- An episode of The Whisk(e)y Vault hosted at Whisky Marketing School in Austin, TX.
Today we talk about Ranger Creek .36 Texas Bourbon from Ranger Creek Brewing and Distilling.
Toured Ranger Creek with their Master Distiller, Josh Gardner and love their bourbon, especially the .36 Cask Strength. I expect great things to come from this distillery.
Speaking of "gifts to the world" your channel is a gift to the world
I'm calling your blend "The Smoking Gun."
I'd love to see a cigar/whisky video of you guys hanging out enjoying a cigar and maybe choosing some delightful beverages to accompany it with. Love the videos-catching up from the beginning. Cheers!
I went to a seafood disco last week… and pulled a mussel.
Was just gifted a small barrel bottle batch 55 25 month and have NEVER gotten sourdough until this was down to about .5 oz left in a glencairn for about 30 minutes and I went back to check how the nose changed. HOLY S&!7 man it’s interesting. Cheers guys, just joined Patreon also.
November 24, 2019 - I am watching this video to compare notes on the Bourbon as I will be reviewing it during "Texas Whiskey Month 2020". Interesting, Rex looks half-civilized with shorter hair. It is also interesting Daniel is not wearing a black shirt.... time to bring the plaid shirts back!
You need to add lab coats and bubbling beakers and do a series of Frankenwhisk(e)y episodes.
This is a pure genius idea
Not one we get here in Maryland. Guess I have to take a vacation. LOL :)
Love the mix.. call it the Irish Ranger
We used to call that making a suicide as a kid (mixing sodas on the fountain) another great episode
We called it swamp water. Never knew that it had another name. I'm thinking probably many names now.
A Dirty Mullet. If the Ballantine/Laphroaig was The Mullet then adding Ranger Creek would make it dirty. Like adding olive brine to a martini.
Random question...I am coming over to the USA from Glasgow in the summer can you take a bottle of whisky as a gift for someone on an internal flight say D.C. to LA?
My experience has been, if you pack it well in your checked luggage, you should be fine! That's not official, but I've done it many times.
Excellent thanks for the reply & top vids also chaps :)
I like how you can tell how many videos they have filmed in a row by how red their heads/faces get.
The Four Roses we do have!
It's funny to me how Rex gets robitussin to appear semi often because I personally find I get the flavor of dimetapp in most of the things I usually tend to really enjoy.
Yeah, I hassle him on this one all the time.
(Now I'm thinking 3 cameras)...Will you be bottling and releasing this gift to the world as a blend? I don't think I'll ever be able to buy .36 here. Rex, could you possibly talk Daniel into trying several substitute bourbons on-air for this blend? You know - just as a service for viewers who can't find Ranger Creek .36.
You are a good man, charlie brown.
The combo with the base as Texas should either be called Border Patrol from the immigrant whiskey seeking refuge....or the Coyote since you hunt coyotes and critters with .36
now i may be wrong but by old church lady perfume i think he might be refereeing to channel no.5
The Southern Claymore??? I'm just throwing a name out there for the blend you just made (Ballantine, Laphroaig & Ranger Creek .36).
a kilted kowboy
Call it.. "Under the Scottish Sun"
1836 was the year that Texas won Independence from Mexico hence 36
I thought it was a reference to .36 caliber colt revolvers and the fact that it uses smaller aging barrels. The ranger creek .44 uses larger barrels and is also a caliber reference.
Seems as if Rex gets a little testy by video 3...
