, man. I’m only d3, so I thought it was just a low rank problem, but it’s tough to see that it happens all the way up to the top😓
Same bro. D3 div4 and on a 3 losing streak because of my toxic teammates. We end up draw and he starts what a saving and throwing on purpose. I dont get why ppl like that play this game
@@AhmeddR6 yeah, it’s basically waiting until you vibe with someone, and they actually party up, win a bunch of games, then next time going through these types of losses and start the cycle all over again.
bruh i know right
d3's rise up
on another note tho 3 killed me
im plat 1 in 3s and i just cant do anything cause they double commit and then get toxic and flame u for "not having enough points" and being useless
@@lemon66111 Leth really helped me rise up in threes. Granted I’ve only JUST hit d1, but you really just hafta sit back and let them try to do all the scoring. As long as you’re preventing goals on your net, you eventually rise up higher.
my reason for quitting was how toxic the youtube community is always just hating on platinums and judging people by their rank.
1:26 Oh my god #2 is so insanely accurate I have experienced this my entire rl "career" in every single rank I have gone through. I've been in champ for the past year and a half now and I've completely resided to this reality where its just insane ups then plummetting downs. To avoid giving up on everything though I moved my focus from the rank side of things to mechanics side and feeling rewarded being able to unlock new skills. It makes the rank less painful and allows you to feel progression even if your rank is regressing. (just my experience for whoever cares)
piza
Me too. I’ve been going from champ 2 div 4 all the way down to diamond 3 doc 1 and back up and currently I’m in my 8th regression
I haven't quit entirely yet, but occasionally prefer to play with and against bots in the custom season mode, just to have a few games without dealing with some of the behaviour you've mentioned. I can confirm though, getting criticised for mistakes or even close misses come from teammates and opposing players no matter what your rank is, even if they are playing worse then you are lol
Great video, with great points. I'm not quitting RL, but yeah, smurfs are an issue. And it's not even like there is ONE smurf in the opp. team anymore, oh no sir. Smurfs now frequently team up... and now you and two others random C1s are in ranked match against 3 high GC buddies. They are tornado spin freestyling, double flip-resetting, doing breezies and musties, passing to each other, chilling out... while you and your rando team mates are running around like headless chickens, bumping into each other like Curly, Larry and Moe, and wondering what else could we be doing with our lives.
Another fun scenario is when you are up against the three -musketeers- smurfketeers, and one of your team is also a smurf who's just solo-queuing. A minute into the match your solo smurf teammate would start flaming you for not being "good enough", would refuse to forfeit, and then start playing for the opp. team. Yaaaay, fun times. And if you abandon match, you get banned, lose a ton of MMR, and the smurf teammate (aka toxic pos) simply chooses "leave match" afterwards and goes on with only a fraction of MMR lost to ruin someone else's day.
I hate how this is so true, I encounter smurfs once every 2-3 games minimum and then when I complain about it people just think I'm bad, smurfs not only make you lose mmr but they also stop all of your momentum, all the fun you were having and much more which in the long term brings you down a lot
Hi CBell! It would be so easy to fix a few big problems in RL.
1. Next to "Report player" add a "Players I dont want to play with again" option, so if you have a rage quitter/toxic player, you can ban him from your potential teammate list. This way these players would have hard time finding games as everyone would just block them (even if the block last for ~3 months, or increase over time if you block someone multiple times).
2. Add customizable targets to custom training, so you can create a very specific training pack. Customizable things like:
- Net with only partially open areas that can help you to train placing shots (similarly to the aim workshop map).
- Opponent cars that you can customize how they move, or just making them plain simple AI bots.
3. Party ranked matches where you as a GC can join with a Plat friend to see how the two of you would play. However, it should be different to standard 2s and 3s as this would certainly have an impact on those players' ranks who play the game seriously.
4. Spectating others' matches. Would be incredible if we could join non-ranked matches of others to see how they play. Coaches could use this to be able to watch the person they are mentoring live. This could seriously impact competitive matches, so definitely should not be allowed in ranked matches.
5. Rethink how the mmr is calculated after a win/loss. While this is quite difficult, but given how much data is available about players, I think Psyonix could come up with a system that can differentiate between HOW you won/lost a match. Close wins/losses should not give you a lot of mmr, while smacking/being smacked should result in a greater mmr gain/loss.
