Thanks Jade's Plans. I'm going to try the retractable black. Would like to see the proper black as I've only used the one Cindy describes in this video.
Hello Jade's Plans. Just wanting you to know that I bought the black pens with the white/clear eraser as well as the retractable pens, and I did not find them to be proper black black. Also, I reached out the JetPens as I've been purchasing from them frequently. I asked if Pilot uses the same ink, black and colored, for all the FriXion pen lines. I was told that they do, so there would be no difference in the richness or vibrancy in any of the pens. I compare all inks that I try with either the Pentel EnerGel or Uni-ball Signo gel inks (these I highly recommend), and I have yet to find any that equal or surpass the rich and vibrant colors found with these two gel inks.
Same! And I love that they don't smudge as badly as Flair pens or G-2's. I'm very heavy handed as well. With these pens I dont need to care about what I'm writing. I can just write, since I know I can erase.
The ink is best letting dry a moment before "erasing". I like them but then knowing that really the ink is still there, it just goes clear with heat. Get the paper cold enough and it comes back. I've seen some use them to mark fabric since an iron with make color go.
I've been using these for 7 or 8 years, but ONLY for sewing/quilting. It's perfect for marking on fabric and the hot iron makes all the marks disappear. As for using it for writing on paper, I never have liked these
"it would drive me THE.FUCK.NUTS" and this my love is why I am subscribed. Also... for the disappearing act it did in the horror-car story, home girl coulda popped her planner in the fridge and resolved that shit LOL try it, i swear. cold makes it come back.
I love them. MUCH better than dealing with tons of white-out....and I've left my planner in the car and not lost info. The ink doesn't rub off as easily as pencil mark does either. My only complaint is I'd like to have a multi-color version in the .7mm and not just the tiny .5mm.
Hahaha :-D I used to hate them with a passion, too, but then I discovered I really like using them in Sudokus and other crossword-puzzles, but that in my opinion, still is the only right for them to exist in my world ;-)
Probably already in the comments, but the ones I have need a minute or two to dry for the erasable part to work well. I also like that they don't bleed through anything? No pen test page needed, just get to writing and forget about bleed through. I have zero tolerance for shadowing, much less actual bleed through, so these seem to work on all planners, no matter how thin.
I really like Frixion, but my preference is the .05 retractable in blue. I have so much forward planning to do in my job that a Frixion in my work planner is essential...meetings get changed, appointments rescheduled so it serves my purpose there. There's a shit ton of colors on JetPens and I am pretty sure I have them all.
Hey Valerenta. I think they're great tools for teachers, especially black, blue, and red as these are the common ink colors they use in school for general work and grading/correcting papers. I think they're a bad idea for students though. Learners should be able to refer to their work, correct and incorrect answers alike, so they can always refer back to and have an account of an answer they gave. You learn from your mistakes too. Keeping work in place can also aid in determining areas where a student may need more help with. I bring this up because I was contemplating buying these pens for my granddaughter just because I think she'd find them cool, but considering it more, it's definitely a bad idea in my opinion. Your comment got me thinking; thank you.
I have some frixion pens, but I only really use them in my Rocketbook (reusable notebook that also does the thermo thing). I worked at a dumb place for a while that wouldn't let us have paper at our desks, and as a chronic doodler the white board markers we were allowed were just too chunky for sketching, so the rocketbook with frixion pens was a lifesaver. I think it works better with the rocketbook and other similar things because it doesn't really indent like on regular paper, so it erases smoother and you can also wipe it off with water. Also, my rocketbook came with a clicky black pen, so they are available. (i prefer it to the capped ones too)
I actually really love the ball knock pens, the ink dries very quickly, and with (a little) use, my black pen has gotten substantially less streaky. They are great pens for lefties or for people that take notes quickly and end up screwing up!
I actually bought these over a year ago, but I got them because they're good for marking on fabric when sewing. Since they erase with heat, you can just iron over the spot you marked and it disappears.
Hi! I guess you have a damaged or wrong set of pens. I have the 24 colors set of the exact same type of frixions. The colors are much smoother, and consistent. The frixion thing could be better, because the shadow that you see, is always there, and when I try to rewrite on the paper, it's a bit lett smooth (I guess because there is already a layer of ink there). On thinner papers, like the tomoe river paper, the frixion method leaves some crinkles and I always worried that it is actually damage the paper. I also tried and the frixion can and does erase the other side of the paper too. So that is an issue. If you dont press too hard, it wont I guess. These pens needs patience I guess :) I like them, and I use them, but with limitations ofc.
