Oh man, the ending of this hit me hard. I’ve had the privilege to work as an illustrator several years but was let go from my job a year ago. It put my head in a spin, deciding on how to proceed. This fall I’ll start studying animation in Molkom and I really do feel like that: ”because I need it.” There are no guarantees even with ”stable jobs”, but following something you want for yourself is irreplacable. ❤
Sheesh the layoffs are crazy nowadays, I hope you're doing well! Studying is so much fun, I hope you get to learn a lot and have a lot of fun! Let's hope there will be jobs for all soon!
having the part time job and doing my own thing is pretty much what I'm forced to plan for right now :) (I'm in the grade after yours). already invested in a strong computer to develop my own stuff/skills at home. Starting this summer.