Psyonix needs to take notes man. Preach it.
The video was great I also noticed something that made me enjoy it more; it’s when I heard the music corresponding to the graphic you were showing and I thought bruh that dude is putting efforts in his videos !
Good continuation great job
The first one hits home way too hard… JUST got to GC1 in 3v3 and as soon as I came to that level people started being way more toxic just in general. And the amount of “ff”s are extreme! Every other game there’s either toxicity or ff’s. :(
i know man , the gc players are very good but they are so boring to play with, they are all tryharding or whatever they are doing idk, but they are ALWAYS mad. You do a little mistake and they want you to go in hell.....
I would ignore the ffs and turn off comments to focus on the game
I went from Plat 3 Div 4 to gold 3 in a day 😂😂 the lower I got the harder it was to win because it became more of a 2v1. Had to really grind to get up to Diamond 1. But I still can stand playing with randoms and I can’t find a teammate I like that’s around my rank so I ended up just quitting today ironically lol
i feel you on the queing in 2's.. usually everytime we get down by 2 goals my random teamate would either ff or trash talk when there's still a lot of time left in the match. It just ends up ruining your mood and would get me tilted to the point where I would have to play a different game mode. I ended up uninstalling a couple weeks ago because it was happening too often. I swear champ is the new Diamond with players having a huge ego and very toxic for no reason and need that reality check.
It's so frustrating, because after they start being toxic after 2 goals or an early goal I start getting mad so I start playing more reckless and thus, worse, so he keeps on hating and its infuriating, I've tried disabling chat or putting only team chat, but it's useless when 95% of the time the toxic guy isn't even the opponent, it's your own teammate
Bro your 100% correct flipping 5yr old fortnite players man. I turned my chat off but than they just start throwing and own goaling haha
@@adrianpaulochoa9825 yeah man they’re the worst
So true!
yeah, high Diamond/Lower Champ players are very toxic :3 ..... cant say about the higher ranks, never been there.
Quit about 4 times, last time was today. Toxicity, being overly bad at the game and teamates who either carry you to boredom or teamates who don't know where the acceleration button is.
2 times boredom and 2 times being overly mad and stressed about basically everything.
More fun with friends, but still not enough
ive quit multiple times, mainly because i heard a youtuber say if i didn't spend hours learning a mechanic id never improve. that actually had a effect on my gameplay and i didnt think i would ever be good, and then whenever id have a bad game id delete rocket league.
i also quit twice before because i kept getting put against people with higher skill levels. i havent even been playing that long
I played Rocket League for about a year, (I quit about 8 months ago). When I first started competitive, I was bronze, but over the course of those 8 months, I got up to high champ 3. What got me to quit was that I had a revelation one game - I thought back to when I was bronze grinding silver, silver grinding gold, gold grinding plat, and plat grinding diamond. I thought to myself "my goal is to get out of elo hell, where the players are toxic, where every game is hard, where I get what a save'd at every chance." "if I could just get out of plat or if I could just get out of diamond - maybe the higher ranked players wouldn't be such assholes."
nothing changes at the higher ranks of the game, save for you're expected to be consistent and play as a team. You still get what a save!'d by kids who are lucky to be in the same rank as you. You still have random team-mates put in your comp games that are absolutely bad, you still have players blame you for getting scored on when you rotate in after spending 37 years trying to rotate in but getting cut off by the ball-chaser whose idea of rotating out is going to grab more boost so he can rotate back in.

Having played this game on and off since 2016, I have never quit this game completely, but I've also taken long breaks because I love playing other games. I have just over 1100 hours after playing for almost 6 years. Shows how little I play this game on a regular basis, yet it's a game that I can't ever quit completely.
Great vid man keep it up i dont play the game as much but its still fun keep up the great work

The ranked issues are definitely very prevalent below gc2. The way I have told people to deal with them are to hide their ranks and mmr through bakkes mod. Ive been doing it for a while and it gets rid of “playing to get back to where you were”. Instead you play to win and do your best.
I've only been playing since the end of 2019, but I've never considered quitting at all. I do get why people get tilted over the ballchasing teammates and demos, but I just chalk it up to normal online behaviors. Whatever their reasons for being toxic/salty/bad at the game, it usually doesn't have anything to do with you anyway lol.