In regards to the paper getting wrinkled, I find that the trick of it is not to rub hard (although this can also remove the ink). If you place two fingers, one on the left and right of what you're about to erase, and run the eraser tip left and right consistently but not hard, the ink will disappear minus the wrinkles/tearing. I'm still relatively new to FriXion pens and I haven't damaged paper yet.
I like my Frixion pens but I have not tried the gel version. I have the clickable ones, markers and highlighters. Sadly the highligters don't seem to erase well.
I have an ultramarine blue frixion pen I got from Jet Pens and I love it. Yeah, I can understand why you say it's not the pen for you because of the way you write with lots of pressure. I find my pen very smooth but I don't bare down very hard and it glides across the paper. I just found you and I really like your style. Thanks. :D
You also can't use them if you're heavy handed IMO and the eraser does leave some smutz on the page. I love them, but I have to adjust how I write when using them.
Yes they are streaky and not very vibrant but I still use them. I have an EC hourly at work where I like to mark my meetings so I know how much available time I actually have in the day. Meetings change all the time and if I cross off it removes the visibility of meeting time versus real work time. So I use frixion. They survive the week, which is enough for me. I don't care if my week from 3 months ago gets deleted in a heat wave.
I also use Frixions for marking lines in quilting. The marks disappear with any sort of heat, like an iron or even in a really hot car (I live in Phoenix). If this happens by mistake, just put your planner/quilt/whatever in the freezer (or outside if you live in a place that actually has winter) for a few minutes, and the marks will return.
I'm sad. I have been wary of this stick version I saw at Target, but the ones I get from Amazon are way better! I have both .7 and .5 mm clicky pens, highlighters and markers. I use nothing else cuz I'm originally a pencil girl (Dixon Ticonderoga #2 ONLY!) and automatically erase when I fuck up or don't like my writing. 😜 The erase experience is much better in my experience but I'm not heavy handed. 🤷🏻♀️
I love your review! Honestly, I am a HUGE fan of using the Frixion Clicker and the Frixion highlighters in my Jibun Techo. The erasable feature is so helpful in adjusting my schedule when something new comes up. Plus, I am a whiteout abuser, like my planner pages were distended with whiteout. I don't use them for everything; you really need to be selective with them.
I bought them because i thought theyd be good for school. Hated them. The colours werent what i liked and streaky for sure for all of them. When erasing they left a bit of yellow or neon like colour behind. Hard to see but i notice it. Also the eraser messed up on me n couldnt erase without smearing the ink rather than making it disappear. After it smeared it couldnt erase afterwards. Also ink runs out so fast!! D:
Is your paper slightly glossy? I noticed I was writing on 28 lb paper with a slight gloss to it that it didn't write as well as say notebook paper. I use them in my bujo, Rocketbook, and whatever kind of paper I have around. All that to say, paper type does matter.
These pens are great for sewing. A hot iron will disappear your ink, but you have to plan it out. if you need to iron, but keep your mark for a while, it can be a problem. So really, they are great for sewing in certain situations.
Yep. I didn't know that heat "erases" the ink until I left my planner in my car one day only to find all writing had disappeared. I almost cried. Thankfully, I am heavy-handed enough that the indents were still there, so I re-wrote everything with a gel pen. I loved the idea of being able to erase a mistake or something that was cancelled, but NEVER AGAIN. Also, they skip like crazy, and that's just not cool.
I have a friend who lost chunks of journal entries from that. Live in the south. The heat is real. Wish i had thought to tell her to put in freezer. I liked that the black looked grey
What if you leave the pen in the hot car? Does the ink lose its color? Also, the person who said the color comes back if you stick the notebook or whatever in the freezer, I could see how that could be problematic if you erase and write over it and then go outside in the cold.
I totally agree with your comments. We use them at the office but we do not allow anyone to used them for any official document because they will fade with the time, the light, the heat from copier, scan or simply the sun from the windows! Give them the time and it will fade leaving you with a shadow of your writting. This is not only true for the pilot, any friction pen react like this (so far from our experience). It is probably the property of the ink itself. But I still like them went drafting thing...or when doing my sudoku or crossword :)
I really like the one Bic erasable pen I tried. I don't usually need an erasable one. I like the Gelocity better because it's not erasable. My dad would love the erasable one, though. I don't leave indentations. The fact the gel pens don't need a heavy hand is why I like them. And I prefer one that's not quite as wet.
