Glidden Diamond and PPG make PHENOMENAL paint! We tested multiples of every brand, and Glidden Diamond was the best for the money (and beat BM and SW in all 3 tests).

All are gorgeous color suggestions. Thank you for being direct about undertones and issues to consider when selecting - valuable info!

Thank you!!! I have been trying to decide what color to paint my kitchen. I have white cabinets and a color similar to Classic Gray by Benjamin Moore on the walls. I want a more beige color, but I fear the old 1990s beiges. This video is so helpful!

Great video Ashley! It helps so much to know the undertones and how they work together. Thank you for the info 😊

Pale Oak is my go to colour - it works very well with cloud white baseboards and wood floors. Thanks for the info.

I agree, Pale Oak is lovely, and fairly easy to work with. Thanks for watching!

what whole house wall color would you recommend for white cabinets (I think they are Decorator's White) with dark hardwood (Walnut/Mahogany) floors?

I love and appreciate your videos.
question: what color would you paint walls in north facing kitchen that has Behr English Channel LRV 11 on lower cabinets and a bright warm white (Behr polar bear LRV 90 on upper cabinets) if you wanted a warm paint providing light to medium contrast? ( I like whites with pink undertones and really don't like yellows- Im looking at behr new house white, LRV 85 for my walls but unsure if it's throwing off a tinge too much pink as my kitchen is so dark). appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
(for context English Channel is like SW indigo batik and polar bear is like SW white snow)

Your videos are great. I have collingwood in my kitchen and my cupboards and trim are cloud white. I find the ceiling dingy with collingwood. Is there a brighter white I could use other than the cloud white?

BM simply white is my go to, for a brighter off-white. You can also go with BM Chantilly Lace for a very bright white (this is not an off-white, but a true white.)

How do you find out the LRV of the paint? Thanks.

Thanks for very informative video. I am curious if you think sherwin Williams pure white is white enough to pair with SW white duck on the walls. Also is white duck neutral enough to support a darker gray with blue undertone in furniture.

I much prefer pairing White Duck with SW high reflective white, as there's a much greater contrast between the two. High reflective is a true white paint color, just like Pure White, but it's much lighter and brighter. hope this helps you with your kitchen!

White duck is actually a greige and has a green undertone. The name is very misleading because most people think it's an off-white. Theoretically, it will not look great with blue-gray undertones. What would be a solution in your situation is to do a greige with a purple undertone on your walls if you don't want to do a gray with a blue undertone.

Thank you for replying. I suspect the same goes for a deep blue gray with accessible beige walls. Would most likely go better with BM collingwood or sw worldly gray.

Do you think Agreeable Gray is more gray than beige? 😊

@@homelikeyoumeanit looks like the consultation is only through pictures. Is This correct? . I purchased my first home (condo) two years ago (4th time cancer survivor so I never thought this was ever possible for me) and have renovated (did a lot of the work myself and cousin completed much of the heavy work) the entire condo. Once I find the correct wall paint (painted so far two times) I can then buy furniture. I am at a stand still because I have not found the right wall paint or maybe I have (not good with color) but I know what I like. I would really like to finish the project so I may enjoy my home. I think in my case an in-home visit would be best. Any hopes in this happening?
