@Brandon Whelan I was just saying this to my friend. This album, in my opinion, is probably my 2nd favorite album by them behind Homesick. But it didn't seem to get any love the way I thought it would
This is one of best mixed albums ever. Everything sounds extremely heavy and punch-y but still organic and kinda "imperfect" (in a good way) which makes it more human.
With every album, these guys get better. They've been my number 1 since about '04. Their poppy songs may get a little poppier but their heavy songs get more intense. I don't mindlessly follow bands, I'm here for the music and these guys just keep growing in every musical aspect. They put everything they have into this and it shows. I think my favorite thing is that you cannot just throw them into a genre, their genre IS ADTR.
"They'll trade you a voice for an illusion of choice" "No war, no peace" bourgeoisie: "Get back in line you've all been warned" The workers: "We was beat when we was born" +A Day To Remember, great album. Please do not be afraid to write more lyrics like this. I know you guys don't want to alienate some fans, so you're careful. But sometimes you have to say fuck it. Speak your mind, don't hold back.
Don't believe for a minute these lines refer to western countries - call yourselves princesses if you do think that - this sort of line SHOULD be a call to the poor bastards in North Korea etc who don't have a computer and headphones and keyboards to share their enslavement aloud!
manofGM This should refer to all countries... especially the world powers. Say what you want, but North Korea isn't the only country calling itself "democratic", then deliberately underming it and manipulating its citizens. And "no war, no peace". C'mon. If you stand up to ANY government and ANY powerful corporation, they'll almost definitely resort to violence and shut you down. The only thing centralized power understands is citizens arming themselves and fighting back. And the last line is pretty clear if you aren't in the Fox News bubble. Social Mobility in America has continued to decrease since the 70s and 80s. Scandinavian countries, and even Canada, has better social mobility than America. But of course, there's many countries worse than America on this.
First World Complaints. Ive worked every day of my life in white and blue collar in Australia and overtime is strong here. Dwelling on personal misfortune of someone who hasn't a work ethic means too much time on your hands.....in a nutshell bamm!
Brother I can't stop goddam listing to this song!!!!! I've been blasting in my ears everyday after work for the past like 3 months and it still hasn't gotten old LIKE A GAW DAMMM PREMONITIONNN DANANANUNUN THAT FUCKING GUITAR RIFF IS AN EARGASM
i feel like this is one of the heaviest songs they've ever done, but i absolutely love it. I know they've written some heavy stuff, but just the tone of the entire song was so brutal and heavy. I got way more than expected with this entire album!
This song is one of my favorites on this album, because of the lyrics, and what this song stands for. I feel like not enough people are speaking out to what is really going on.
"Like a shark that's combing the surface, we got a taste for blood" ..."Don't believe what the pacifist tells you, no war, no peace".......Calmly resume headbanging
I must say that this album is one of the best this year along with "This could be heartbreak" and "All our gods have abandoned us" they all kept to their sound but sound so different! anyone see where I'm coming from?
Dancing songs from: Heartless (And Their Name Was Treason) Mr. Highway's Thinking About The End (Homesick) Sticks & Bricks (What Separates Me From You) Life Lessons To Learned The Hard Way (Common Courtesy) And this ❤
This was the first new song I listened to on the album, besides the singles. The entire song is great, then things got very ADTR very fast towards the end. Another album released, STILL not ONE song I don't like from the entire discography. Keep it up boys, you never disappoint.
Good heavens I was playing this song loud in my car... and when that mid-point pause in the breakdown came back in (at 3:08) it almost blew my windows out! Nasty breakdown!
@Jakob Andrew Cervantes I'm late to this but yea Neil said on a live stream Cody has been helping write with them for a while now. He wrote some stuff on Common Courtesy (Sometime's You're the Hammer, Sometime's You're the Nail).
I saw Wage War back in December and the lead guitarist, Seth, told me that the rhythm guitarist, Cody, actually helped write this song along with Justified and maybe a couple of others!
This guitar tone needs a hug
Hahahahahahaha
Why is this not top comment?
I know right?
Needs some fucking gain lmfaoooooo
fred boi ! Need a FUCKING bass
Why do I feel like this album didn’t get the praise it deserves..
agreed
Heaviest album by them to date
King Duke you could argue their older albums are just as heavy, but for the most part I agree.
@@Brandon24whelan right but it's just like, after the last few previous albums, this gives you that, oh yeah this is the ADTR I've been missing!! Lol.
@Brandon Whelan I was just saying this to my friend. This album, in my opinion, is probably my 2nd favorite album by them behind Homesick. But it didn't seem to get any love the way I thought it would
This album is why I am awake in the middle of the night

A Day To Remember seeing you in Birmingham on the 25th I think that's the date anyway ... gonna be sick
Si
if you don't headbang to that breakdown, you're not a human
Its too weak to headbang to.
+Kei Synester Are you sure about that?
+Sif The Great Grey Wolf sorry i forgot to add "for me", in my taste this is a weak breakdown but its still good.
+Kei Synester alright.
If you don't headbang to this whole song you are not human.