Also again (ADHD kicked in today LOL) the residue is the most annoying part to me because if I'm going to erase I want to be able to write over it again and the funky residue does make it harder to write over. Annoying.
Hey Kristen M. After reading your comment, I wrote my name, a 9-letter word, six times in the colors I currently have. I allowed the ink to sit for 10 seconds and erased them all, then wrote my name again directly on top of each spot. I was able to write perfectly each time. If you happen to like these pens, may I suggest you allow, if you haven't, at least 6 to 10 seconds of drying time before you attempt to erase. I would also recommend that you run your finger over the spot after erasing to get rid of the residue, just as one would if using pencil, then try again. I think you might have a better go at it this time around.
It does help - you're right, rubbing over it after you erase makes it better. I've used these pens for almost a decade and still love and use them, but I do know there are issues and wanted to bring it up. I also think the residue issues are probably different on different kinds of paper.
I love these pens. I use them for homework/notes. I don't mind the lightness of the colors. I also don't mind the light shadows it leaves behind after erasing. I hated whiteout as a kid and still do. I have tried just about every style of the Frixion brand and I love the Ball Knock Biz the best in black with a .5 mm tip. I chose this pen because it doesn't look like an erasable pen because the eraser tip is hidden by a screw-able cap. 10/10 for me. I also use them at work for basic paperwork. Since my paperwork never leaves the office I don't feel bad using them.
I'm so happy to share the iron grip with someone! I write super hard and have a permanent writers callous on my ring finger. Yup...ring finger. Because I never held a pen/pencil right by 'normal" standards.
I use the Pilot Frixion Ball pens and have never had an issue with them being streaky or disappearing in the heat. And I live in Queensland, Australia. It's PROPER HOT here. Then again, I wouldn't leave my planner in the car and I wouldn't use them to sign anything official, just in case. You definitely can't press super hard with these though. The ink erases but the indentation is left
erasable pens are great for planners when you're "penciling" tasks and schedules. i hate having to use correction tapes or scribbling off items so i love my frixion pen.
I really like the Frixion clicker fine point pens! All that Cindy said about the Color Stick pens is true, but I love the ability to erase rather than cross out! I DO NOT use these when writing checks or for the outside of envelopes -especially those I'm going to mail! - because the ink will disappear over time if exposed to sun, heat, etc.
I use them exclusively for my checkbook/bookkeeping. I would never use them in my planner but being able to erase (albeit imperfectly) in my checkbook is awesome.
The highlighters and markers are awesome. I can highlight too much so it's it's nice to remove. I am not a fan of the pencil type of frixion that you used. They have some nicer pens that erase way better.
Love the frixion clicker pens in 0.5- all colors! I have the full set in the sticks you tested- they are a little 'goopy' at times unlike the clickers. I also love the erasable highlighters!!!
I used to write headers with them on some of my notebooks in junior year, but when I opened again those notebooks in senior year, the headers where gone HAHAHAHAHAH
I experience a lot of fade out, in my old pages, I barely could read it. For example in March i start using them, and i like them, but now if I go back to those pages, they are faded.
I've not had the issue with my planner and the ink disappearing. I've LOOOOOVED my pens for years but will say that it actually REappears after awhile so .... give a little take a little. I'm trying to be more open to using pens w my planner. And it's ALWAYS streaky TBH.
I am finally getting around to this video which you’ve mentioned more times than I can count. I love my Frixion stick pens and retractable ones. I have the Frixion markers and Frixion highlighters. As a third grade teacher, these are fabulous. Plans change a lot during the week. Sometimes I draw arrows. Having the option to erase in my teacher planner is lovely. My teacher planner stays at school so hot cars don’t worry me. However, it’s not just cars to worry about. I heated my lunch up and set it down on my planner. After lunch, I discovered I didn’t have my math and social studies plans for the afternoon. 🤦🏻♀️ I do use my Frixion pens for one thing in my personal planner though. They are perfect for writing the weather forecast. I want to write those in and it hurts to see the temp change and I have to white out again and again. This is where I think these pens shine. Erase and rewrite the high/low. Thanks for the video!
