@@temakelly1188 Hi there, there are a range of different hair cleansers that I use to wash my hair, sometimes I'll use just clay and herbs, sometimes African black soap and sometimes there are certain herbs I use that both cleanse and condition all in one. I'm in the process of putting more videos together on this topic where I will be going into detail about all the various different ways we are able to both wash and condition our hair without the use of conventional toxic shampoos and conditioners. I'll be uploading these videos to my channel in the upcoming weeks. Please stay tuned for those. Thank you so much for watching and commenting x
@@TheAymoneShow For me personally I no longer use clarifying shampoos. This is because all of the products/ingredients I use on my hair are all 100% natural and organic so the use of clay and herbs works very effectively at removing any product build up. I found however, when I was using synthetic ingredients/products on my hair, I needed to clarify with a clarifying shampoo which stripped my hair and would increase the need for regular trims. But this is what I found personally works best for me. Hope this helps and thank you for leaving a comment xx
Just be mineful organic, homemade, or diy products also create carcinogens and toxic by products depending on what you mix and the pricess you mix it. Like one example is burning almonds for eyeliner creates coal. But also carcinogens and even lead. So by mineful of how you produce your products. Also keeping homemade producs to long can produce un wanted bacteria, mold and even formaldehyde.
Thank you for watching and commenting. This is very true, it's important for people to be careful when creating DIY's and store them correctly also. For me, I use all of my products that contain water in within a matter of a few days. Personally DIY's have been very beneficial and safe for my hair because I use them responsibly. Thanks again for commenting.

Hello to all and dear Host. After listening to our dear host I had to comment. OMG ! Yes. These haircare products attack your senses upon opening no matter the brand name of product. From personal experience, noticed how the product is gooey covered with smells that are of unknown origin. In addition to this, the added 'natural ' chemicals cause so many problems that its not even funny. To me, it's a no brainer any product that has water first followed with butter is a non-negotiable. I know those two do not mix as well as secrets and honesty. Thank you for letting me comment.

I actually stopped using our products awhile ago….most products are very glycerine heavy and overly fragrant. All the essential oils are just too much for my allergies. Also something I’ve really noticed is that our products lack true cosmetology backed formulas….
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience. It's so good that many are waking up to the harm some of these products are doing to our health. Very good point about the lack of cosmetology backed formulas. I really appreciate your comment - thanx again💕
Also follar store products can sometimes be better because they have less ingredients in them and then you can add oils and stuff to them. Dollarstore products can be. Good base to your diys if you want to reduce the amount of chemicals and not going completely from scratch.
I am in 100% agreement. I've been having such an issue with finding the right products since a bout with anemia the past couple years. After learning about products that contain endocrine disruptors, I've had to really monitor what I'm using on my hair and body. But because there aren't that many products for natural hair that do not contain such ingredients, I've succumbed, and as a result, I've been having itchy scalp and extreme dryness. Now that I've watched your video, I'm about to cleanse my hair and scalp, pull out my 100% organic castor oil, and go on a 30-day product detox. Thanks for sharing your experience and information!

I thought the thinner ends were just due to normal wear and tear but some products might be damaging it too. Thanks for pointing this out!! I need to stop being lazy with DIY.
Yh, I think for some people it may be wear and tear, for me personally I found that after I stopped using conventional products and switched completely to DIYs my ends began to feel so different. Most of the “black owned” hair products are no longer owned by the person who started the company. If you look it up a lot have been sold to large non black companies. 😬
Yes, I have seen this. I've also noticed the ones that used to be black owned and are no longer do their best to keep the public believing that they are still black owned. Of course with a bit of research it's easy for us to find out but they definitely don't make it clear that the products are not black owned anymore for obvious reasons. Thank you for pointing this out. I appreciate your comment😊
RIGHT SO WE SHOULD'NT BLAME THEM. EXACTELY. WE MUST BE MINDFUL TO MAKE THAT CLEAR. BLACK OWNED BUSINESSES SUFFER ENOUGH ALREADY TO STAY RELEVANT AND SUCCESSFUL.
@@ahkeeantahkeeant8096 she’s speaking on formulated hair products and the chemicals in them. In particular those marketed as “natural” hair products . A lot of the companies that were black owned but were sold to large corporations and they are pretty quiet about their companies changing hands. They are usually kept on with a title. However the company is still being touted as black owned but they are changing ingredients and the sourcing of the ingredients. So everyone who uses “ natural” hair products should do the research on the “chemicals” in store bought products whether the company is indeed a black owned company or a formerly black owned company. I now have Sisterlocks’s, and it is recommended to not use any product in your hair so that the locks don’t get buildup and so forth…all this to say, my hair has never been longer than it is now. I know locks are essentially dead hair, but when I say I don’t use anything but a specific shampoo every few weeks…it’s amazing!
Oh WOW!! That's so interesting to hear. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. It's made me realise even more so that we don't need these products they are selling to us.
My hair is thriving without them (like never before). Happy to hear your hair journey is going well. Thank you again for sharing your experience❣
Hi. So all you use is shampoo. So do you use shampoo with conditioner in one
You can’t use a clarifying shampoo?!
I'll be uploading my full journey using DIY's very soon and will prove they have been more beneficial on my hair and health in comparison to conventional products that contain synthetics.
Personally DIY's have been very beneficial and safe for my hair because I use them responsibly.
Thanks again for commenting.

