Of all the cars I've owned in my life, my favorite of all was my Suzuki Swift Sport. (This models predecessor). I only sold it because we had a child and it was too small. Awesome car and this new one looks even better!
suzuki always does a great job with hot hatches they're the only ones or atleast one of the only left companies that do hot hatches properly like back in the 80s and 90s ... the new one is a great little car you could boost the engine up a bit get 200-250 hp max nothing more and it'll be more fun than a big old mercedes amg or a sports car... suzuki makes great reliable engines like toyota so you'll have no problem with reliability even if you decide to tune it
Max Morris I know it’s a bit late reply, but as long as you take care of your Fiesta with servicing it every year it’ll last ages. My mum had a fiesta from 1998, and only got rid of it a couple years ago because she wanted something new
@lawress hall Thanks. However, I'm not the one who is stating something The person who's expressing a subject should provide an evidence to support his/her claim. Too many reviews on UA-cam where the main focus is on non existent negative aspects, simply because the person doing the review doesnt like the car. When you go to a dealer, the salesman would be out of a job if all he did was tell potential customers the reasons why they shouldnt buy it. Just saying. Would you buy a car if you dont like the style, or colour ? No. As for this car, its superb value for money. Looks and sounds great.
The best review of this car in UA-cam! You convinced me and I bought the car ! After one week I have the car I agree with everything you say in the review ! Great car !!!! Everybody who is considering buying it go and test drive it ! !!! You will be convinced immediately about the capabilities of this car !!
One concern I have are the seats .. with my 195cm and 95kg. I heard they can be uncomfortable. Would love to testdrive it, but unfortunately it's not possible in Hungary.
HKS L Spec exhaust sounds awesome, saves 8kg, HKS induction kit is awesome too, can hear the standard blow off valve through the air filter, trust me these parts work.
Bought 2021 Swift Hybrid for 14 000 Euro - new - full equipment . Best car I ever driven . In this video he said "Drivers car" - That explains what this car is all about. Drivable , efficient , light - just enough space ! (top speed is 175kmh all day every day😍 ) Never went above 5.6L per 100km. City or open road !
Wooo was wondering if you'd ever cover this car. I recently got one and its a blast! Edit after watching: I got mine with Yokohama tires [I believe the same brand you'd get on an EVO] which makes the driving experience so freaking good, those are equipped from factory. Also I believe the weight is around 975 in a vacuum so the weight to power ratio (kg per bhp) is around 7 kilos per bhp; Fuel econ is great as well even when you floor it from time to time. Finally we get 16 inch wheels instead of 17'' where I'm from but no complaint there to be honest. Glad you took the time to review this car! I don't feel the car is so high up from the ground but I do agree lowering it and doing that ECU upgrade would make it even better. I believe the ECU costs around 500 EUR and boosts it up to around ~160 bhp.
Mine weights around 950Kg with a 6 speed manual transmission, the reason we get 16" wheels instead of 17" is because we live in Latin America, some gimmicks were deleted from the version we get here but the price is lower as well.
I was driving to dealer 1h away to test a used one, that I ended up buying. Fun thing I arrived on my YZF 600R told the dealer that this car was almost as fun to drive. He told me he would use it in his marketing...
A spooly snail from factory now?! I'm getting one of these and building on it. You're right, sooooo much potential. Would look very pretty with proper fitment too imo.
This swift sport is available in 1.2 litre in India and when it comes it already becomes the bestseller in sub-hatchback segment ahead of Etios cross and i20. I wonder why Maruti Suzuki acquired the 52 percent of Indian market.
The six speed automatic with manual mode and quick shifting paddles, has the same specifications as the manual, but costs an extra $2000 in Australia. I bought my blue one without a test drive. The red was not available here, as they stuck some decals on red ones and sole them as Swift Sport Red Devil models, at an even higher price. All of the metallic colors cost an extra $500 here. White is not metallic. An odd thing about the automatic, is that when not accelerating, the engine goes into braking mode, slowing the car, and when you tab the brake, it is more pronounced. It helps to save wear on the brake pads. You can select select a manual gear with the paddles, whilst in auto, but the gearbox will return to automatic after 60 seconds. However, you can also select manual mode with the gear selector, and just use the paddles. But if the computer thinks changing up or down would be unsafe due to speed, it will lock you out of a paddle change, and revert to automatic.
Do you the automatic has slot of engine braking when u let of throttle? That's a good thing if u 2wna to save your brake pad especially during downslope.
FWD only, AWD will too heavy and too stiff as a owner, the factory setting is fun. unlike other ff, the tail will slightly slide out when braking, making the front turn in. foot down throttle at apex, the front will pull the car out the corner. the soft and tall suspension let driver shift the mass easily to attack the corner. it may not fast as you wish, but it is more fun as you think.
Lol lol lol, so true! I got my driver´s licence in the US (I´m German) back in ´92 and then had to learn drive stick shift afterwards in a sports car. That was fun.
I own the zc31s Swift Sport and man is it fun! If you want a true driver's car get the first gen. If you want a car that's fun to drive AND more economical/practical get the second gen or this new 3rd gen. (First gen only runs on N98 or higher, is noisy... and cheap plastics everywhere.) I like this new gen. I think it looks cute but angry. There are some crazy dudes from Japan and England (CTC Performance) already tuning & modding these and I think they got to something like 180 HP. Materials are the usual Suzuki "quality" - cheap but functional, seats are typically awesome tho. NA engines are still superior in throttle response and sound imho but turbo is just the way in cars nowadays and Suzuki has to meet the regulations just like everyone. Oh and duplex exhaust.. WITH REAL EXHAUST TIPS! You don't get that even on $$$ BMW or Mercedes! :D
It's a nice little rocket. Older sport Swift's are great too but with less power. But the simple editions of Swift's 2005-2010 and the generations had a lot of problems. Buy a sport with your eyes closed but think it twice if you like the non sport swift. Suzuki also don't have a nice name on costumers retail. A lot of 200-2008 1.3 swifts had problems with abs modules, lot of people crash. But Suzuki whistle...
The K14C engine is far better than many tuning factory think.
