By coincidence I’ve had a few people around me recently who have had seizures unexplained and could have been related to a virus and raised temperature. Shit happens mate. On the Newcastle front, fighting relegation, 4th and 7th in the last 3 seasons is very positive. I think the biggest issue is some fans expectations. Next season, after a few more signings, the team should, for the first time, have a real chance of getting top 6. Not getting into Europe might have some impact on players but don’t kid yourself, Newcastle are now a proper team and there will be enough quality players very keen to join. Reality check; look at Leeds yesterday missing out on promotion … their fans would give anything to be in the same position as Newcastle now.

IMO the lads don’t expect Europe for at least a couple of years when they arrived at a relegation threatened club. They’ve achieved so much in that time we can only b considered top6 at the very least now which is an achievement in itself. I can’t see Bruno and co walking away when it’s only job half done. I think we still get Tosin why not? Because we aren’t in the Conference I’m sure he wasn’t waiting on that to make his mind up! It’s not as if he some mega star we are going for!
But if Chelsea wants him, he wouldn’t have to relocate his family anywhere while also playing for a team with European football. I would be really impressed with the club if we have still convinced him to join despite strong competition
I’m hoping Eddie Howe has had a lot to do with the players decision because when you look at Manchester United and Chelsea although they both just managed to scrap European football, the managers and dressing room seem nowhere near as stable and together as what we are.

Personally, i rate Europe as reward vs strain. The conference pays next to nothing to even win it, but the strain would be enormous. It's just not worth it imo. The benefits of being out of Europe outweigh the negatives of the conference. The Europa league would have been different
Bruno was never going to stay to play in the euro conference competition, short career with nothing guaranteed a footballer needs to maximise his career as and when he is a desired employee, for the greatest personal rewards.

Roumer is from Chelsea fans, is that Chelsea will decline the Conference league(as they may have to sell a lot of young players to comply with UEFA rules) so their place will go to us. Thoughts on that if it happens.

@@AdamPearson1242 I am led to believe that they can decline without sanction as long as they do this before a deadline day. Believe that a premiership club has declined a lower UEFA competition (think it was inter toro) but can’t think who it was at the moment. Chelsea would be financially better off declining than accepting.

@AdamPearson1242 over achieving, bang average squad with a small scattering of quality. Will be a struggle to bring in any top quality. Anything between 10th and 7th is realistic.
Bruno ,Isak , Big Joe ,Gordon , Tonali, Miley, Trippier, Botman,Tino,Pope, Barnes, Wilson , is not a small scattering of quality, and I expect a top class right winger and a few more top quality additions.
@AdamPearson1242 I'm have a few quid on 1st 2nd and top 4, it's very feasible, if the team hits the ground running without the extra work load or distraction of Europe then why not, stranger things have happened.
We finished 7th with a injured depleted squad while having Champions League football and also a suspended Sandro Tonali, we should be looking to achieve a lot domestically without any European football next season
Chelsea might get knocked out of Europe because of ffp so hang on to your hats👍

I don't know what to think about Bruno because you can tell he loves the fans. He's my favourite player and he's just pure class. But..... Even though he's my favourite player I'd be even more distraught if isak left. We can't replace those goals unless we found and absolute gem. With bruno we have sandro coming back miley joelinton willock anderson and even longstaff (yes he had a bad season but you can tell he was fucked for the last 3 months) 100m would get in someone like onana aswell as fixing RW if yak isn't ready. If a player only wanted to come to us because he thought we'd be playing in Europe and now isn't interested, that's absolutely NOT the type of person and player we want anyway.
