Good question! there are many cheap boats out there that would just pop... but there are a few company's that are so well made they are rather hook resistant such as the Hydrus from inflatable boat fishing or the boat I currently have. just stay away from cheapens and your do just fine... and advise caution all the time just in case

My boat and the Hydrus also have multiple air chambers so if you pop one the boat wont sink :)

Funny enough I've spoken to him about HR ago and he recommended 4 meter boat for 5 max fishing and engine 15 hp or something like that
