Reminds me of how grateful I am to have been part of the Boy's Brigade (237th Knightswood, Glasgow!) many years ago. The BB contributed significantly to my grounding in the faith and I hope each of those young lads will look back in their later years to conclude the same. May each of you remain sure and steadfast in the Lord!
I was in the Girls Brigade. The Boys and Girls Brigade in our Church were enrolled together. The Boys sang "We have an Anchor" and the Girls sang "Oh Jesus we have promised". Those boys are brilliant.
Absolutely beautiful. To see the wee boy front stage right progressing from too shy to open his mouth, to giving it laldy was something else. In a stellar team performance he gets my man of the match.
Ex member of the 14th West kent. 1965-74. this hymn has been the bases of my life. and when things get tough the Lord Jesus reminds me of this song. These boys are in one of the greatest organisation in the world . it was the foundation that god used, in bringing me to know him as a personal saviour and lord. i know the same will be for the young men. God bless God bless the officers and staff as you continue to serve the our Lord jesus in this fine organisation and be sure and stedfast and may your anchor hold stedfast to that heavenly shore
Incredibly moving. Oh for sure, they are not Vienna Boys Choir, but then they don't pretend to be. By the third chorus, I became aware of one boy's voice standing out over all the others. He was really giving it some welly. And pretty soon I identified the boy concerned. Amazingly, he was the baby of the group, front row, far left of the screen. Boys Brigade tiny tots (5 to 8 yrs) are called Anchors, and they wear red sweatshirts, graduating to a blue, when they become Juniors (8 to 11 yrs). This little kid puts his heart and soul into it, and he brought a lump to my throat. He is too young to have the nervousness that some of his older colleagues are successfully fighting. Now 8 years later he will be about 14, and maybe he is a bit reserved now, bordering on the gauche. But I hope - and indeed, suspect - not. I have a feeling this little boy who may now be six feet tall, has the makings of a star. God bless him and the 7th London Boys Brigade.
Father God please protect and preserve these boys from every harm around them. I wonder how they're all doing now since this was produced 9 years ago. God bless everyone of them including their teachers. Love to everyone pls
Just came across this. God bless the Choir leader and parents of these now teenagers. Jesus is Coming, brace yourselves on His WORD, BLOOD and The Testimonies. Keep His Law, including Sabbath Worship.
I just found this...it was recorded 10 years ago! These young men are in their teens or early 20's by now. Oh I pray they are anchored in Jesus now...serving Him! would love to know! God be near them!
We need to remind ourselves in these days of uncertainty, that we have a Hope that is certain, steadfast and secure in the Rock of our Salvation, our Lord Jesus Christ. May these boys who sang so well grew to love Jesus more and more and not waver in their faith when they go thro the storms of life. Thank you for this reminder
Thank you, young gentlemen!! Great job!! I used this song in my morning devotions and Scripture reading from Hebrews 6. We do have an anchor which keeps our soul. steadfast and sure in the Saviour's love. Again, thanks!!

If you’d just stop faffing around with microphones we could actually enjoy this wonderful hymn and the boys’ singing. This is God’s time but he is certainly being very very patient with the sound guys.
