- Mostar, picturesquely situated in the valley of the Neretva River, is the fifth largest city in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a population of just over 113,000 and historically the capital of Herzegovina.
The city's most famous landmark is the Old Bridge, the "Stari Most", historically considered a symbol of the union between Christianity and Islam. Built in 1566, the bridge was destroyed in the Bosnian war in 1993 and rebuilt after the war. It is considered a protected cultural asset and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005 as a symbol of reconciliation and international and intercultural cooperation.
But Mostar has much much more to offer, and as always I tried to capture all my impressions with my camera. The city impressed me so much that I dedicated my longest video to it so far.

I have been to Mostar seven times. First in 1990 with 12 years. The memories of the old "Stari Most" before the war will stay forever in my mind.
Last, two weeks ago when we spent a holiday week in Bosnia which was one of the greatest holidays ever.
What can I say - Mostar is a myth and maybe one of the most interesting towns in the world. It is always a special feeling to be there. Standing in front of the Stari most around midnight when nobody else is there and admiring this monument when it is illuminated gives me particular vibes every time. There is a special spirit in that town you can't describe.
The climax are always the bridge jumpers. More than fascinating every time to watch them. May all of them stay safe and healthy in their entire life.
Looking forward to my next stay in Mostar. With love from Austria 🇦🇹

Tolle Aufnahmen. Mir war die Musik heute zu ruhig und manche Einblendungen wirkten zu hektisch. Ist aber meine Meinung und ist jammern auf ganz ganz hohem Niveau.
Alles in allem top, wie immer. Die Bilder nach dem Anspannen sollte man nicht außer acht lassen.

mit dem Video habe ich mal versucht, weniger mit Zeitrafferaufnahmen zu arbeiten und dafür ruhigere Kamerafahrten und -einstellungen mit einer entsprechend ruhigen Musik einzusetzen. Deshalb finde ich es spannend, was Du als hektisch empfunden hast. Magst Du das etwas näher beschreiben? Und was genau meinst Du mit „Einblendungen“? Liebe Grüße! 🍀
Hey Mike,
Gerne erläutere ich Dir was ich meine. Ich meine natürlich nicht Einblendungen sondern die Wechsel der Szenen. Zum Beispiel bei Minute 4:03 und 5:06 wirkt der plötzliche und sehr schnelle Szenenwechsel für mich sehr hektisch. Vor allem in der Kombination mit der ruhigen/langsamen Musik.
Aber bitte verstehe diese Kritik nicht falsch. Ich bin schon lange ein Bewunderer deiner Arbeit und möchte deine Videos auch in der Zukunft nicht missen. Daher kommt es wohl auch, dass mir solche Kleinigkeiten auffallen.
Ich finde es generell wichtig und super, dass Du beim Schnitt und Geschwindigkeit neue Wege gehst/ausprobierst. Denn nur so entwickelt man sich weiter.
Ich werde auch weiterhin ein treuer follower und Kritiker von dir bleiben.

Ich freue mich ja über Feedback und finde das wichtig, und Feedback besteht eben sowohl aus Lob als auch aus Hinweisen, was man besser hätte machen können, was gut ist für den Lernprozess. Ich bin ja kein Profi, sondern mache das als Hobby, daher brauche ich die Rückmeldungen meiner Zuschauer. Also alles gut. 😃
Ich habe schon beim Schneiden gemerkt, dass es ungleich schwerer ist, eine sehr ruhige Musik mit den Aufnahmen und den Schnitten zu kombinieren. Das wirkt auch auf jeden anders. Die Musik passt für mich zur Atmosphäre Mostars, wie ich sie wahrgenommen habe. Ich arbeite gerade an einem neuen Video, für das ich auch eine eher ruhige Musik hat, und uch habe soeben ein paar Schnittfolgen geändert, damit sie ruhiger werden. Ich freue mich, wenn Du es Dir nach der Veröffentlichung auch wieder anschaust. Bin gespannt, wie Du es dann findest. Viele Grüße! 🍀

I don't know to what extent this has changed. At the station you get the most up-to-date information and can make sure you get the right tickets. Have a good journey! 🍀