Edit to tilt some folks: *Demos are a legit mechanic*
lol I got executioner 2 times in a single ones game and the guy asked if I was woody. Im gold1
Demos are a game mechanic fr and people have to realize that
Also I get demos once every 3 games
Bruh the first clip is the shot you just posted 😭 still absolutely stunning 🔥🔥🔥
Good content as always!
This video was surprisingly perfect. You covered some major reasons I quit RL (on ps4, I still play sideswipe).
1. The constant "sorry" from teammates (mentioned)
2. Joining games where the team I'm on was losing by 3+ already (not mentioned)
And more.
2 is casual related, nothing to rage about
I truly love the game rocket league, have been playing it for a while. But it just feels like this has become its greatest downfall, so I had taken a break from it. The reason I stopped playing rocket league is mainly due to the amount of toxicity that teammates deal out. It doesn't matter what rank you are, you will always have those people who think that they are better than you in every way, then just try to one many army the game. It has gotten to the point where they won't even let you have the ball anymore cause they will just come up and take it from you while it is in your possession. Then, when things go wrong, they just leave making you face the opposition by yourself causing you to lower in rank. Truly heart breaking to see it happen.
I had a 2-3 month hiatus from Rocket League back at the beginning of 2021. It was mainly because of a league I was in at the time. We had lost an important match being reverse swept and that was just it for me.
Having done that hiatus though, I feel it helped me regain my enjoyment for the game and also helped with being able to handle high stress situations better. So I feel it was actually a blessing in disguise.
Damn... Awesome vids... 😂😂 the last one got me real real hard... 😅
I never thought I'd quit after 5 years but it was just too frustrating and didn't feel fun anymore. so I just play sideswipe here and there since it's still new and more fun for me than rocket league is :/
I've quit before and I've come back. And I've also felt like quitting a lot.
Mainly because of toxic teammates, smurfs and lack of variety.
Also, the way people play casual and extra modes (particularly now extra modes are ranked) means that it often feels like there isn't just a fun way to play the game.
They need a super casual mode...
Like a first to 50 game where new players are swapped in and out every 3 minutes but the game carries on and people are encouraged to just be silly.
Dude that's actually smart, a game mode where a team needs like tons of goals to win and you get bounced if you get scored on or something and it keeps accumulating more players and you get rewards for staying in longer
you are on epics watch list of people they don't want to hire, your ideas are to forward thinking and could make the game good, that would break their need to bring the game to it's knees so they can change it to be what they want it to be without getting too much backlash.
Good vids man🔥🔥
I just started playing this in April of 2021. Rocket League always seem like kind of a kids game to me for some reason and it wasn't until somebody at work with got me to try it I discovered what a great game it is. It's very unique and no other game skills translate over to it so it makes it a lot of fun to watch yourself get better. Probably the hardest most competitive game I've ever played
I've been playing 7 years and don't see myself ever quitting.
Being naturally competitive, and falling in love with the game all those years ago, I can't stop 😅
This is Rocket League!
With the weird social experiment problems, yes please
It just seems like one of those games you either love it or don't. Same as any sport you can name. If it's your thing, you don't need more than just the game to keep it interesting and engaging. Baseball, basketball etc are largely unchanged because it wouldn't be the same if they were updated to play differently.
I do think it would be appreciated if more updates happened like giving us some social stuff to do with clubs or further customizations, but the game is so solid. Don't need anything else on that except improving netcode and servers.

In your tournament win video the first game you had a bunch of double commits and whiffs…
I quit the game a couple of years ago, but one of the reasons you didn't list that was a huge attributing factor for me was lag. That, along with the fact that no matter how hard I tried, I got spit on and flushed, because I play very casually and never cared about learning advanced techniques.
Personally, I feel that it is a game that, unless you commit to it, you should just avoid it altogether. It's a hyper-competitive experience that I cannot enjoy.
As a guy who solo q’s duos I get all this especially the toxic teammates I always try to make plays for teammates and some how they end up whiffing and getting pissed then throwing the game.
