I would say that 5 to 10 minutes is rush job on a customer no matter how fast you can shape. Taking the time to establish customer relationships should be part of the experience. I have been to the Best Hat Store in Fort Worth at the stockyards and never felt rushed. I would say they actually enjoyed visiting and getting to know their customers. They do a fantastic job each time and even offer you a beer. No matter what, the customer is always right whether they didn’t explain correctly or not. Remember, you’re the professional and they’re trying to figure out how to explain what they need. Maybe they just want to enjoy the experience as well.