Thr clicker ones are better. I got these to and noticed they do streak alot. Hobby lobby and i have seen walmart have the blue clicker but you have to buy a pack of black pens to even get the blue clicker fixion pen
If you haven't already tried them I recommend the papermate inkjoy gel. I recently discovered them and I love them! I have some Frixion ball clicker pens.. I like them! But I had NO clue that was how they erased. Now I want to use a blow dryer on something I write... lol. I think these write smoothly and they seem to erase really well. I honestly bought them because I liked the look and colors lol.
Ok I had to do a test on mine lol. They didn't really skip any but if I went in a squiggly line the ink would leave a darker dot at times. When erasing it did leave a little shadow.. I never noticed before lol. It really wasn't bad.. probably only noticed because I was looking. And you're right there is a residue.. but I wrote over it to test and it wrote fine. I just use mine for lists and stuff lol
I got these to use in my bullet journal for school because syllabi are notorious for changing. The thing that I hate the most of this is the gel smears really bad.
In my experience they streak and aren't as vibrant, just like you experienced - maybe from the frixion from the ball rolling when you write?? I also store them in a penpot together with some pencils, so have had some graphite from the bottom of the pot rub off on the eraser part of the frixion pen, and then all of a sudden there was a big pencil smudge on my paper :S I left one of my pens in a hot area once, so when I tried to write with it again, it was almost colorless - so popped it in the freezer for a day or two which restored most of the color :)
I think that the streakiness partly comes from how hard you pess down on the paper when you write. Leaving the ink to dry for a minute before erasing would help you erase it better. I also know that the skinnier tips are less streaky and more vibrant :) I would recommend to look a bit more into a pen before making a review of it, because there's lots of different types of these! There's retractable clicker ones, and as i said, there's smaller tips as well.
Thank you! I just got some cheap erasable pens to try out and found the same issues. Might have shelled out for pilot's but looks like it's all the same.
I think you're pushing down a little hard with the frixions, I personally am really light-handed with those types of pens due to the streaking and dig marks in the paper.
Ribbed for her pleasure - that whole sequence was gold! I've had no luck with any gel pens - I write so hard I create valleys in the ink and divots in the paper. Killed a few fountain pen nibs, in my time. I use ballpoint refills in my Uni Style + Fit multi pens. I've only used the clicker FriXions - bought the Target teal-purple-Pink set, loathed them and passed them on with Planner gifts. But I'll still watch for Gel Thunderdome. And I believe that the ink is related to the same thermal dye process used by cash register receipts, so they fade with time.
that's really cool if that's where the ink comes from! I am also brutal on my pens, that's why I so often favor bolder tips. They seem to stand up better to the iron fist.
I got the clicker Frixion pens to use with a reusable notebook that was being created through Kickstarter. I was less than thrilled with them, both in terms of how they erased and how much pressure they took to erase the ink.
THE EVERLAST NOTEBOOK was a project on Indiegogo that I figured I would try since the buy-in was pretty small. It ended up being a book of about 20 pages with a finish similar to a whiteboard, where you can write with erasable markers. You then can scan the page you have written on into your computer, erase the page and start over. I was very disappointed in both the notebook and the Frixion pens. The pens had every fault you mentioned, and barely left readable marks on the notebook surface. They also erased poorly, so that I was sure that if I used the page a few times, the remainders of the ink would hinder the legibility of new notes. It was an interesting idea, but was very poorly executed.
I haven't tried that style of Frixion pen but I do have the Frixion Clicker 07. Judging by the video, the Clicker ink seems a little more vibrant but not that popping "holy shit, the colors!" kind of vibrant. It also has a smoother place for your finger to rest while using it. Still some streaking when you first use it, but only for a second from what I've noticed. It does need to dry a bit, so probably not a good choice for left handed folks. Also it erases better after it dries down but you'll get a bit of a shadow depending how long it's been. I mostly use these in my planner and my crochet project planner. Not a good one to use for important things that need your signature or something due to that heat thing. I picked mine up at Fred Meyer after initially only seeing them inside the Uwajimaya stationery shop. If I remember correctly, the packs come in twos - purple and green, black, and blue. I don't remember seeing a red but I could have missed it. They didn't have a big set with all the colors although that doesn't mean there isn't one out there somewhere. I think I paid about $4 for the two pack.