I think the change that would help me enjoy this game way more s the following: Age filter! I am 30 years now and really love RL. But bothers me the most is players who are toxic (even though they are clearly worse than you are) because they don't want to realize their own mistakes and just blame you to feel better about themselves. Whenever I have nice teammates who cover you or pass you and I am asking them for their age, they are always above lets say 20. I understand this, you are not really self-aware in a young age and have a lot of anger if you have some difficulties in life. I would never want to play against or even worse with my 15 yo self. So please, either have something like a toxicity filter (when someone get downvoted lets say 10 times, they only get to play other players who are toxic as well. Because right now, if you report someone for unsportsmanslike behaviour, nothing happens. It's so annoying to come back from 10h of work, boot up your pc to have some relaxation going on and only to jump in 2s, where your mate is just going to (fail to) airdribble and what a saves me, wishes that my mum dies(really happened) and start to play 3v1.
never quit, also only started season 4, im plat and feel like there is so much to do still, but i can see some of theose reasons are legit, not just a bunch of garbage, "my tm8 is bad" "im lagging", GREAT VID!
Sometimes not seing the message when I open the game : "thanks to your reports, actions have been taken against a player...." makes me want to quit.
Biggest thing is none of my friends play, and getting new players involved and trying to play with the large rank difference makes it either boring for you, or impossible for them.
I find that when I start to get angry multiple times in a row, every time I get on, I just take a break and play other games for a week or two. It's always so refreshing to come back after a short time away because the skill doesn't go away for me I actually slow down and think about my plays a little more before I execute them. Makes playing less of a thing to just do because I'm bored and turns it into a fun challenge getting better after not practicing for a while
For me 1s is the only playlist I can play without losing my mind. Everything is on me so if I lose a game it was my fault. I don’t have to rely on a teammate getting an easy save or hitting a shot.
Exactly. Don't understand why people are so mad about it.
@@christiantaylor1495 It is because so many people have such huge egos and then when they go into 1s and see how shit they actually are they get all pissy about it and have the mindset they they are better than the opponent. Thats what I see all the time. They dont try to improve but instead just blame teammates and have a toxic mindset lol
@@axiatrix That's right. But even pros get mad at it even when they can still get SSL in 1s.
Im very suprised that "heavy car" / game consistency isnt in here. Im high GC but consistently struggle with my car not turning or moving at the same speed every day. For me Im playing a different game it feels like everytime I log on, its made me quit several times and ik others feel the same
THIS
Heavy car thing has been the reason I've quit the game several times. I come back to see if it was fixed, but no, it stills happens.
I know this video is a year old. I got rocket league yesterday and have been dealing with insane players hitting almost the same shots I see in the esports events. Idk what kind of MM this game uses but I can see how this would make anyone new to the game quit immediately. Unfortunately I am too stubborn to quit so I will be pressing on and training in the TERRIBLE practice modes.
Idk i quit because of the lack of power in my pc, fell in love with the game got to plat 1 in less than 100 hours of gameplay played and played after that and my interest dropped because playing on 40fps and the lowest graphics hurts ur eyes and just isnt fun. Btw amazing work on the vid 👍.

# 3, 5, 9, 10, 14, 15 are the main ones for me and they all kinda lead into each other:
# 15 -This one is a personal complaint because to me Demos feel inconsistent ash sometimes online
# 5 - BAD TM8S - I noticed this immediately after RL went F2P. Ofc it was always a thing but it ramped up x10 since that update. Seriously. Anyone who was champ before the F2P update , tell me rn straight up its the same rank as it was before. I betchu cant Cuz its simply not. Yes Same name but not the same skill required . This leads into:
# 10 - MISTAKES - Yes Ik theres training packs & Free play but Im talking about Game sense and Positioning. How else are you supposed to hone those two skills other than actually playing the game. And before you say " You have to adapt to your tm8s playstyle" Stfu. Why? As Cbell himself said for #5 you can rotate and support as well as you can but in the end it prob will still not be enough . And If you win , so what? Did you as a player improve playing with said bad Tm8? If anything really , it either made you Slower, Passive, and or Trust less .
# 3 - With no new major update for a "skys the limit" kind of game like RL, (Theres so much more they can do for this game) it leads into:
# 9 - REPETITIVENESS - Since there's nothing to do but train and play the same thing, which Ultimately leads to:
# 10 - BORING IK for a fact that everyone has put down this game at least once for a while due to lack of interest
Take this how you will, but I have found that finding a tm8 (or multiple) helps eliminate the majority of the issues on this list. And even when you’re not doing so hot, I find it much easier to laugh it off with your friend/tm8. Also I don’t see how anyone can get bored with all the custom maps/game modes people like Leth keep making.
