Such a nice number Alexia. It is very pleasing and happy. Love that bass line! It almost has a cool 80's new Wave tone to it. Thanks for sharing! This was cool.✌️❤️😊
Lex, i loved this band all Through 2000 until 2010. Brings back a lot of memories! You need to check their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix released in 2009. Really great record! Definitely in this vain. Maybe a little more alternative sounding . But their trademark sound! Love that Nick thought i would love this! Love you! Thanks for everything!!😊
That was a great joyful groove, it fits you to a T Alexia. Nice to see your smiling faces and bobbing heads. I enjoyed the sparse beginning of the song with limited instrumentation. But when everything came together and all the instruments mixed in all at once, it was very infectious made me want to jump up and dance, except I was driving. Thanks for sharing it can’t always be about us. 😃
I liked this song! I hadn't heard anything from their 1st album before. I discovered Phoenix when their album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix came out and I heard the songs "1901" and "Lisztomania" on the radio. I then bought some songs on iTunes and put them on my iPod. I really like several songs from their 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums: "Run, Run, Run", "Love For Granted", "Everything Is Everything", from Alphabetical; "Consolation Prizes", One Time Too Many", "Second To None" from It's Never Been Like That; and "Lisztomania", "1901", "Lasso", and "Girlfriend" from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Their subsequent albums didn't grab me, but I still listen to my favorite tracks. They are a French pop band, and their lead singer, Thomas Mars, is married to director Sophia Coppola. They did some music for her film Somewhere, with Elle Fanning and Stephen Dorff. 🎵❤️🎵
Thanks for that peek into your past. Never heard this French band before, but Versailles...not too shabby! I am kinda reminded of other bands I like from this century, like Bastille, Tame Impala, and a few others, some of which I put in a UA-cam playlist called "The New Groovy: Hip Songs Today", which made me realize that these are the good old days...if you can find it. The playlist is located here and is a little dated: ua-cam.com/play/PLZEINYIMlZTLe4mOn0kln0_Fb4LjfWOFC.html
That's the first time hearing Phoenix for me Alexia. Very much of its time and certainly made me think of Jamiroquai as well. More of your choices would be very welcome. Thanks xx
Hi guys, listening to this, in parts sounds like a track by '21 Pilots', called "Hometown". Only in parts as they are very different songs, but yea, this track came to mind and as I love that song ... I really like this one....and Lex would love "Hometown". 🤫 [ Lex's pick ? ] Byeee Jim X
What is going on?.This is incredible I have not heard this track for at least three years and It was actually played on our local radio station this morning and here it is again. Spooky
I did not know this band and I like lots of different elements, but overall, not sure, if I will dive into this band 😕. I much preferred Death Cab for Cutie! Sorry

the best track of this group will no doubt remain Lasso. /their last album - a huge disappointment. Try a better group of this period - ua-cam.com/video/fpsdebCKUsk/v-deo.html ( this was a russian viewer who wrote a comment about boring Sade u didn't like )
Phoenix (they are a French band btw) have a new album out. I've always enjoyed them 🙂
Lex, your smile alone made this worth watching. You could light up all of Colorado. Had never heard this, but it's a nice groove.

I absolutely love this song.
You know what? I think I'm hearing Steely Dan vibes, yes ?
You’re totally right!! That’s probably why I love the Dan so much!!
Silky smooth riffs and Vocals ❤

Love Tame Impalas "Lost In Yesterday!"
I get it. Your nostalgia moment. It's a deep feeling.😚
Lex, Phoenix has a bunch of great songs! I'm sure you know 1901. If you don't you should! 🤘🏼
That's the first time hearing Phoenix for me Alexia. Very much of its time and certainly made me think of Jamiroquai as well. More of your choices would be very welcome. Thanks xx
Cool!!! The ol’ switcheroo!!!
Lex ! The Philosophical Groove !!
Yes !! You rock !
Nice shirt Nick!
There's a lot of good music from this era that doesn't get attention from 'reactors'. (More 2000s music!)

Love "Lasso!" I really prefer the guitar- driven sound of their earlier work- so I don't care for their last three albums.
Typical modern era music with all too wordy vocals and mediocre musicianship not allowing the music to breathe.