I have the retractable versions of these but I use them in only two books - address book & password book. I think the retractable version has a better black than the capped pens (at least it looks like that to me based on your example). Your capped version black looks like my retractable black when it's run out of ink. S. Florida is too hot to be using that in my agenda or notebook, especially since I leave it in my car sometimes when running into a store or something. I use TŪL pens for everything that doesn't need to have regular changes(password & address). & like you, I just cross out any mistakes in my agenda or use a sticker to cover it 🤷🏽♀️
Frixion is taken to the next level when you combine it with the reusable paper (wet wipe) of Rocketbook. It takes it from the erasable of mistake making to the infinite reusable.
That's the first way I used them, but I honestly really hated the rocketbook (although I just bought the planner one lol). I prefer using them on normal paper
With all the comuntion on these pens, I was curious so I bought my first 3 in a package in blue. (The erasable clicker)?. I was using one with my planner. The ink only lasted one month. Just writing in my planner. I think it was to soon. Also I thought the color(blue) would be darker. I will try other styles, perhaps they will last longer.
I use the Pilot Frixion Ball pen and LOVE it! I am not heavy handed when writing in my planner though so I think that makes a difference. I hate whiteout so I would rather use the Frixion for my messy planning. I made the mistake of grabbing a non-erase pen to write something down that I now need to change....UGH! 😕
I'm not a fan either. The black isn't nearly as rich as Pilot G2 ink, but I get that some like the erasable option. I've got an iron fist, too. My note paper would curl and my writing was practically Braille from the force I used with a standard rollerball ink pen. Gel pens are a godsend for a heavy hand!
I have pens, markers and highlighters. These helped me start bujoing without getting hung Up on making mistakes. Now I just don't care, but 3.5 years ago? Life savers
You cracki me up...lol...that being said I absolutely love the retractable .5 Frixion! Also I have found that the longer the ink has dried the better they erase, which is kind of weird but that's my finding. Haven't tried the version you have and they don't look as good as my beloved .5 retractable!
I only use the clicker version now for teaching (especially useful in teaching math), but I've yet to have any of the problems you had here. You're definitely writing harder than I do, I rarely leave indents like that, so it's understandably easier to remove ink that hasn't been pushed into a dip in the paper. As a product, it's a great pencil alternative for folks like myself who have arthritis in their hands. Even in my first year of college at 18 I had arthritis in my hands and fortunately had a great biology professor recommend using ball point pens instead of pencils because the drag of the pencil increases tension in the hands, and ultimately color coding things became the best way for me to keep notes organized. I can only imagine how much paper I could've saved with these, but fortunately the next generation of students won't have that waste. No, you can't leave things in your car unless you can then put them into the freezer (cold restores the visibility of the ink, one of the reasons why you have to use caution when using these for sewing markings), but leaving your planner in the car with stickers and washi that could be ruined, not to mention often important life info that could lead to your identity being stolen, is not a good idea to begin with. I hope you've learned techniques to have a lighter hand today because over gripping like that leads to a specific kind of arthritis that makes basic gripping of even more critical things like clothing items more difficult according to my previous physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons who did work on my hands.
Everything you mentioned is definitely true, but for me personally I just don't like the way pencil feels when I need to do math problems or something that erasing is necessary. I still appreciated the feeling of smoothness when writing with these pens, but never used them in my bullet journal. Only on assignments when I was in school. THE OTHER THING is that they do not have a lot of ink in them. I went through at least three of them in ONE SEMESTER! WHAT So there are positives and negatives. Thanks for your review though, I feel like people don't talk about the negatives enough.
I use these in my monthly layout for upcoming months so then when I go to plan & decorate my month, I can erase & then make it pretty in permanent ink & to match my color scheme I go with... it's just easier for me than trying to use post it's all over my planner.. they're not my favorite but fun to use like I do. 😁📒🖊
If you leave it in a hot car and the ink vanishes, just toss it in the freezer. It comes right back. However, if you corrected words it will bring back all those corrections and originals. Something to think about… I prefer the felt tip markers. Also, write your friend a letter, hot blow dry it, then write on it, ‘place this in the freezer for 15 minutes’, …so your friend can read your hidden letter. Fun!
They help with my commitment issues in my planner :) retractable ones though with the clear eraser, they're not streaky and are a proper black black.
Thanks Jade's Plans. I'm going to try the retractable black. Would like to see the proper black as I've only used the one Cindy describes in this video.
Ali I hope you like them, they are great for me :)
I compare all inks that I try with either the Pentel EnerGel or Uni-ball Signo gel inks (these I highly recommend), and I have yet to find any that equal or surpass the rich and vibrant colors found with these two gel inks.