Whew, 😥 I should’ve continued to do my DIY products but instead I decided to try a store brought product that actually damaged my hair horribly so back to DIY I go!!! Thank you for the love and support of this video for our hair and gaining knowledge
It's ok babe, we all live and learn. I've been the same. I used to use DIYs over 10 years ago and my hair was thriving, then I went back to store bought and everything went downhill after that, so I'm back with my DIYs.

Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience. I really appreciate it💞

OUR products? I DONT UNDERSTAND....
@@ahkeeantahkeeant8096 this upload is about black hair care products, the UA-camr is black hence using “our”
Also follar store products can sometimes be better because they have less ingredients in them and then you can add oils and stuff to them. Dollarstore products can be. Good base to your diys if you want to reduce the amount of chemicals and not going completely from scratch.
Great point. Thank you for sharing.
So very sorry to hear about your experience. It's so unfair and unjust that we have to go through all of this simply just to care for our hair. I'm happy to hear that you are going to transition over to using organic ingredients.
I will be uploading lots of videos in the upcoming weeks and months showing all of my recipes, tutorials and detailed explanations of everything I am using - I'll also be showing proof of results relating to me using strictly DIY products on my hair. Hopefully these videos will help.

I'm really sorry to hear about what you are experiencing with your scalp. I totally understand as I've been through the same.
Definitely look into the ingredients within your products as for me personally, I found my conventional products to be the cause of all of the issues I was suffering with - including scalp issues and brittle hair.
I really hope you get to the cause of your scalp issues.

Very soft and able to retain moisture a lot better. That's when I realised the products I was using were all drying out my hair (especially my ends and causing them to be brittle).
Thank you so much for watching and commenting💕
@@MindfullyRooted Yikes well glad to hear your hair is improved! I've been discouraged to go full DIY by people online saying it's not as effective as commercially made products. I think I have to just keep trying different mixes because I'm tired of favorite products discontinuing or changing.

Shei moisture grows my hair..I never had no problem with that one ..i use that now..How do you know its synthetic?
I’m definitely a firm believer in do what works best for you hun. All the ones I tried have synthetic fragrances in them and those contain other chemicals within them that aren’t listed so I don’t personally trust that - especially because I noticed when I use products that contain fragrance they dry out my hair and leave it feeling brittle after a couple of days which lead me to having to trim more regularly, but again that’s just me so please do listen to your hair and continue to do what your hair likes and loves😘
HEALTHY EATING HABITS EFFECT HAIR "GROWTH"!
SIMPLE MASSAGES INCREASE BLOOD FLOW AND STIMULATE "GROWTH"!
PRODUCTS CAN DO SOME GOOD FOR HAIR AND SCALP AS WELL TO KEEP THE SURFACE OF THE SCALP CLEAN AND CLEAR SO GROWTH CAN OCCUR THO.
REGULAR HAIR TRIMS ... "PREVENT" SPLIT ENDS .
SPLIT (ENDS) CAUSE THE UNRAVELING OF THE (WHOLE HAIR STRAND) DOWN TO THE ROOTS ,
THINNING THE HAIR AND DECREASES YOUR ABILITY TO .....RETAIN LENTH.
IF YOU DIDN'T USE SHEA MOISTURE, BUT YOU DID (TRIM) YOUR ENDS EVERY 2 MONTHS ( JUST A LITTLE)...
...YOU WOULD (STILL) SEE HAIR "GROWTH" ANNNND WONDERFUL LENTH RETENTION. YUP!
SPLIT ENDS......IF NOT CLIPPED WILL CONTINUE TO SPLIT ALL THE WAY DOWN CAUSING WHAT PEOPLE REFER TO INCORRECTLY AS ..."STUNTED" GROWTH.

I'm going to file complaint with someone and see about trying to sue the company to my son's hair was mid length in the middle of his bk dam it
This is awful. I'm sorry that you son has gone through this!!!
Hello, so I see how you wash and condition your hair but what do you use for styling? What moisturizer and/or gel (if any)?
Hiya, I actually have a video going live today at 7:30pm BST showing a detailed video of one of the ways in which I deep condition my hair, I also explain the benefits of each of the ingredients I'm using. They'll be more videos in the future relating to other ways in which I condition. Hopefully you will find them all helpful.
With regards to moisturising, I'm very old school lol. I use my glycerin spray for hydration, then I seal that in with an oil (usually Jamaican black castor oil) and my whipped shea butter. That's literally it. Sometimes I'll also seal using flaxseed gel as well. I keep everything DIY and it's working out really well. More videos on this coming soon.
Thanx again for watching and commenting and if you have any other questions please do feel free to let me know. Have a blessed Sunday💕

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear this. I totally understand as there was a time when my hair was coming out in clumps. It got to the point where I thought it was normal.
Her topic is about doing Your research on ingredients. Which is smart especially if you are having issues with your hair or want to avoid them. Synthetic ingredients can be a problem with hair and health. I thought it was a good conversation.
