Only a few minutes into the reveal and I already noticed most hype pokemon got a 9 when the others get 10s. PSA pop control is real. I'll never trust them.
Could you do a video explaining how you plan to do the 60 day turnaround thing? Is there a plan you have for changing prices or are you just meaning you'll price lower and hope things sell?
Hey, Previous PSA Employee here. I'm allowed to talk about certain things so I'll keep it short. 1) PSA Pop control is not a thing, we don't get paid anymore than what's normal per hour to make your card a 9/10, we have a standard. It must meet 55/45 centering borders have to be really particular, and surface damage and scratches go undetected all the time. 2) Sometimes cards are harder to grade than others, whether it's Centering or Surfacing or whitening or even altered cards. If we have any questions, we send the card to other graders to have a look, or at least where I worked at it's what we did. 3) Vintage English like Expedition and Legendary Collection are naturally HARDER to grade. Not saying it's impossible to 10 but it's harder just because of the scratches and borders. Also Vintage in general is harder to grade 10 because cards get altered by cleaning. Yes, cleaning works just be careful sometimes hair-line scratches go undetected by the normal eye. Too much altering gets the card sent back. 4) Yes, sometimes employees are crooked. We had a handful of employee's fired for "tampering". It can happen, but remember, accident's happen, and we're all humans. Just make sure you take pictures before or after, or even before and send then in with your order. 5) I don't recommend cracking slabs, just because you thought it'd get a 10. I promise, 8/10 times, it won't. And when it does, it's normally a grade decrease. The times you see a card go from a 6 > 8 or an 8 > 9 is USER error. Remember someone deals with cards all day, your cards are NOT as rare as you may think. We get personal collections from all over containing cards that we compare and contrast all day. So if you got a Arceus LV X as a 6 and crack it and it grades an 8, I promise there was another Arceus LV X we seen that same day.
Hey bro I have a Pikachu Worlds Set very clean set that should get 10s. It’s sealed with good centering. It came back ranging from PSA 6 to 10. Those PSA 6 to 9 I had cracked and resent, it got 10s. They are not pop controlled but what I would say is it is inconsistent and might be due to “lazy” worker slapping random numbers to quickly close the order.
@atn3419 There's always going to be lazy workers in any field. The pay isn't great, and we have cards worth THOUSANDS come in every day. How would you feel if you had 100+ cards worth $400+ that you had to grade in a day? Some of those cards is that person's paycheck for the week. Like I said some are crooked.
@atn3419 But I'll also say this, Dents are hard to visually see, it could be the smallest of dents or corner nics that caused that 6, normally a card wouldn't get a 6 otherwise, unless it's MP.
@ sad reality man. Whoever benefiting is the one at the top. In this case PSA CEO, but dude had the foresight to use his tech money to buy PSA hot damn. Have to agree on lazy people in any field, but damn sometimes the inconsistency is real for a grading company. However, I’m still an active customer, talk about irony HAHA
@atn3419 Same, I don't use BGS because they lost a package of mine that had about 300 worth of raw cards, I waited 6 months and got it back. NONE of the cards were mine. Not 1. Emailed a complaint, and they refunded me HALF my amount of the cards, with an apology. No clue where they're at now
23:55 I got back into pokemon with 151 and have some PSA 10s from evolutions set when I was last collecting that I want to sell and put towards cards that interest me more these days but they obviously have the old label and Im really not in the correct mental space to deal with these sorts of questions/accusations 😮💨
Hey Steven. I've been really enjoying your videos. I'm sure someone has already asked that and you've probably already answered it as well, but I was wondering how you keep track of your general expenses and profits. Because I'm feeling like with that much inventory, it is hard to really tell apart, if after fees&grading costs and this&that, you've made profit and how much you've made on a particular card (also since there is so much delay between sourcing the item and eventually selling it).
Bulba 10th anniversary. Also couldnt find your cars. I never new someone else can do cars and pokemon, because between them both its easy to rinse money 😂 great video i enjoyed looking at the cards you are grading. Keep doing the videos!

I still think it is a waste of money. A lot of people go for the same certain cards. The rest of the collection will be a hard sell or with loss. And still the risk you take to send it over to any grading company. I don't trust them or have any trust in shipping companies either.
Ya had me rolling about 3 minutes in when you said PSA is pretty tough on grading. Lol. They are. Name one grading company that's softer than PSA. Most people use PSA because PSA gives them the best chance at getting a ten which relates to higher values for your cards.
Bro psa is getting very very hard to get a 10 because beckett 10s are like double psa. I expect there pops to hit 50% max for 10s soon. Also a.i is coming so they have to be strict so a.i doesn't expose them.
Grading is a joke. PSA has made it so that only tens matter to collectors. They hand out so many 10's that all other grades are frowned upon and viewed as undesirable. I won't buy PSA grades cards because their 10 is so watered down and too many PSA 10's are undeserving of that grade. Im not paying a premium for a card that may only be average. As you can see by these reveal likely well over 50% getting 10's. That's ridiculous. The 10 doesn't mean much when they are that easy to get. Idk who the idiots are that buy them.
I graded over 6000 cards PSA & CGC
Buying is easy, Grading is easy, Collecting is easy, selling is hard.
Where do you buy 6000 cards to grade ?
selling takes a while on ebay if you arent selling under market and listing niche. take them to a card show and he would do great!
