Hi, that plus / minus on the nozzle is how to adjust the spray pattern not flow, for that repair I'd suggest adjusting it towards the plus to give you a larger fan pattern, less chance of runs!

Hi, Mel Some great tips for anybody wanting to have a go doing a DIY job. That brings back memories for me repairing the wings on a TR7 All them trips to Halfords, Still, remember the bloody colour INCA Yellow. Keep up the great work. ATB Glen. Nice to see Kat 13:10 making an appearance 😺
I think the filler is what stops rust coming back on my old t4 I used same products as you except filler and rust came back year later awesome video Mel as usual 👍
I just thought to add this Mel, I hope you don't mind. A Dremel or similar can also be used with a sanding drum attachment. An angle grinder is a ferocious bit of kit and while I accept if things have got very bad and you have a large area an angle grinder and wire brush are excellent for fast paint and rust removal, for people without much experience of power tools, they might be a bit of a handful. A Dremel would be my preference for small patches of rust.
Really good job on the rust Mel, it’s something I deal with at work being an industrial painter/sprayer on BAE’s Clyde shipyards. Only suggestion I would offer would be using an abrasive flapping disc over a wire cup, bit more control over feathering back paint work while also being gentle on the good metal that’s still there. Big thumbs up from me big fella

Personally Mel I would of used a paint over smooth finish stone chip under the paint on the lower panels, especially if your painting the whole section, it gives it a more durable longer lasting finish, and if the paint did get chipped you still have a rubberised coating to stop and damp causing more rust, Ok it might take an extra 24hrs to go off before you apply top coat but it is worth the extra time and effort, otherwise mate great job as ever.
