I wish I had watched this video in 1982 (😁), which is when I spray painted a lot of military vehicles with a paint called Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC). Back then, we did not use any PPE and we painted inside the bays of the motor pool, which had no mechanical ventilation/exhaust system. The pigment of the CARC paint contained lead and Cr(VI) (e.g., molydbate orange). The mixing agents contained hexamethylene and toluene diisocyanates (HDI and TDI, respectively) among other volatile organic compounds. The aerosolized paint got into my nose and all over my skin, eyelashes, eyebrows, hair, and even inside my ears. I would frequently blow my nose into paper napkins and paint with mucus would come out. Some 40 years later, I got diagnosed with Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome, bibasilar actelectasis (collapsed lower lungs), lung nodules, nasal polyps, deviated septum, severe sleep apnea, migraines, GERD, cataracts, and allergic conjunctivitis.
Can be present in all material forms then? This is a heavy metal?
Is hexavalent chromium dangerous in furniture? I can't find any information about this online but I recently purchased a piece of furniture from target and it has a warning about containing hexavalent chromium??
Depending on where you live there can be different guidelines, here is a link on what California has to say on the topic

@@JJSafetyLLCCalifornia . That's the place where it's advised kittens be drenched and isolated from people for health reasons, right?
it's probably in the painting/staining. i just wouldn't sand it lol
@@jackrichards1863 hex chrome is no joke. tons of people get cancer from aircraft painting.
