      Thank you for all the new content!
      At 15:00 you mentioned Max… so just letting you know, there is a beautiful new song collaboration out between Max and Huh Yunjin from Le Sserafim (a female group from Hybe) which is called “Stupid in Love”. I would love to see your reaction to the stripped version 😊

    It makes total sense that Namjoon would start with lyrics and Yoongi with beats. Both of are geniuses and excel at both aspects but I feel Namjoon has a strong natural affinity for language(s) and an ability to grasp its intricacies while Yoongi has a gifted ear and does the same for sounds/music. They make for a powerful combination.

    I think you would enjoy watching the documentaries. They've gone into their creative process several times. I think specifically both Yoongi and Hobi's documentaries include them in the studio.

      Jimin's one also shows the production and lyrics process, maybe even more than the documentaries of the other members

    Yoongi starts with the beat first while Namjoon on lyrics, then just an addition, Jungkook starts with melody.

    You'd be suprised how people end up working with BTS. One of the songwriters for Black Swan wasn't even a professional songwriter. He was a consultant for McKinsey who did music on the side for himself. Somehow bighit's AR team found him and asked him to compose some melodies for black swan. They ended up using them and so his first ever official song writing credit for another artist was for Black Swan by BTS! What a flex! Even today he says he has no idea how they found him. So it's not always about connections or experience or pedigree. They just look for talent! Amazing. His name is Clyde Kelly and he's been interviewed about his involvement. Definitely look it up!

    Johnny, artists who have written for BTS have actually said that BTS or HYBE has randomly reached out to them to collaborate without any prior connections. So, there's always a chance!

    Jhope has a documentary on Amazon prime starting on 28th March. There’s an album that will go with the documentary. It’s based on dance and his journey with other dancers around the world. As you know Jhope was a street dancer before so we will get to see his beginnings and discover different genres of dance. He’s always showing respect either to rap or dance

    As always I love your reactions. Those Be behind interviews they did to each other are gold, they are like mini master clases on how they create and view music. So it’s a total must. Borahae

    5:38 this is a whole concert of the entire album (and then some) - but online. And it’s the same live performance for both nights, but they changed clothes - etc. so two day live online concerts.

    Oh my gosh, what you two said about j-hope as a mix of vocals and rap - - I am in agreement with our ARMY expert 😉 and slightly shocked it's been this long and you still haven't heard their longest charting song, Spring Day, which is referred to as "the queen" for its legendary status... Wow! Guys, it's spring in the northern hemisphere -- Spring Day has to get on the list. I would love 💜 your thoughts on the singing and melody.

    Also to add onto what they mentioned about members submitting their own demo recordings!! Their anthology album, Proof, has a disc with sooo many demo tracks that are CD-only (but thankfully they’re on UA-cam!). I think in the future it would be awesome to see you react to the Group Song vs Demo Song and give your input on why you think Bang PD and team chose the main track over the demo, or if you like the demo more, etc!
    And I wholeheartedly agree, you guys would LOVE watching some their documentaries. I think particularly for SUGA and Jhope! I also suggest watching SUGA’s Agust D D-Day tour screening :) I think you will enjoy it a LOT

    It seems that the most common method to create BTS songs is that they do the instrumental tracks first, and then people can write melodies over it. This can be anybody. The members, Big Hit's internal songwriters and producers, or external collaborators.
    We've seen many examples of this. Interviews with Western songwriters who were sent tracks and given briefs, so that they can write the melodies. The members' demos of their versions of some songs in their album "Proof". The behind-the-scenes for Jimin's FACE, where we see Jimin in action, improvising melodies on the spot over Pdogg's tracks.
    And of course, there's Suga's version of "Life Goes On", which wasn't selected as the final group version for the album "BE", but then he rearranged it and released it as a solo song in his album "D-Day", and which he performed beautifully in his concert as he played the piano. (An idea! Maybe you could react to both versions of "Life Goes On" in one reaction video.)
    =================
    As for their albums. Because they create concept albums, they start with the concept first. We are lucky that they shared the creation process of their pandemic album "BE", starting with their initial concept meeting. In the meeting, the members discussed the overall theme, the number of songs including how many unit songs, possible keywords for these songs. It might be interesting to react to the video of this meeting.
    I imagine they go through a similar process for their other albums (involving Big Hit's producers as well because they've mentioned that they plan their albums with the label). RM talked about how, for "Love Yourself: Answer", they designated three solo rap songs with three different keywords, and the rapline decided together who would do which keyword, and I think at one point two of them switched keywords with each other.
    For FACE, Jimin said in Suchwita, "For this album, I was clear about having four songs and knew what kind of vibe I wanted them to have, starting with the first song." So maybe there's something like that for their group albums as well, people having ideas about the vibes for certain songs.
    ===============
    Fun fact: Suga said that when they were working on "Map of the Soul:7", he submitted two beats for the designated rapline song, and the beat for "Ugh" was selected. The other beat he saved for himself and created "Daechwita" with it.
    ===============
    That's about the song composition. As for lyrics, BTS writes 90% of their own lyrics. Even if external collaborators send lyrics along with the melody, the lyrics are almost always replaced by the lyrics written by the members themselves. The exceptions are their fully-English songs (BTS's English trilogy and V's and JK's songs for their solo albums).
    ===============
    When I see a list of people credited as songwriters in a BTS song, based on what little I know above, I usually assume that the Western names in it wrote the melodies, the Big Hit producers mentioned created the tracks, and the members mentioned wrote the lyrics and probably some of the melodies. In reality, it's not always like this, of course, but these are usually my initial assumptions.

    RM or Suga usually discuss BTS albums track-by-track, talking about fun facts about the songs. Suga did their early albums and RM did their later albums. For the Map off the Soul series, the videos are:
