- These are the 'Top 50 K-Pop Songs for May 2016 (Week 2).' It is a K-Pop chart where you, the fans, vote for your Top 10 Favourite Songs each week. You have the power to choose which K-Pop songs are the very best!

Rules for the chart:
1. All new entries will debut at the beginning of the chart, unless they have already received points from fan votes. This is so that they don't infringe on what the fans have voted for in the previous week.
2. Each week you can rank your Top 10 K-Pop Songs in order of which songs you like the most. So rank your favorite song as #1, and one of your lesser favorites as #10.
3. The position you give them will be converted into points. A song you rank as your #1 favorite will receive 10 points, while a song that is ranked #10 will receive 1 point.
4. If your votes are not ranked from 1 to 10, I will assume that you like all of those songs equally and will award them an equal share of points. You duplicate songs in your list will be ignored.
5. All of the fan votes are totalled, and the songs are sorted from most points to least points.
Rules for voting:
1. Vote for no more than 10 songs please.
2. When a song has spent 12 weeks on the chart, it will automatically fall off in the next week.
3. A song that has been #1 for 3 weeks will suffer a penalty to its points total. This penalty grows by 5% each week it remains at #1 (15% on Week 4, 20% on Week 5, etc). The penalty will be removed when the songs base points no longer place it at #1.
4. A "GOLD SONG" is a song that has either:
- Spent at least 1 week in the Top 10.
- Been on the chart for over 8 weeks.
5. A "PLATINUM SONG" is a song that has either:
- Debuted in the Top 10.
- Spent at least 1 week in the Top 5.
- Stayed in the Top 10 for at least 3 weeks.
6. A "HOT ENTRY" is a song that has entered the chart within the Top 30.
7. A "HOT DEBUT" is a song from a debut group that's entered the chart within the Top 30.

For all the people complaining about BTS hogging the charts.. it's not something you can control. Whats the use of calling yourself an ARMY if you don't vote for them and stay loyal to them. Just like when Exo-ls vote for Call Me Baby, when IGOT7's vote for Fly and when ONCE's vote for Cheer up. Its the same for every group! Fans stay loyal to their bias group, its already in the nature of kpop. In fact in the nature of global music!
And for some people, Fire and Young Forever are really good songs so its not their fault for voting BTS. So please.. fandoms and fandoms, let us stop bickering with each other and support whoever you want. We need kpop to be a healthy genre with peaceful fans and fandoms.

No matter how much people get angry at Bangtan being on top I am really proud of fellow armys for setting a new record for our boys. Their comeback is amazing and it deserves all the best!

It was their passion in their dancing and in their songs which attracted people and made them their fan... and you know the good thing about being a BTS fan? it is that you can have fun yet all their songs will inspire you to believe in your dreams and work for them :')

Why is it so hard for people to understand that people ARE voting for our favorite song? So what if BTS is someone's favorite group AND they sing their favorite song? "They only listen to BTS" okay and is that a problem? NO. As long as its their favorite song, or heck even as long as people WANT to vote for them, anyone has the right to vote for whoever they want. If you don't like that, fine, but you're gonna have to get over it and just continue to love the songs you love and vote for the songs YOU think are best, and I'll continue to do that same. +Yuuki To. I'm going to preface this by saying it's not intended in any way as an attack, just something to think about~ :D
As someone who does not identify as a fan of BTS, I can say that I do not hate the group at all - in fact, they have some really good songs out! And I think, based on people I speak to online and irl, very few "BTS haters" actually hate BTS. Our problem lies with fans who go to every other group's videos and talk about BTS when there's literally no reason to. We don't hate the group, we're just annoyed with the fandom. It's great to support your favorite groups, but when you shove that group in everyone else's face 24/7 it can only be expected that people will get frustrated and start spewing hate.
Again I would like to emphasize that THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK. I do not intend to insult or belittle anyone or their favorite groups, and if something in my message comes across as aggressive or rude absolutely tell me, as I did not at all mean for it to appear that way! I'd love to see all the hate stop between ARMYs and everyone else, and I wrote this only in pursuit of a more peaceful, unified KPop community ^^ I'd love to hear some other opinions if someone wants to chat!

Sun Hyrin It's okay, I know what you mean. But you know, BTS is a rising group and so is the fandom. One/Two years ago BTS was underrated and the most people didn't care about them. BTS is in a small company and they haven't the same chance as groups from SM/JYP/YG, who are even popular before their debut. You probably think, that you don't mean that. My point is just that it's exciting for Armys, now that they are famous. There are definitely Armys who have a disrespectful way to show it. Also their was a time where Exols, Vip and so on were everywhere.
But here for the charts. It really annoys us, because people keep on bashing Armys and BTS just because we vote for them and they are in No. 1 for a long time.
Why would people say that BTS should be handicap? Why are people evem annoyed because other people vote for them? Everyone have the same argument, when we try to defend our fandom and BTS with 'well Armys are everywhere and that's annoying'. Like two weeks ago. The most people say that Vixx deserve No. 1 not BTS, but who are they that can decide that? Vixx wasn't even on No. 2 (it was Block B, but no one said something about them). Thats why WE are annoyed. It's hard to look in the comments if this chart, because when BTS is on No. 1 there are also definitely harsh comments. Can you just congrat us and them? Can you just stop saying 'mean' things? What's wrong with voting for ur bais group I don't get it. People may not think its a good song but if other people do and they are bais to the group some people just bash them for voting for their bais group. I don't see the problem. My bais group is BTS and I love fire and forever young but I actually don't like save me that much so I probably won't vote for it to like top 5. But as being bais of that group I have grown to like nearly every single song on there albums. At the start I didn't but I love nearly all there song now because I have gotten used to them and I have gotten to love them more. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Some people complains because they think many BTS fans don't even listen other songs and write their groups songs on the top list without thinking. Yeah some people are like that and some people listen other songs but still like their groups better. I'm an ARMY for example, but I listen every single song on the chart and vote like that. Fire and Young Forever are not even in my top5. Do I stan AKMU? No. or History? No. but still I like those songs better and vote for them because they deserve success as much as BTS do. Can BTS songs be any other person's top2? HELL YEAH. Everyone has a different opinion. This is not the problem. The problem is the whole voting system here. These charts actually dosen't show how good those songs are, it shows how popular they are.
