You know, I discovered your channel a while ago when I first got into PZ and loved your content. Then a while later I discovered Vintage Story and fell in love with watching the few playthroughs I found of it on UA-cam. The fact that you're playing it now is such a happy coincidence for me. Maybe you'll convince me to get this game too like PZ!
Going full snowball earth settings with some worldgen mods and extra plants is so incredibly fun for giving you glimmers of hope in hopeless situations
@@Pr1vateLime if you do make this a series, I do genuinely suggest looking into the VS Village and VS questing mods, because if you come across a mayor npc or a soldier outpost, you can genuinely get a quest to create your own village in the snow from scratch! It's such a genuinely fun end goal in a desolate world like that!
I was watching a video about a new minecraft or minecraft 2, upon looking at the comments i realised a lot of people were talking about a game called vintage story, i searched it up and stumbled upon this masterpiece of a video and instantly fell in love with the game. Got yourself a new subscriber. Keep the good work up bro.
Man, I would've never found the game if it wasn't for this video! I immediately fell in love with it and got it right away hehe Please make this a series, Grugg deserves to show how he can thrive in such a harsh environment!
Hear me out, Lime. You should play this game this winter with your window open in your room to make yourself as cold as functionally possible. Only warm yourself up incrementally as your character also finds sources of heat or insulation. If you die in game you die IRL The algorithm demands your very mortality
This game seems like something you'de make interesting above a majority of many other UA-camrs who've played it. I totally look forward to this being a possible series!
I really love this game, despite its flaws in certain areas and very slow development. Yet its "harsh cold" start really is a challenge and its nice seeing you giving this game some time and place to shine. :)
To a degree these flaws add to it's charm, getting familiar with the little quirks the game has. While the updates are slow, they are cohesive and real improvements and additions to the game. A breath of fresh air and rewarding to stay involved in, unlike the other block game it resembles nowadays.
Lime seeing the piece of grass under the wagon "I will mark that down for later" Me who has been playing vintage story since 1.16 Oh you are not going to be happy when you find out
@@Pyxis10 Agreed. I’m not disputing her lethality with a firearm. She just a modern era survivor, Grugg is the og “keep your boom stick and your silly clothes” survivor. A Grugg/Claudette team up would be awesome.
you always get me addicted to new games I swear, this one seems incredibly interesting to watch. I hope there is more episodes, as well I hope I'm home from work when the next one drops lol! keep up the good work private lime!
Can't make a fire without grass, even with a bunch of evergreen trees right there? Big brain stuff. I know every time I've ever made a fire, I had to use grass instead of small twigs or leaves. Or as small twigs are sometimes better known: kindling.
This is the kind of content this game needs. I forgot this game existed despite being what, 7 years old? But you convinced me to run out and buy it right away
Please continue this series, I like seeing you play stuff other than PZ and I haven't seen any of you or your friends ever get past the stone age in this game.
You can dig up the ruins and they'll have soil underneath them, you can then put glacier ice (which you can dig by hand and doesn't melt) above the dirt to protect it from snow and it'll eventually grow some grass
"That discord notification was me, I am so sorry" Where does my, apparently superhuman, reaction time go when I need it? Can't play fps games because my reaction time is to slow, but I hear a notification and the video pauses instantly, and I fucking teleport to the dudes army discord server. I haven't even watched trupen in so long, and I never check my discord, until today.
"Place" every single thing you can. Like the gears you gave a fling to. They stack to five on open ground, and, there's plenty of that. A placed torch and a 1x2 "room" can (slooowly) warm you up. Also, the "starving" mechanic is paused every time you nibble something. Five grain, for instance, won't be anything but a blip if you just eat them ... but if you nibble one and *wait* , and then nibble another and *wait* ... much longer period to reach low food again.
Bro is so nice apologizing for the discord notification, I legit thought it was mine, when he said that I literally said out loud "Yo man no problem." xD
Man I loved your streams of this game. Glad to see you dropping some vids on the channel of it been too long since we got some vintage story here. Also second time one of your vids got me into a game, first chance I got I'm gonna buy this bad boy.
i remember seeing you play this game awhile back and i wanted to get it but i forgot about it glad to see this game return, and that is getting attention i finally managed to buy it recently
Excited to see this as a series hopefully, the game is a bit esoteric for me to get into by myself so it'll be nice to learn through you, and also the PZ content has gotten a tad stale because you're basically a god in that game regardless of what you're given.
I never tried an arctic vintage story challenge, seems fun. There might also be some good mods to work with to make it better besides just primitive survival but that one seems nice.
This really reminds me of the ages modpack for minecraft, would not be surprised if the devs are some of the same guys. Looks like an insane start, even surviving the first few days is not actually a guarantee you will make it :D
Had a dream last night that for some reason guest starred you, with a perfect mental recreation of your voice and the appearance of your profile pic. I was involved in some sort of survival game where people are trapped in two interconnected skyscrapers and "the players" have to I think navigate to the bottom. Hallways and stairways are randomly blocked by debris and elevators rigged to only a few floors so it's a huge complicated ordeal. There's supplies to loot along the way but no food, only way to keep nutrition up are sticks of string cheese that are rewarded to the player by the powers that be for and only for killing other players. Part of the Tutorial squared me off against you. And I nearly got you too, until you pulled some fancy maneuver involving jumping from an outside balcony to the one below it. I guess you took offense though because you focused on me every single other "game", and you were way better at it then me and I could only survive by fleeing in advance when I overhear you talking out loud. Think the loud narration of what's going on that you do in your vids crossed with villainous monologuing. Anyway I guess this was an actual game and not real bloodsport somehow because there were multiple sessions and the dream ended with me casually walking past the buildings with a parent and pointing you out in the crowd as the guy who gave me the most trouble, whereupon you broke out into a impromptu song and dance number I think about the game, the only parts I clearly remember are parts of the crowd joining in on the number and me doing the final lyric: "And when I hear my doom behind me, I know for sure that it's Him." ... ... ...anyway yippie for more Vintage Story content, game is criminally if unsurprisingly underrated. TLDR: Get out of my dreams Freddie Zoomer.
I watch you in Twitch as well. I go by JunkJack there. I think you have this game in the bag. This game may be your 2nd calling next to PZ! Keep at it, you're a very good PR speaker, and gamer. Captivate and deliver like you always do, and it will all work out!

This game's building system is way WAY more complex than minecraft. You can literally build anything with chiseling
Is there a carpal tunnel freindly version? 😅
there are duplicate block mods for chiseling!
The slow descent into feral artic man is the prime Vintage Story experience whenever winter hits.
