good day Dr. Shobha, this video is very informative and useful especially to us students working on technical efficiency study. But I am confused to where did you compare the t-test values to consider it is significant or not. Please enlighten me, thank you
Madam, is interpretations were same for technical effects model, like to know whether the coefficients are the significant or non significant values based on t ratios
I have 3 questions; I. 1 dependent variable is scored 1-4, Should I take log for this variable before analysis? II. other variables are ratio scale, I took log before analysis. Is it correct? III. the output at the number of restrictions showed = * , so how I know the number or the analysis was wrong?
How do you do Mam? I have been studying the technical efficiency of smallholder farmer maize production. I assumed improve seed as a dummy variable if used 1,0 0ther wise. This variable was again assumed as the main input or production function.is it get in log or not? it possible to left without log? thank you mam
Madam if we want to analysis the stochastic frontier production function along with inefficiency variables like age experience etc then which commands we want to use
thank you, Mam. But I want you to support me in the way we separately estimate technical inefficiency variables from production function or main input of production. or it possible to regress at the same time or simultaneously
Madam I have a question. Since this is a truncated normal distribution, negative t- ratio implies that the variable is not significant. for example, If t - ratio is -3, then the variable is not significant? Is that right?
@@jyotsnarosario2204 In t, negative sign is ignored. Only absolute values are taken. Based on the value, interpretation is done. Earlier reply is a general explanation of negative t.
Amazing mam
Super

Rightly said

please Madam,
show us how to estimate TE, allocative efficiency and economic efficiency
Thank you!

Don't log it
@@dr.shobhak6764 THANK YOU MAM.
Madam if we want to analysis the stochastic frontier production function along with inefficiency variables like age experience etc then which commands we want to use
for age and experience also ,we want to do log form madam??
No for those variables you need not take log
Keep those variables in the same form
Thank you so much madam for your response

Same time
@@dr.shobhak6764 thank you Madam.
hello mam, may I know the minimum and maximum sample size to run SFT
Madam I have a question. Since this is a truncated normal distribution, negative t- ratio implies that the variable is not significant. for example, If t - ratio is -3, then the variable is not significant? Is that right?
If t-value is negative it means a reversal in the directionality, which has no significance.

@@dr.shobhak6764 thank you for the clarification 😊. I really appreciate you taking the time to clarify my silly doubt. 🙏
Madam what is the value of 10 per cent level of significance
P value..0.10
Listen to my lecture carefully you will get the answer
good work and very useful madam
