Lonzo Balls impact on the Lakers was always evident. I remember his rookie season when he first got injured and everyones shooting percentages just dropped off a cliff and i also remember his last year in LA when the Lakers shut him down our defense went from top 5 to 28th in the league. People dont understand his impact. He literally did everything at an elite level besides shoot the ball and people still crucified him. Nice to see him growing as a player. As a Laker fan I'll always support the young Lakers. From Jordan Clarkson to Zubacs to Zo and BI. Nice to see all of them shining in their own way
To be fair the dude was horrendous at finishing at the rim and FT%, but other than that, he really was elite at playmaking, on/off ball defense, and BBallIQ

What an honor it is to watch the Ball Brothers play basketball with such a neat style, selflessness, accuracy, and consistency. I have been excited to watch Lonzo for several years now. With all that skill and ability I would have to question Lonzo's confidence and scoring ability under pressure shooting 2 pointers & shots under the basket. I wonder if father LaVar Ball made more parenting mistakes on his eldest son, perhaps too hard on him to a detrimental psychological extent. Thank you for the entertainment and education LaVar, Lonzo, LaMelo, LiAngelo (There is an Angel in that name), and mama Tina Ball.

LakerLand loved Zo. They really should have Kept Zo instead of Kuz.
But at the end of the day, getting traded might be the best thing for Zo’s future offensively.
Nah they couldn't have kept Zo. I'm pretty sure he was specifically requested by the Pels front office. Kuz had the least potential value, so they managed to leave him out of the deal but they may as well have thrown him in.

Agreed 100%. I remember being hyped af during and after that summer league, then we get to the season and his first play is a fcking dope alley oop to ingram. Gave me chills.
If the lakers just gave him time to develop the other aspects of his game, we wouldve been fine. He came in the league a top 10 passer, and just needed to improve his shooting and ability to score. His defense was already solid, and now its even better.
And above all, he makes watching games so fun. Magic will always be Magic, but Zo's passing gave me a small sample of what it must have been like to watch showtime lakers. His passes are just so fun and you can tell his teammates love playing with him.