@@aideng03 this is coming from a console 3s main player who solo qd all the way to Champ before F2P update. Now I only play with ma bois
@@mzmc3020 ahh I see. Wish they would add custom stuff into the game already. (Especially so you guys on console and do it). But yah with yo homies if definitely the way to go
Yeah console players like me can’t access fun stuff like Leth can.
I was playing in a Tournament held by telus last year, my teammates never wanted to practice, communicate and were very toxic to each other. After I pulled out of the tournament I stopped playing for 3 months.
Finally called it quits after getting abuse the last 2 days.
Ive put thousands of hours in and i can't do half of what other players do at my rank (diamond 1).
It frustrates me so much it got me down.
Short tip: if you have toxic people in your lobby you can mute them. You dont even have to mute all, you can only mute one or two. Just wanted some more people to use that, it is making the game much more fun :)
i just have chat disabled

I quit as it is way too repetitive and nothing ever changes and there are never any major updates
u have a fortnite pfp tho one of the most repetitive type of games
I solo que a lot and #1, 2, and 4 hit home. It's already tough enough to win without much communication, but then adding in emotionally unstable and afk teammates makes it unbelievably frustrating. I've had teammates vote to forfeit while we are winning......
I could handle a couple of these for a long time. I lasted a long time dealing with reasons 1,2, 4, and 5. But when it became free to play.... reason 11 was the final straw. I kept playing and tried to overcome the huge influx in smurfs, but it's just too much when combined with the other 4 reasons to just stop playing. I am so over it I actually stopped playing ANY competetive games and have been having a blast with singleplayer adventure games and roguelikes. :)
i feel like ive gotten as far as i can with a broken controller and being on console, pc just has so many advantages as well as mods and workshop maps to make the game more enjoyable. console sucks
For number 6, I really like one's because the people who say it requires no skill and therefore quit make me happy. Also Cbel in this video every goal you got scored on, it was clear that you pushed up too far. So, you have something to work on. Don't hate the game or the player!

Rocket league is an addiction that’s hard to break. But if you do you’ll see the ridiculous volume of better alternatives to play. I quit indefinitely and haven’t looked back but still love to watch pros play.
I semi-quit from boredom, but it's less quitting and more I just started playing other games more and the total time I spend gaming is kind of limited compared to a lot of people. I'll probably start playing more in March, but for now I'm prepping for Witch Queen to see if I can get a day 2 campaign clear, which will take a lot of my time.
I seen RACE in the key elements and was stunned 😂 excited to see what that means
im getting close to quitting because of the community in the gold - champ which is pretty bad, recently i got 3 bad teammates in a row; one toxic, one throwing, one straight up leaving. this was also right after i was on a win streak and was in a great mood, going up a few divisions in a row and then immediately having to go down because of my teammates just not having a good mental
Cbell i think you should do a video of the same ranks (2s or 3s doesnt matter) with 1 team where you team up randoms vs the other team who already play together. Just an idea thought it would be interesting love your videos!
The most annoying thing is when you play ones and you get scored on but the other person does not skip the replays on purpose even if you skipped all of your replay goals. It happens to me every 2 games
Why in the world is your intro about me not subbing? i literally am subbed! With notifications on
I didn't quit for any of those reason really, well kinda. The grinding got annoying for the most part, but in honesty my love for the game just died out . I was playing it three years straight (literally the only game I played.) I moved from xbox to PC to even stream the game. I even made a cringy montage video. I met a lot of good friends along the way but never could really keep up with them. I stop playing two seasons ago shortly after I hit champ one in threes (solo qued the whole way lol ) . I think if I had a team that worked well together and trained together then maybe I would play again, but I still love rocket league to some extent, and it holds special place for me. Cbell love your videos man
The one about dropping down resonated with me, I had a bad streak with lots of ff’s, bad tm8’s, bad mechanics and playing from my end and I came from c3 to d3 and I can’t figure out how to play with diamonds luckily I’m c1 now but I can’t figure it out
It’s crazy how accurate and relatable this is to me .
The desync in this game is incredible. It hits different when when you hit the ball and then the replay shows something entirely different.
