  • In Puerto Rico, the San Sebastian Street Festival (SanSe) marks the end of the Christmas holiday season. Celebrated on the third Thursday of January each year, the Caribbean island takes to the streets to celebrate the martyr San Sebastian and its cultural heritage. Over the course of four days, the Calle San Sebastian is filled with music, dance, and artisans sharing the best of what Puerto Rico has to offer.
Join us in Old San Juan as we learn about what makes San Sebastian such an important aspect of Puerto Rican culture.

I live in Puerto Rico, and I have to tell you that your job is excellent, so keep doing it. Puerto Rico is one of the best places to live in the world. It’s american soil,so everything has to be under federal standards, from health care to infrastructure. Our temperature is between 80’s and 90’s all year round. We have a lot of beautiful beaches, actually, some ranked between the most beautiful in the world. And also, we are very welcoming people; welcome to Puerto Rico guys!

Kinda sucks we are us territory to be honest. Alot of disavantages. Puerto rico is the only country in latin america that is depopulating just because we can freely go to the states when we experience hardships so P.R. loses people easily.

@ok 01 just look at other latin american countries they seem to be doing just fined without any U.S. interaction. I will feel so proud if Puerto Rico become independent. I dislike the U.S.A ways and living.

@@spacecodes2 You're wrong!! That obsession with race nationality and color is an American thing. It's not just a few, as you want to make it seem. And it is also kind of silly for you to lie to yourself.

@ok 01 Yo tambien. I traveled to many countries also and none like United States. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I knew the meaning of racism, but in Puerto Rico you go to school with people of all shades and fiscal characteristics that being white was never a reason to feel better than anyone. I mean, in Puerto Rico there's no type of white privileged what so ever!!! Jajajaja Y despues, I moved to United States and I was white until I opened my mouth and they heard my thick Rican accent. Then their attitude towards me would change and It was like, they thought I was as smart as my accent in English, therefore they didn't have to respect me much. That used to bothered me a lot. Especially when most times it came from a fucking monolingual.

I turned Spanish subtitles on during the interview May did to be able to read what was spoken as I'm better at understanding Spanish if I can read what is being said in addition to hearing it. It would have been good to hear you two speak in Spanish also (rather than English). If people want an English translation they can turn on English subtitles.

The Carribe Hilton was the most exciting Hotel I have ever seen with live entertainment, dance club, casino, with breathtaking beach landscaping with big pool and several jacuzzis. Hi Anita! Vegan options are sometimes hard to come by here, but you can usually find _arroz con gandules_ or _monfongo de vegetales._ There are also some vegan restaurants here. One we know of makes Puerto Rican food so you can try different Puerto Rican cuisine veganized.
Haggling over prices isn’t common here in our experience. It seems like transactions are just like in the rest of the US.
