So amazing to be watching this go through all its phases (so far). Getting to see it start from just a fissure, and the watching how it keeps building up structures. Don't usually get to see these things in the making 😊❤
The subsequent episode began at 09:19:10, but at 09:20:04, a new vent opened in the crater wall, and the lava fountains from the central vent then did not get significantly higher than the crater rim. So it seems that the new vent allows the pressure to be released continuously. Perhaps the violence of this event led to the formation of the new opening. It is really amazing to watch this evolution.
@@The20027 This will likely form a shield volcano over the coming months/years. Which means its altitude will eventually be high enough for the lava streams to reach populated areas. So yes, it can definitely have an effect on people and animals.
@@The20027 Nobody settled in this area because they knew perfectly well it was geologically active. Unlike the rest of the world where they settle every goddamned rift, vent, and volcano
@@DecepticonLeader thank you for your reply....these eruptions do worry me....as they seem to have a never ending flow of maga....not to mention the pressure
Don't forget to mention that smoke came from BOB immediately afterwards and a little lava on top of that . Maybe some more changes will happen this WE.
@@Levo42691. I'm sure she meant exactly what she said, and her post makes more sense than yours. Volcanoes have been erupting all over the planet for umpteen millions of years. How come you think that this one is any different?
And I'm calling Elon Musk to speed up that spaceship development. This is making me jittery, with each eruption improving on the previous one 😱. Time to leave Earth asap.
In 1783 another fissure volcano on Iceland called Laki erupted. It was shooting lava fountains as high as 1,400m. This eruption was so large that it altered weather pasterns all over the globe, causing famines in Europe, Northen Africa, and even India. The Mississippi river froze as far south as New Orleans, and many historians credit that volcano and the resultant famine as a key component to the start of the French Revolution.

Well, not a very good thing! But, if it were me, I'd prefer it be a small volcano, and I'd have a large backyard, and the volcano erupted relatively gently.
This is so amazing! Thank you for keeping all of these online. I have been enjoying looking back at all your videos!

Love how it goes up as molten rock and fall back down as solid.
I noticed that to.
Still landing as molten rock, you can tell where it lands because its still glowing orange-red.

I love how the darker cooling lava, combined with the blue of the sky, gives certain parts of the fountain a purple/pink tint.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful spectacle!!!!

Definitely the strongest and highest burst we have seen.
And soon after that the pulsing stopped, only constant flowing now.
Nearing the end maybe?
Don't forget to mention that smoke came from BOB immediately afterwards and a little lava on top of that .

Sorry, they tell me there was another small earthquake and RAG-NAR returned to pulsing again.
True
Back to bursting as of today!
