martyjanderson My monster rack is a 6-post, the 4 outer posts being 90” and the 2 inner posts 100” (a cross-member spans the gap). I don’t mind the tall height of the monster mass storage rack because I have a step stool that I use whenever I need a light dumbbell from up top. I’m only 5’8” so I have limitations.
martyjanderson When I ordered my monster mass storage, I ordered an extra shelf, so now I have 5. The unit holds dumbbells from 2.5 to 75#, kettlebell pairs from 6kg to 48kg, and 570kg of bumper plates, not to mention the weights on the side. It’s great. But dint attempt to assemble it alone. I nearly decapitated myself lifting those shelves.
Coop! I think it would be awesome if you reached out to Jujimufu and helped with the creating of his new barn gym! Get that man on the horse stall mat lifestyle!
Regarding the far right side (dumbbells storage)- So Titan sells a “74" 3-Tier Mass Storage System”, which has 3 shelves. Did you add another shelf to make 4 or am I looking at a different unit?
The spinning handle dumbbells from eleiko are copies of the Watson dumbbells. Watson makes the very best dumbbells in the world, and the price for them reflects that.
Hey Coop.....regarding the dumbbell tray...I recently purchased two of them. Instructions weren’t very clear. 1. Are the trays to sit on top of the standard “ball rack” shelf? 2. What hardware is suppose to be included with the dumbbell tray? I only got a set of small bolts with each tray with my order. Thanks for the time
@@Taylormeyer did you end up falling in love with the rotating shelves? I’m considering stacking DB’s on them flat instead of angled… (have a lot of DB’s to store) and these are the only flat shelves wide enough that will hold DB’s and allow for two rows of large KB’s.
Do you have a hard time getting the 75+ lb dumbbells out of the rack, especially with your shelves being so close together? I had to space mine out significantly in order pull them out without having to do an isometric curl to get them out. IMO this is a major flaw with the vertical design of this rack system. Most DB racks have offset shelves.
I think the same way ot to nick the nice painted barbells into the rack or dropping a kettlebells, then I stand up from a heavy clean or snatch and I just want to slam that bar down.
Hey Coop, do those adjustable shelves require the parallel bar crossmembers as well or do they just bolt directly onto the uprights without additional support? The dumbbell specific shelves need the crossmember and I'm trying to find out before upgrading to a 3 tier system, Titan support never replied to my email :/ thanks in advance
Hey Coop, I noticed that Terra Core Balance Trainer on that rack. What's your opinion of that piece of equipment compared to the Bosu Balance Trainer? I like that rack. It would definitely help me organize my equipment.

Kevin, Titan has several 70" long shelves on their website. One is the 70" Rotating Shelf for Mass Storage System at $149.95 (solid, for the dumbbells like Coop had) the other is the 70" Mass Storage System Shelf for $69.95 (basically the two rods with open space between them, for the slam balls, etc)
I didn't see the tall uprights without buying the 42 inch wide rails... so to go that high, I had to buy rails that werent long enough for what I needed. Am I missing something?

But it is still a great system as I am able to change it to how I wanted to set stuff up to get to fit. Maybe I will do a quick video of the changes of it soon. Still need to finish putting together my new home gym but it is getting closer. Question, the flat shelf you put the kettlebells on, is that Titan's adjustable dumbbell shelf just set to flat?

I obviously get why you're doing this channel. That most of your gear you didn't pay for. (THUNBS UP!!). But, the culture...I think it's ironic most of the guys that have garage gyms are putting them in their garages because they don't have the extra room INSIDE. :) It's so much cheaper to join an actual gym. Most gyms should have more equipment. Some even have coaches (for a fee). Serious powerlilfters/bodybuilders workout in a gym. :) Most guys with garage gyms don't live in 5 million dollar homes in elite neighbourhoods like Beverly Hills...to afford $50k+ of gear...heh...to each his own... The idea of a "garage gym" makes no sense to me. I think you have the best gym gear UA-cam/website....easily. Keep up the great work!!
Obviously you've never been in a commercial gym. Most are stocked with garbage equipment. Unless you are lucky to have a lifting focused gym near you. And most "trainers" can barely show how to use a machine let alone barbell movements. My gym all in is around $3000. Rogue RM4 Fortis Rack, Rep FB 5000, Rogue Ohio Bar and Ohio Power Bar bench, bumpers, iron, Titan deadlift jack and 2 diy platforms. Add in the extra $600 to insulate and sheet the walls and a heating solution and it's better than just about any commercial or globo gym.
I have come to realize how valuable my time is. That is the main reason I built my own gym. It does not make sense for me to piss away my time driving to and from a location where I may or may not be able to use the equipment for a particular work out I have planned. When I did attend commercial gyms, I would always have to have multiple exercises lined up in the event I could not access the equipment I needed, but that is not an option when I am trying to fine tune a workout for specific results. Also, I am a pretty social person but at the gym, some people treat it like a social club and it can difficult to keep up a good rhythm. I'm running a Rogue ML 490, Ohio bar, Titan hefty bench, iron plates, and bands. Just under $2000.
The idea doesn't make any sense to you becuase you don't have the money and it's hard to comprehend spending thousands that you don't have. Plenty of people can spend money on their hobbies...most of the better home gyms aren't close to 50k though 50k esp over several years isn't outrageous.
@@Pler1978 you missed my point by a mile. What I don't understand it's why people are surveying money in garage guns 6 when clearly they usually live in homes where they can't afford a dedicated room!!🤪
