3 days solo winter camping in deep snow

I spent a few nights out doing some solo wild camping. The trails were covered in down trees and deep snow which was tough getting through. I cleaned up a nice camping spot that I plan to visit in the future. The weather was great with temperatures averaging 25' F.

Can't you use the green wood to block the wind on the sides of your tarp?