That Breakdown!!! 👌😲
think they'll call a wall of death at a show with this song?
+Gabriel “Runaway” Ramirez They damn better, I will obliterate some fools.
best break down in the world, lol love it
This is one of best mixed albums ever.
Everything sounds extremely heavy and punch-y but still organic and kinda "imperfect" (in a good way) which makes it more human.
I agree. Sounds so good.
Agreed
Lol no it's bad even for 2016
I think that breakdown gave me an actual heart attack
it legit gave me goosebumps
no joke lol
+Lord Metal Ahahaha, YES
+Lord Metal That part is pretty nuts, I love that part too. I cracked up when I heard "glistening genitals".
+Lord Metal Oh my god, yeah XD

The build up @ 02:50 then a monsterous breakdown soon after. I'm still looking for my head, the headbang was too real...
yep same
Efficiency X the buildup is at 2:30
"They'll trade you a voice for an illusion of choice"
"No war, no peace"
bourgeoisie: "Get back in line you've all been warned"
The workers: "We was beat when we was born"
+A Day To Remember, great album. Please do not be afraid to write more lyrics like this. I know you guys don't want to alienate some fans, so you're careful. But sometimes you have to say fuck it. Speak your mind, don't hold back.
I just researched the "We was beat when we was born" after listening. Fucking awesome.
+Brock Schowalter What does it even mean
Don't believe for a minute these lines refer to western countries - call yourselves princesses if you do think that - this sort of line SHOULD be a call to the poor bastards in North Korea etc who don't have a computer and headphones and keyboards to share their enslavement aloud!

Ripped a hole through the universe with the growl and blew it all out with the breakdown
That breakdown "-000-(000) -000- (000)" is just so awesome !
The lyrics to this song are actually pretty deep.
that breakdown give me goosebumps
I have to wake up in 6 hours to go to class, but ADTR is life.
it's so worth it tho!!
Me too! But they're my favorite band and I was way too pumped for this album, so screw sleep.
how old are you?
I'm 21 fam, living that college life
Why do I can relate? *listens since hours to music, even thought it's 2am and have to get up in 5 hours*
Favorite off the new album
i feel like this is one of the heaviest songs they've ever done, but i absolutely love it. I know they've written some heavy stuff, but just the tone of the entire song was so brutal and heavy. I got way more than expected with this entire album!
This is my most fav track of adtr chorus is so magnetic. Anyone still listening
jeremy sounds pissed off towards the end I FUCKING LOVE IT
This reminds me of Life Lessons Learned The Hard Way in the anger of the song. I fucking love it
By far my favorite ADTR album def underrated
Damn Jeremy, where'd them lows come from?!
And where did they go?
Wormholes connecting me through the ages
God dammit lol
People either love it or hate it. I love it.
This song is one of my favorites on this album, because of the lyrics, and what this song stands for. I feel like not enough people are speaking out to what is really going on.
this album is all over the place!
Amazing. This band never dissapoints
8 years already and this is still a banger! 🤘🔥
"Like a shark that's combing the surface, we got a taste for blood" ..."Don't believe what the pacifist tells you, no war, no peace".......Calmly resume headbanging
I want a music video for this.
I must say that this album is one of the best this year along with "This could be heartbreak" and "All our gods have abandoned us" they all kept to their sound but sound so different! anyone see where I'm coming from?
vannas all hell is very good
+joe sabato Vannas all hell? I'm not aware if what that is
the new album vanna put out this year was probably album of the year still. its titled all hell
+joe sabato I'll be sure to check it out, I'm really pissed that Whitechapel's new album isn't on UA-cam
Not worth the time. Their last two albums have sucked
Adtr has fucking left the building
fr 😂😂
this song is the balls of the album. I love the intro. you just know right away its gonna be good.
That last breakdown always gives me chills. Even though I know it's coming. It's so good.
Austin dickey needs to do a cover of this
Oh my gosh I fucking agree
Fuck yeah !!
YESS
Dancing songs from:
Heartless (And Their Name Was Treason)
Mr. Highway's Thinking About The End (Homesick)
Sticks & Bricks (What Separates Me From You)
Life Lessons To Learned The Hard Way (Common Courtesy)
And this ❤
One of your top Breakdowns. Up there with Mr Highway. Hope to see this live one day.
Favorite track on the record. It's the only song I've listened to today. Absolutely crushes.
The whole song is making me headbang god i love this song so much
Best song on the album
I love this. Hands down
That deathcore break down at the end was 🔥🔥🔥
WAS THAT KEVIN FUCKING SCREAMING IN THERE?! I SWEAR I HEARD IT
where though?
+Jessica Lefever close to 2 minutes im pretty sure, after jeremy gets dine screaming there is a really tiny kevin scream
i think that's Neil screaming, really sounds like the screams he does in downfall of us all live performances
Kevin skaff is horrible at Screaming. It should only be Jeremy and Neil
It absolutely is. 😂😂 effin great
Lyrically on top of their game, great album
Umm guys... Just to clarify.. What part of the song is a breakdown? Cuz to me the whole song is fucking amazing.
that breakdown is brutal
I read the title of the song and right away i knew this would be one heavy kickass song!
great song from the best band ever keep it up guys great job!!!
