Eric, I'm lovin' the edits. That scene where you walk out of the closet and you're outside simultaneously is an "award winning" cut, and making the price tags look like clouds, phenomenal. You make me want to visit Aspen.
Yeah, it's actually insane really because I don't see the value. There are plenty of locations around the world that are equally as beautiful for a small fraction of the cost compared to Aspen 🤔 Basically, all this is is the elite 1% pushing ordinary people out of locations like Aspen. These days, u can put any crazy value on the property. My house in Sydney Australia only cost $300k to buy the land and build the house in 1996. Today, it's worth $3 million. Wages and salary didn't multiply by a factor of 10x in the same period of time. Wtf? It's insane.
@John-co6mo The "value" is in the network effect. If you make a half a stick a year you spend more because this is where your coworkers and bosses go. Competition recursion to the point it is now. The core is that it is very nice but the network effect is what makes it go crazy.
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about $246k,but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million
After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom..
I live in Banff Alberta and in the past 10 years, the rent has gone from around $1500 per month for a 2 bedroom condo to around $2500-3000. It’s almost as if renters are colluding and keep on raising the rent of places just because they can…
The luxury homes are beautiful but 600k for a month is a waste of money...With 7.2 millions you can buy a really nice home instead of paying that number each month for someting that isn't yours.
You realize he's calculating monthly rent on a per/night rental rate and extrapolating it over 30 days. He's also using the peak rate. No one rents these for a month, but rather a few days. No one is signing a lease for 60k a month, lol. This entire video is misleading.
@@txDDS Even still, rental rates in Aspen Colorado for long term rentals is still between $5,000 and $7,800 per month for studios and one bedroom apartments, $8,000 to $12,400 per month for an apartment with two or three bedrooms, and if you want a house instead, you're highly unlikely to find one for below $10,000 per month! I've compared long term rentals using Zillow.
Thank you for showing us how the Aspenites live. I loved the house with the small listening room and lots of huge talking rooms. Beautifully presented information.
I can imagine having a big family reunion at that 600k mansion, but living there for a longer period is just too much, not only the high price tag but the space that would most of the time just be empty
Real ones know Leadville is about 30 miles away, equally as beautiful views with 14,000 foot peaks everywhere you look. 5k a month there actually gets you a really nice house, you just have to drive to the ski resort
All of them are SO ridiculously over-priced. It shows how stupid things have become in Aspen and other very specific places in the country. So my Cape Cod rental looks pretty OK after all...
Most people watching this channel can’t afford these places , that’s why they complain , leave that mentality behind and try to accomplish what the 1% already did..😎
The cheapest rent in Aspen is $5k? That's so crazy... Where do all of the workers live? The grocery store clerks, the waiters and waitresses and cooks, the resort and hotel staff, police and medical professionals, do they all make enough to afford that? Or do they all travel from somewhere else to work every day?
Who has the money to pay for all this shit? In Australia, I paid about 1.4m for my home, paid it off in about 4 years by having a hefty deposit from the sale of my previous paid off home and could not fathom paying even $5k per month for that stinking little shoebox of a joint at the beginning of the video and I am on about $300k per year salary. The world is utterly mental!
I could never imagine valuing skiing so much that you would pay these prices just for a ski town. I’ve never really understood why some people care so much for skiing. I’ve snowboarded a bit, but it’s never as much fun as people act like it is. Also, I don’t care too much for winter or snow. For a fraction of the price of most of these places, I’d rather go to like the Maldives and do fun water sports or on safari in Africa. Or even do an entire luxury eurotrip for a fraction of the price. Aspen feels pretty whack compared to all of that.
*5000 for 300 sqft in Aspen. The Californians and left-leaning hipsters have left their mark on this place. How does rent cost more there, a county of 16k, than Marion County Fl, 396K, full of springs and water so fresh and clear you can see 35ft below the surface? Crystal River, Rainbow River, Devil's Den for cave diving, Paradise, Juniper, Alexander, Ginnet, Springs, More horse farms than Lexington (not Thorougbred farms)?
Even NEW YORK CITY is less expensive than Aspen! For starters, the average garden-variety house in Aspen is $6,000,000! And that's for a house that in most places would be no more than $500,000 l. The cheapest home I've seen in Aspen is a studio co-op, yes, a CO-OP, NOT EVEN A CONDO that doesn't even have a separate bedroom, and ONLY 296SQFT FOR $549,000! And the average rent is $5,500 to $9,000 PER MONTH for a studio or one bedroom apartment! Ridiculous are the prices in Aspen!
Well for 45k per night that's just a drop in the bucket for billionaires but the average man can't afford that it makes me wonder how many nights is it leased for at that price for a year
The final house is not worth it. Not even close actually. 1. It's not ski in-ski out. And skiing is the main reason for going to Aspen. 2. None of the rooms have great views. Especially compared with a lot of the other mansions you've shown in Aspen. With that being said, if my friend hit me up to crash there, I would be there instantly.
Seeing these prices really lets me hope that american stay in america... In Switzerland/Austria the scond apartment would probably set you back 3000/month in a good spot and 5k in an excellent spot. BUT then you have a flat directly dowtown, modernized, right next to the lift. Really hope our governments protect us from this flood
Some of these places should have a morphine drip after you get done skiing I like the $35,000 a month one but I’d probably take the $5000 a month because you’re gonna spend all day on the mountain what’s the point of spending it $45,000 night
The interior design of the most expensive hotel is disgustingly hideous. Paying that price for bedrooms that look like someone splattered some contemporary art over basement room cement walls... bleh

people are starving in the world and then there is a 600k a month house followed by a 1.350.000 per month
The $80K one was ideal, looks nice and more worth it. 💯
80K per month for that crap box is a scam lol.
Unremarkable in every sense you can think of and apparently listed for nearly 10M (according to Erik).

Those prices are wild… that bubble has to pop soon.

Definitely prefer the $600,000 option, even if I had the money for more.
The transition from 300k to 600k is fantastic.
I think 300000 dollars will be enough for me for the rest of my life including traveling at least once a year and without working any more😂
