🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

Those eastern parts of people were using gun even before British colonial. Britishers didn't entered whole Konyak areas. Once British missionary visited one Konyak villege, those people were so aggressive towards him so he ran off to another parts of Nagaland and from there the Britishers gradually convinced the headhunters through native language translator (what im told). In result Konyak received Christ late than other tribes that Konyak are celebrating some 25yr, some 50yr and some 75yr.

This is brilliant, I grew up in a conservative Brahmin household in which everyone shits on things they don't deem to be part of "Indian Culture". No ethnic or religious group has a monopoly on Indianness. Minority religions and people from tribes or scheduled castes have been shat on. This was eye-opening and heartwarming.
Kudos to Sonny and the team, this is nothing short of ground-breaking. It reminded me of how Anthony Bourdain used to effortlessly discuss deeply intense political issues. Sonny did just that and took it a step farther by doing it in a light hearted way, throwing in some comedy in a way in which only Sonny can. This is an evolution of Bourdain.

Really nice people! Good souls.
I've always wanted to go on culinary cross-country trip. Despite being an Indian, there's so little that I've actually tasted of our own offerings... it's unfortunate, really.
Edit: Watching Sonny enjoy Pitha is such a joy! I haven't had homemade pitha in so long, what with being away from home for almost 2 decades. I'm so jealous!
The fact that we get free videos on UA-cam by Sonny is truly a gift. 👍👍👍