This song gave me so many chills, easily my favourite non-single
love this song, its amazing when a song gives you chills
Literally ADTR's heaviest song. This last breakdown shook my entire house bro 3:06
Life Lessons Learned The Hard Way is by far their heaviest song, this song is definitely in the top 10 but it's not the single heaviest song from them
I wonder what it's called when that like explosion sound hits. Is it like a bass boost?
this song completely exceeded expectations holy shit heaviest song they've ever made and i LOVE IT
This was the first new song I listened to on the album, besides the singles. The entire song is great, then things got very ADTR very fast towards the end.
Another album released, STILL not ONE song I don't like from the entire discography. Keep it up boys, you never disappoint.
DID THAT BREAKDOWN JUST HAPPEN?! IS THIS REAL LIFE?! WHERE'S MY PRE-ORDER?!!
For some reason I wasn't ever told they were making a new album but I'm kind of happy I didn't so I didn't have to wait for it😂
I waited for over over a year...
Love that feeling!
Hands down... this is my favorite ADTR song.
Best song off album.
Good heavens I was playing this song loud in my car... and when that mid-point pause in the breakdown came back in (at 3:08) it almost blew my windows out! Nasty breakdown!
One of the sickest breakdowns I've heard in a long time.
it'd be cool to hear this song live.
Favorite track on the album by far!
Easily the heaviest ADTR song to date
The document speaks for itself? Bad vibrations?
Oh yeah and 2nd sucks.
Favorite song from this album
When i think of _heavy_ rock, this is the song that plays in my brain
Love this song, love this band
One of my new favourite live songs!
THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING OH MY GODDDDD
This is right up there with Life Lessons Learned The Hard Way
that breakdown destroyed me and everything I live for
FUCKING 11 AM, and I'm still up from day before, listening to every damn song over and over.
The moment I first heard this song I was BLOWN AWAY!!
this is the heaviest song this band has ever done holy hell
heartless
2nd sucks
+Ryan Thomas easily heavier than both of those songs combined.
life lessons learned the hard way
Damian McEvoy No? This song isn't nearly as heavy.
GOD DAMN I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
THE CRAWL AT 3:07 IS BRUTAL!!! I LOVE IT😍
This has Fit For A King written all over it...nice job ADTR.
what
nevermind, i can hear it in the chorus especially
Nice Picture! Amity FTW
I hear more Wage War in this song than FFAK. Both those bands are fucking brutal. They should do a tour with ADTR in the future.
+MTMskate1 the pre-chorus and chorus riffs sound like the lioness by FFAK
best track on the album
A Day to Wage War
Olek ACF A DAY TO REMEMBER
well Jeremy is their producer so i guess that's where the inspiration comes from.
Dude fr I thought the same shit
I think Cody actually helped write this one. He did for a few others on Bad Vibes.
@Jakob Andrew Cervantes I'm late to this but yea Neil said on a live stream Cody has been helping write with them for a while now. He wrote some stuff on Common Courtesy (Sometime's You're the Hammer, Sometime's You're the Nail).
amazing album
3:08 Fuck!! didn't expecting that.
Shit this does sound like Wage War with that ADTR touch.
Jeremy McKinnon did help produce Wage War's album
I saw Wage War back in December and the lead guitarist, Seth, told me that the rhythm guitarist, Cody, actually helped write this song along with Justified and maybe a couple of others!
Bullshit. Check out 'I am the Witness.' They released this intro back in 2015.
open.spotify.com/track/0oh9a5RsZJq8dGxbBoq79p
This is amazing and beyond my expectations. Keep it up. I love you guys.
I'm addicted to this song. I have been listening to it a few times a week for the last couple years. *Please help!*
Can't imagine how insane this will be live
GET BACK IN LINE YOU'VE ALL BEEN WARNED!
WE WAS BEAT WHEN WE WAS BORN!
If I could 'like' this a million times, I would.
If there isn't a circle pit during this song at a show I will organize riots.
Beginning sounds so much like Stingray Affliction by Issues
RIGHT
I WAS LIKE WTF
if you guys think it sounds like Stringray you need to check out Sands of Time by Counting Days
Sounds even more like wormholes by Volumes, like almost to a t.
it doesn't
No War, No Peace ❤️
the best fuking best breakdown ever created, i have listened to a lot of breakdows
this is the best song they've ever written! Awesome lyrics, instrumentals; just a perfect song! And it's fun to play on guitar :D
this sing hit me like a goddamn premonition. hell yah adtr.
2:44 sounds very much like After the Burial, and it's awesome!
ASCA League
technical influences>>>
They never dissapoint
I destroyed my living room, thanks for that guys.
that intro and breakdown.. Delicious
The instrumental tho. damn. I have this song engraved in my head🤘🏼
I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this side of adtr
probably my favorite song on the new album
I love this song because it gets so heavy at the end
