    Best way to practice your Golf Posture is in front of a mirror at home. Let me know if this video was helpful.

    Hi Shayain:
    I enjoyed watching all 4 of your GAPS videos. I have been playing golf for 50 years. As I am getting older my fitness level has affected my flexibility and strength and I am falling into bad habits. It is always good to get a refresher My handicap Index has moved up from 3.4 to 13+ Thanks, Zav
    PS. your dad told me you were a golf coach :)

      Wow a 3.4 is pretty impressive!! 13+ is also very good. I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t mind that :) my dad makes an appearance in the putting video 😉

    Went to the driving range this past Sunday. Met a couple young people out for the first time to hit balls. The young lady asked if she was addressing the ball correctly. So, I decided to help her and her male partner. After helping, they wanted another lesson next Sunday. I took their contact info, went home and found your UA-cam Channel. I sent them your info and told them to subscribe. If they pay attention to your instructions, I'll do you a solid and check their progress each week. :)

    In Latin American dance class we call that knee bend “soft knees” in other words, they are not locked or bent but softened. Its great to have someone video you to learn this stance correctly. Many thanks again for a very helpful class.

    I have found that starting vertical, bending at the waist gives me my proper ball position. With your shoulders, arms and hands tension free it’s where the club head touches the ground. Then relaxing the knee’s slightly and I am good to go. Proper foot knees and shoulders alignment all come to you with practice and thinking about it during a swing confuses the mind. Love your clear and simple breakdown of the basics.

      @@CoachShayain thank you for your reply. Since I'm learning, I'm also trying to buy a golf kit to practice with that where the problem is. What I understand women need golf kits that are lighter and probably shorter shafts if you are of 160cm height? but how does one decide - how to buy your first golf kit and what kind?

    • @CoachShayain
      @CoachShayain  4 роки тому

      Sorry to hear that about your shoulder. With the new golf swing that you learned was it with a certified golf teacher or have you been trying to figure the new swing out yourself? Also don´t be too hard on yourself, the driver the is the hardest club in the bag to hit.

    • @mack042
      @mack042 4 роки тому

      thanks yea partial rotator cuff repair took a while a certified golf teacher has me using a half swing as we speak had to go from steel shaft to graphite from my 9.5 driver to high lofted driver with more forgiveness with new swing slice was crazy somewhat better now but not where i want to be short game is better longer clubs giving me a fit driver 3 wood had to ditch my longer irons for hybrids thats working out nice overall once i get off the tee box which is a nightmare hhahahahha i do pretty good getting my self out of trouble but i find myself playing clean up most of the round i can believe that about the driver what a pain thanks

      hear** not best

    • @CoachShayain
      @CoachShayain  4 роки тому

      Hey Jessa.... I will be doing a video on Chipping, keep you eye out for that. Yes, if when you push your hands really forward it does change the loft of the club. In my example I am showing you off the tee box with a full swing that at address with your hands forward is what you want to look like at impact with your hands forward as well. Keeping in mind everyones swing looks different. Which is why you will need to go and practice your irons and see if having your hands by your left thigh at address works for you. Keep me posted and let me know if you have any other questions.
