Will was in town, maybe you were there as well. What a great night. Before going on stage and making us proud with his performance, he was kind enough to tell us something about his experience playing our handmade Amsterdam Free Wind alto over the last few months.
For more info about the Amsterdam Free Wind alto saxophone please visit amsterdamwinds.nl
its always nice to find a good horn, good for him.
And for those interested in Will's mouthpiece setup; it is a Ted Klum custom sized Acoustimax size .081”
Which reed strength?
one word - BAD
It looks like one of Roberto's woodwind expensive napkin rings indeed.
Great sounding horn. What mouthpiece is that?
Thanx Friso, i Was wondering. the Ligature is one of the roberto's wooden ligatures??
Does any one know if Free Wind make 100% of their horns? Especially the sax's? Since almost every other maker is using some Taiwanese parts. The only maker I know that makes their sax's 100% in-house from start to finish is Rampone & Cazzani. Possibly Inderbinen??
Anderson C yanagisawa as well I think!
How much is a freewind alto delivered to USA.
hi friso, but where i can buy this alto saxophone?
What type of reeds is Will using? He sounds great, maybe it's just the horn!
I liked him on his mouthpiece, I think I read somewhere it was a Soloist
where i can buy ?
Hi, the Free Wind alto is a hand made instrument that can be ordered at our workshop directly. The price is EUR 6.500,- ex VAT (VAT is only applicable to European Union citizens). The waiting time for an instrument is about 10 months. Please email me at info@amsterdamwinds.nl if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Friso
