Some ideas: When an item is sent. change the icon into an envelope and the name of the item into "Sent from 'Username'". Right click in hand to open the letter and receive the original item.
Add the ability to send multiple items at once, if they are packed in a box [perhaps sending a shulker box in the mail?]

Should also have it output a redstone signal if anything is in your mailbox so people can setup systems that will go off when they get mail.

The wool couches are there! There's a bug where you can't get them in the creative menu but you can get them by crafting in creative. You can see the recipe in JEI

I do however have a suggestion/request: Could you add a privacy/security setting to the mailbox which when enabled makes it so only the owner can use/break it and maybe even disable the ability for hoppers to pull things out?
And a question: Does the mail system support nbt data, allowing players to send shulkerboxes with stuff in them etc.?

Such an incredible mod. One problem I find with them is how expensive a post box is to make. No regular survival player would be able to use them until after end game because of the shulker. Just something to consider.

Could you do a tutorial on making custom assets/models for your gun mod? I noticed you were gonna show off some community stuff on the actual modpage for it but a tutorial on making them too would be cool!
A cool addition would be that, if a mailbox has an item in it, it would output a redstone signal in all directions from the base. That would allow people to set up alert systems to let them know if they have mail!
You are so talented! You should make something like Amazon on Gitweb where you can buy stuff online and have it end up in your mailbox! It could be a pretty cool idea. Good Luck!

With the mailbox, I do see one problem with people spamming it. Plus, what happens when the inventory is full? These are just suggestions, as it it is amazing!

I’d like to suggest some ways you could potentially expand this: a) have a limit as to how much you could send so for example be able to craft an “empty parcel “ which you right click and put something in, then you can send that parcel... also, make it cost some XP or something to send something???. I know I’d never be able to do it, as I’m rubbish with Java, but I’d love to see what you could do! Not the best ideas but something I would personally like to see introduced. But this is really really cool...
It would be a nice implementation to have mail as written letters and items are packages. When you put an item in the GUI, it is sent as a package which you can right click in your hand to open, same with a letter/mail.

You should add a apartment/bulk mail box, those big metal boxes that have a bunch of tiny doors on them, where when you click on it, it opens up a GUI where you can click your specific box(maybe with a key), and that is how you get you mail.
Dude, every update is the best update. You care about your mods and it is reflected in the quality of the mod and that makes it great
Also, is there any way to automate the mailbox system, like some sort of wireless storage system? I think it would be amazing if you could send items from hoppers to the last mailbox selected with a redstone signal.
BTW are the mail and postboxes compatible with hoppers? I hope so.
You should be able to set a mailbox to "private" or not so only the player who placed it could send mail to it. That would help for the furnace example so people don't send random stuff to mess up your machines.

i think it would be fun to have a little gremlin mailman that you can find running around delivering mail. Maybe he's passive n really fast but you can attack him and stop mail from being delivered
Loved your mod, i downloaded it with other mods and didn't pay attention to it in the beginning because well "just a cool furniture mod"(where you can actually sit on chairs) after some time i reviewed the content on my minecraft gameplay and noticed the mailbox part....MrCrayfish... you have my most sincerely respects.

Maybe you can add a postman villager type, their job being to deliver letters to all the mailboxes around the village. They could probably spawn near a mailbox once you hit send on the postbox
I was thinking maybe on adding travel time to the mail, you would need to calculate the distance between the mailbox and the postbox coordinates, divide the distance with a set travel speed for the mail, and maybe add 1min or so if the mail has to change dimension, maybe you could make the dimension penalty and travel speed configurable on the mod's config, and maybe even let an option to completly disable the travel time feature
This would actually be super cool in a large world. Me and a few friends always live miles away and this would be cool when it comes to supply routes

Items on minebay "whenever you reimplement the PC" should be shipped to your mail box within like 1 day or so. Also, I feel the post box while mining is a lil op so maybe sending mail should also have a certain amount of time depending on how far away the Destination from the post box is, and if the post box is mined up, it drops the items if that time limit hasn't reached

He has already said he will not be adding the new items to 1.12 and before due to much of the functionality being dependent on updates from 1.1.3 and 1.14.

u could add a "message" to the receptor player that he got a new mail, if he is online, if he is offline, he can get that message when he gets online, but in this case it can be like 1min after he get online, because when u get online udont see the chat right away or, that message could be anywhere else on the screen like a little envelope icon on the hud, so the player knows he got a new mai and somehow also it say wich mailbox has the new mail, also u could "force" ppl use envelop/package like older version so player who receve the mail knows who sended it because he "signed it"

Maybe you should make a GUI that has a spot for you to type in the name of the sender, the recipient, and a little message if you want. That way you know who the mail is coming from. Also idk if you still have the packages/envelopes still implemented, but if you required the post box to only accept those two items it would make a lot of sense, i mean you can't just send unwrapped cookies in the mail lol. Also is there a locking feature on your mail boxes? If not you should make it so that only you/anyone you have granted access to look in your mail box
you could also use the mailboxes as bird houses although it won't work
please dont stop updating the 1.12.2 too, there is so many other cool mods just for 1.12.2 and not 1.14

Why I like crays furniture mod better than all the other ones
1: It sticks mostly to the vanilla feel
2: It ads a highly requested and needed thing to Minecraft without completely overhauling it

You should add a system where if you have the Devices mod installed, you can use the Laptop, to look up an online Market, and through that market you can get items brought right to your mailbox.

I really like this, but imo it’s way overpowered for the resources it costs. Considering it rivals ender chests and shulker boxes in usefulness, maybe the crafting recipes for the mailboxes should include 1 shulker shell?
Other than for automatically smelting things, I don't really see the usefulness of the postbox sending items trick, since if you are able to get a shulker box, you probably already have an ender chest that you can take with you. I do see some potential for really awesome "digital" sorting systems, though. Also an idea for a future update, maybe make the color of the postbox customizeable, so it matches the shulker box used to craft it? I get that most postboxes irl are blue, but they don't necessarily have to be blue.

For the Mr Crayfish 1.7.10 furniture mod can you add some more furniture and like other accessories like a mailman who delivers mail
In real life you have to pay for stamps to send mail so maybe to make it more realistic it could be considered putting a price to send items even if it’s simply a diamond. Considering that it costs a shulker box to make i feel like it would make sense to assume the player had diamonds at that point
@MrCrayfish you should build a post office on your world as well in the expanding your town please bring it back
only issue i have with this, is getting the shulker boxes. wish it was iron around lapis block. or lapis around an iron block. would make it more mid game friendly