I agree. The Japanese made ones are way better than the us made pens.
I've seen some use them to mark fabric since an iron with make color go.
thank you for the tips Wendy
Yea~ i watch a fabric channel on youtube and they now use frixion pens to mark the fabric used in the video.
I agree with you Wendy Bowman. If you allow it to dry for a moment, the color disappears fairly well.
I've been using these for 7 or 8 years, but ONLY for sewing/quilting. It's perfect for marking on fabric and the hot iron makes all the marks disappear. As for using it for writing on paper, I never have liked these
Liz Gehr holy shit, best idea ever
Great suggestion, thank you.
"it would drive me THE.FUCK.NUTS" and this my love is why I am subscribed. Also... for the disappearing act it did in the horror-car story, home girl coulda popped her planner in the fridge and resolved that shit LOL try it, i swear. cold makes it come back.
hahahahahah thank you
I love them. MUCH better than dealing with tons of white-out....and I've left my planner in the car and not lost info. The ink doesn't rub off as easily as pencil mark does either. My only complaint is I'd like to have a multi-color version in the .7mm and not just the tiny .5mm.
I am absolutely in love with frixion pens especially the clickers
Hahaha :-D I used to hate them with a passion, too, but then I discovered I really like using them in Sudokus and other crossword-puzzles, but that in my opinion, still is the only right for them to exist in my world ;-)
Probably already in the comments, but the ones I have need a minute or two to dry for the erasable part to work well. I also like that they don't bleed through anything? No pen test page needed, just get to writing and forget about bleed through. I have zero tolerance for shadowing, much less actual bleed through, so these seem to work on all planners, no matter how thin.
ooh nice idea! I am totally going to get one for crosswords and for my dad and inlaws who are all into their crosswords and sudokus
Ennor Wingfield I think anyplace you do
my friends dad is the vice prez of frixon
The clicker ones are much nicer. I first got the ones you have and they were ok but the clicker ones, for some reason, are much better.
I really like Frixion, but my preference is the .05 retractable in blue. I have so much forward planning to do in my job that a Frixion in my work planner is essential...meetings get changed, appointments rescheduled so it serves my purpose there. There's a shit ton of colors on JetPens and I am pretty sure I have them all.
yeah, it seems like retractable are the business 🤔
I love Frixion pens so much. They are a must for teachers. I need to be able to erase when I'm grading! But I don't use them when I'm planning.
that makes sense!
As a teacher you have to grade with a biros, because marks mustn't be erasable.
valerenta it’s all fun and games until one of your students gets a frixion pen and erases the grading and gives themself a better grade
(i prefer it to the capped ones too)
Seriously "ribbed for her pleasure" 😂😂😂
I actually really love the ball knock pens, the ink dries very quickly, and with (a little) use, my black pen has gotten substantially less streaky. They are great pens for lefties or for people that take notes quickly and end up screwing up!
Thermonuclear pens... Can you imagine 😂
When you test them in the thunderdome you should take your heat tool to them and see if they disappear
if you stick the erased part in the freezer it comes back
Shellina Mitchell omg does it actually!? Have you tested it that’s the question 🤔
@@soph5644 it does.
@@soph5644 it definetely does...
Damn
Yes I have and yes it does
I actually bought these over a year ago, but I got them because they're good for marking on fabric when sewing.
These pens needs patience I guess :) I like them, and I use them, but with limitations ofc.
thank you so much for all of the information!
Thanks. :D
Using them in Scotland is never going to be a problem as it doesn't get hot enough for the ink to disappear! 😜 xxx
The streakiness is exactly why I stopped using these pens....... nah man... couldn't do it anymore!!
I find them more vibrant and a great alternative when compared to colored pencils which I happen to like using.
I also use Frixions for marking lines in quilting. The marks disappear with any sort of heat, like an iron or even in a really hot car (I live in Phoenix). If this happens by mistake, just put your planner/quilt/whatever in the freezer (or outside if you live in a place that actually has winter) for a few minutes, and the marks will return.
the eggplant emoji in the back is giving me life
You’re absolutely hilarious😂😂 I didn’t even skip a second watching this
“Thermonuclear would be a bad idea” 😂
I love your review!
Honestly, I am a HUGE fan of using the Frixion Clicker and the Frixion highlighters in my Jibun Techo. The erasable feature is so helpful in adjusting my schedule when something new comes up. Plus, I am a whiteout abuser, like my planner pages were distended with whiteout.