The smurfing in this game is so ridiculous. As a D3 I've experienced so many smurfs that I started looking up every player I play in 2s on rocket league tracker and after doing that for about 1 week of consistent play, about 40% of my games had somebody with under 200 wins. Ridiculous
This is more of a relatable/stressfull video for me than the acual thing
I rage when the matchmaking system in competitive decides to give me a bad teammate/s. Even though my skills are between gold and plat, I still rage. The game felt unbalanced and I might quit soon. If people say "skill issue" because the teams lost, I can tell that this line would get very old to the point where it's meaningless
Same lmao and brainless people says i'm suck but i play so well and i only get trash teammates
great video!
I have come pretty close to quitting because of smurfs, try hards in casual, and the lack of custom game improvements. I stay in because RL is, at the end of the day, instant gratification for better or worse. What I have quit is trying to finish placements in the beginning of the season. This season is the first time I have ran into career derankers sandbaggers, and it is much more frustrating than a smurf
generaly i dont have a problem with bumps/demos but when people stop playing the game to only go for them it gets annoying since i mainly play 1v1
I noticed recently the curse of solo queueing in 3s.
Going up to champ 2 (I'm champ3 in 2s) solo I always get matched up against a full team of 3 and a team of 2 people on my side, and oh my God for some reason they play the match like it's a 2v3.
So many times they've hit the ball to the corner when I had an open net in front of me, and the whiffs.
I don't know why but in 3s opponents and teammates whiff a lot.
Next vid of the series - Why pros quit being a pro
I think this would be an amazing idea!
I have just quit now. I picked it up a few weeks ago and have been playing it a good amount. I was enjoying the struggle to get better, casual got really tough, lots of diamond tournament winners but I figured that would help me improve. Competitive was a nightmare though, I saw an amazing guy who at the end had unranked four times in the 20 matches I played. I was only a Gold, and brand new too.
Then I tried a tournament, 6-3 up in the first game then both of my teammates either leave or get kicked at the same time. Two minutes to go I just about hold on, and my reward is going to the next round and getting an 8-2 thrashing in a 1v3. Everyone who wants to make the game worse seems to have free reign, and when it gets abandoned, Psyonix will have nobody to blame but themselves for their own laziness and greed.
I haven’t quit but I stopped taking ranked seriously. The main reason roots stems from the smurf problem: I don’t care about playing against smurfs, but too many people have gotten carried to ranks they don’t belong in. Every time I solo queue I get literal platinums on my team at GC1.
Solo queuing twos my teammate either quits when were one goal down or they are unbelievably bad at the game.
Lot of server problems where i cant even control the car, leave and get ban. Mismatches or smurfs leave get ban. Rocket League loves to Ban and it sucks, very easy to quit this game fast.
Started the game in season 2 free to play and I’m gc1 1506 mmr in 2s, c2 in 1s and c2 in 3s. Since I sorta just started I’m definitely not quitting any time soon but I can definitely relate to a lot of these 😂
Ive been taking breaks from RL because of the server issues Ive been dealing with. I cant even see where the ball is going after someone hits it due to some weird lag. Sometimes it changes direction about half a second after the initial touch and by then its too late to react.
I've never really uninstalled/quit, but I do try to take some occasional breaks, 'cause I feel like I end up burning myself out on the game and start playing worse (like, whenever I reach champ 1 I'd immediately go on a losing streak down to diamond 2)
this is just so true HONEST even in gold and lower ranks
I have gotten to gc 1 last season for the first time and now I am stuck in champ 3 again, teammates are awful and literally abandon 1 goal down with 4 minutes left, there's also the teammates that legit can't even aerial so I have to play faster and carry then they end up taking my boost and missing an ez save. I keep going against smurfs that are just toxic for no reason and I always lose by a little bit. Despite how much I hate this game, I play sometimes because I don't want my 500 hours in it to be a waste ...
Little surprised it didn't come up but my biggest frustration is lag. I recognize this isn't rocket league specific but it matters a lot less in some other games. When I am last back and all of a sudden my car and the ball start teleporting I just get upset for being powerless to do anything. Still waiting for that "lagging" quickchat, even if it will be abused.
i just cant quit this game man although ive taken multi-month long breaks ive always came back to it and i recently came back to it once free to play launched and im now sitting at diamond 2. pushing for champ!
I remember my mom telling me that I would regret in the future because I played too much, but I think I would never regret this even though I could probably spend more time outside or with friends more, or something else.
Been playing it since it came out and im champ 1 in 2s for the first time this season its a hard game but personally that is what keeps me to come back
