Hello, I have done even worst roads with my NC750X DCT with the same tires- pilot road 4. I have problems with the clearance. When i pass a small river, I hit the exhaust pipe and dent it a little. The best thing here is the DCT, it is so well design that I have no problems to pass hills and slippery roads, because the clutches do all the job for me. I really like to explore back roads, but I need bottom engine guard protection to feel more confident. Twice I have to push the bike to free it from mud, and once the bike just slide side way from the road because of its weight. The truth is that it is capable to do little off road, but it is really heavy. And I realize this when I have to push it. I always ride alone and for good roads it is great, But if you go off road with this bike- don't go alone . Good video, I like it :)
Yeah I suppose it has its flaws and the weight may be an issue but the africa twin is too. The low down weight makes it a little easier to handle but not push. I wouldn't like to push it. Thanks for comment and watching the vlog very much appreciated 👍 Stay safe.
First of your vlogs I have seen. Enjoyed this! It's encouraging to me. Started riding in '70 on a Honda 50. Mom rode it through our wooded yard while I was at the piano practicing. This NC 750 appears to do everything an old guy as myself would want to do with it while being so extremely practical in so many ways. It's been 5 years since I last rode a motorcycle. Time to make it happen again.
Thankyou buddy glad you enjoyed it. The NC750x with the dct is an amazing bike and relatevly affordable. You have to make it happen riding a bike is amazing. I started from scratch in my 40s and never looked back. Take care 👍🏻👍🏻
It's a bit like the weather - no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes. So... There's no such thing as a bad road, just the wrong tyres! ;-) Would love to have those roads on out doorstep. Nice video!
A quick question for you - I notice you using a hero 4 on the helmet. Is this primarily for audio capture? If so, how do you connect mic etc. - what do you use? :-)
Yes I use the 4 as the 7 has to have the audio adapter and its too much on the helmet. The 4 has a mic that plugs straight into without the adapter. I had to get the housing too which has a cutout to allow it to plug in. Hope this helps
I’ve just ordered a rode wireless go mic going to connect that to the 7 on the dashboard view of me and also ordered a GoPro 9 for the helmet as I can’t do with the wires hanging from the helmet.
Awesome, love when you can hear the excitement and nervousness in a video. Looked like fun, I had the same tyres on my Vstrom when I first got it, not bad on the gravel but you don't want to ride in any mud. Stay safe, Ian
It was fun pal and nerve racking. I did that same route on my Africa twin and came off that’s one of the reasons I sold that bike. I am surrounded by them sort of roads so will be looking for a little enduro to have some fun on them in the near future. Thanks for comment stay safe, jay 👍
That was thoroughly enjoyable happy I saw this "my little ticker is going like the cloppers!" Well, I hope you don't mind if I start using that fantastic saying here on the West Coast of Florida in United States just brilliant thank you for sharing subscribed...
Ironically i was having issues commenting. Just seen this pop through and able to respond. Typical just posted a vid to explain. Did you comment earlier your name looks familiar? I couldn't respond to that one. Thanks for comment and support very much appreciated. Please subscribe if you are not and able to 👍👍
Hi the small screen for me was a lot better but will be noisy on faster runs. It’s the puig one I opted for. On your local commutes etc or around town I found it ok. Thanks for your comments much appreciated, stay safe 👍

Nice one. I'm sure it can off-road with some 50/50 tyres and upgrade the springs 👍👍👍
Cheers for comment. I think my next set of tyres will be 50/50 and will look into the springs. Loved it though as you can tell deffo way forward. 👍

I see you are running a small screen. The standard ond is rubbish so I have taken it off and now runs much quieter. What is the small screen like?
