This movie is great. The sound track is brilliant. The music carried this movie , absolutely one of my favourite movies ever. And: Nihon wa daisuki desu!
All these years later, still so beautiful. The fields, the road, the lampposts, the fields in the distance... all to a lovely soundtrack. Where in England was this filmed?
This song is ”River was filled with stories / Life is (水の線路/生命は)” composed by World’s End Girlfriend, and was originally released in 2007. It was added a poetry reading and used for the soundtrack of the movie ”Air Doll (2009)” directed by Hirokazu Koreeda. The poem was written by a Japanese poet Hiroshi Yoshino in 1977, and recited by Bae Doona who starred in the movie.
I loved the movie and this ending soundtracj, I just donwloaded the music, because it's so beautiful. The end of the film is sad. Recommend to everyone.
@immortalhen Its called 'river was filled with stories'. This song is in the album called 'Hurtbreak Wonderland'. However the song here is bit different version. The original song which is in the album above doesnt have naration. Actually the song i uploaded is from the soundtrack of film called Air Doll.
Or at times, allowed to find the Other's presence disagreeable. Why is it, that the world is constructed so loosely? A horse fly, bathed in lights flies in close to a blooming flower. I, too, might have been someone's horse fly. Perhaps you, too, had once been my breeze. Life is / Hiroshi YOSHINO
It seems life is constructed in a way that no one can fulfill it alone. Just as it's not enough for flowers to have pistils and stamens An insect or a breeze must introduce a pistil to a stamen Life contains its own absence, which only an Other can fulfill. It seems the world is the summation of Others And yet, We neither know nor are told that we will filfull each other We lead our scattered lives, perfectly unaware of each other...
心がすくわれるようでとてもすきな曲。
曲もさることながら吉野宏さんの詩も素晴らしいので英語字幕をつけて欲しい。

あの少女は、最後まで世界は美しいと信じて、死にました。

im listening on my grado phones how come theres noise on the music
Or at times,
allowed to find the Other's presence disagreeable.
Why is it,
that the world is constructed so loosely?
A horse fly,
bathed in lights flies
in close to a blooming flower.
I, too,
might have been someone's horse fly.
Perhaps you, too,
had once been my breeze.
Life is / Hiroshi YOSHINO
the name of the song?
It seems life
is constructed in a way
that no one can fulfill it alone.
Just as
it's not enough for flowers
to have pistils and stamens
An insect or a breeze
must introduce a pistil to a stamen
Life contains its own absence,
which only an Other can fulfill.
It seems the world
is the summation of Others
And yet,
We neither know nor are told
that we will filfull each other
We lead our scattered lives,
perfectly unaware of each other...
