One recommendation would be to to discuss the best value in terms of group set types, for example, what’s the best value for electronic groupsets as well as for mechanical groupsets, nothing that can’t be deduced from the spreadsheet. Did you? I did in 2022 and it was the best bike decision I’ve ever made! I got 45mm deep farsport wheels with an internal width of 24mm and I run 28-30 tires and it’s super comfy, stiff and fairly light.

I would say the foil is the perfect all rounder had a 2020 addict rc not very comfy struggled to maintain speed on the flats not bad on the hill I now have a 2021 foil what a bike comfy very fast on the flats and it flys up hills excellent allroad bike

Hello, I think there is one mistake. The Carbon HMX is only on the Top bikes used for frame and fork. most of the other bikes used HMX for the fork and the HMF for the frame. I love your Videos. 👍
Hi Thomas - just double checked that, the Addict RC seems to be HMX frame & fork across the range - the Addict is HMF across the range - what I have got wrong is that Foil below the PRO is HMF carbon on the frame, can't believe I missed that, thanks for pointing it out. Never ceases to amaze me all the combinations and how difficult it is to stay on top of it all!!
Bikotic, been cycling a bit now on a cube hybrid bike, looking at purchasing a giant TCR advanced pro 1 disk. So price range of 3.5 to 4k mark. My first full road bike if you will. Any chance if looking at it against some similar type competitors. Thanks

does it include bars?? not sure if you would get it for the budget, but mechanical Dura Ace (Ultegra if too much), Winspace Hyper wheels, Prologo Scratch saddle...maybe! Will be interested to see what you come up with

I just bought a Scott Addict 10 2020 for only 2099€...so cheap and thats just because it is an 2020 Model...the bike Community and industry is so stupid 😅
I got one lightly used for not much more. Love it, but there are a couple of stupid issues, like lack of grease on steerer bearings or that horrible 2 piece handlebar cable routing. I ordered a knock off handlebars from Ali, just for shits and giggles 😁

Hi, thanks! - that bike has pretty heavy alloy wheels on it, so will benefit from lighter, more aero wheels for sure. It comes down to personal preference, do you want to up grade that bike or put the money towards a higher specced bike.....are you sticking with rim brakes - if so new wheels are a good investment as they will fit on your next bike - the catch with carbon wheels on a rim brake bike is the brake track gets worn over time, but we are talking years with normal use, plus carbon rims and rim brakes in the wet aren't great - definitely use the correct brake pads...be sure to get some top end tyres, they make a massive difference! Good luck.

4:28 I have never seen ANYONE do a frame/bike comparison like this “fading” back and forth between the frames. Like you, I find the Scott nomenclature very confusing and , well, lazy! Although I am writing this in 2025, I am considering buying a Scott (I had an Addict RC back in 2010) when it was their only road-race bike in their bike family.
l don t succumb to the more you spend the so much better you get theory of bike buying so a basic ADDICT with disc brakes would do just fine since l already have rim brake bikes :) DON T GET ME WRONG l d love to try any 6kg road bike for a year but l d never put out to the $$$ for one even if l won the lottery !!
not very lightweight anywhere.. sram red 11000 bike, supposedly lightweight bike is 6.9?? with pedals and other gadgets its mid 7-s ... scotts look nice though that is true
for looks I give the scott 9 or 10... they arent light and id have to see some tests on aerodynamics (doubts on that also)- the seatstays arent very deep (compared to canyon aeroad for example), same thing with downtube
Very well done. However, these BRANDS do not seem give as much value for price as Canyon, Rose or even Giant. So if u are not fuzzy about Brands (Scott is okay) ....but for sure you may find a perfect or decend speced Biked elsewhere....

The geometry of the Ribble bike is anything but Endurance. Excellent value, but they're race bikes for anyone interested.

Syncros RP2.0 are above 1,710g. Awful wheels.