I don't use them for everything; you really need to be selective with them.
These pens' ink might disappear only if the temperature get up to 140 degrees. But It takes a few seconds for the ink to appear if below 140 degrees
The way you say things are so humorous!!! I love it!!!!!
6:14 sometimes in transport they get too hot, that’s why they’re dull since heat is what washes them down, put them on the freezer for a while ;)
These pens are great for sewing.
I'm a bit late, but you could have stuck it in the freezer, and they would come back!!
A cool trick that I learned when my homework dissapeared, If you stick the paper in the fridge/freezer, the ink usually comes back
I love drawing with these. Griffin Gluck used these pens in the movie "Middle School: The Worst Years Of My Life".
So glad I found your channel, love the honesty ! 👍🏻
I wish people who do the crossword in the airplane magazines would use them. it's so irritating seeing the crossword already done.
"watch me grip, and watch me nae nae" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love your videos!!!
If the ink disappears in a hot car it completely reappears if you put it in the freezer :) I think this also works if you've simply erased it?? idk
Hello Cindy.
Is it just me or does the hand hurt when you are writing with the FriXion Clicker erasable Rollerball pen?
erasable pens are great for planners when you're "penciling" tasks and schedules. i hate having to use correction tapes or scribbling off items so i love my frixion pen.
I love love love my frixion clickers!!!!
I use them exclusively for my checkbook/bookkeeping. I would never use them in my planner but being able to erase (albeit imperfectly) in my checkbook is awesome.
now THAT is a bonus
I'm dying at your commentary - you literally crack me up!!!
I love using these for puzzles, and also for sewing - iron it and it's like brand new!
that's a great idea!!
The highlighters and markers are awesome. I can highlight too much so it's it's nice to remove. I am not a fan of the pencil type of frixion that you used. They have some nicer pens that erase way better.
The frixion ball knock kind are my absolute favs. The only pen I use in my planner or well anything anymore. Lol. They're the retractable ones.
I'm going to have to track down the retractable ones once I am done being irritated at these ones lol
Love the frixion clicker pens in 0.5- all colors! I have the full set in the sticks you tested- they are a little 'goopy' at times unlike the clickers. I also love the erasable highlighters!!!
I'm thinking I need to try the retractable ones
I used to write headers with them on some of my notebooks in junior year, but when I opened again those notebooks in senior year, the headers where gone HAHAHAHAHAH
Love using them when sewing, as I can mark the fabric and then the iron erases it.
I do use my Frixion pens for one thing in my personal planner though.
"Ribbed for her pleasure." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣You are too much!🤣🤣🤣
Right, she had me cracking up laughing watching this review.
I also store them in a penpot together with some pencils, so have had some graphite from the bottom of the pot rub off on the eraser part of the frixion pen, and then all of a sudden there was a big pencil smudge on my paper :S
I left one of my pens in a hot area once, so when I tried to write with it again, it was almost colorless - so popped it in the freezer for a day or two which restored most of the color :)
I have noticed that you need to wait a bit before erasing till the ink is fully dry...
Uhh anyone else notice the lil Eggplant in the background
No just me
Ok 👌
Dizzy’s World I did! 🙋🏼♀️🍆 need one!
Might have shelled out for pilot's but looks like it's all the same.
yeah, I have no idea if there are any, cheap or otherwise, that I would like.
I love these pens because I make a shit ton of mistakes in math and they really help me use less space when solving problems
They run out of ink within a week of constant high school use.
I got the clicker Frixion pens to use with a reusable notebook that was being created through Kickstarter. I was less than thrilled with them, both in terms of how they erased and how much pressure they took to erase the ink.
A reuseable notebook? What is this magic?
Hey the writing does disappear. Idk exactly why but I’ve had it happen to me but Idk why. Pretty depressing.
& like you, I just cross out any mistakes in my agenda or use a sticker to cover it 🤷🏽♀️
“Pencils are boring “
Kindergarten: HOW DARE YOU
Frixion is taken to the next level when you combine it with the reusable paper (wet wipe) of Rocketbook.
Do you like the Pilot Ink Joys?
The ink disappearing in your car isn’t a real issue for most, you just reduce the temperature enough and it’ll reappear
Hello everyone, do you know if this type of Frixion pen has refills available?
I have pens, markers and highlighters. These helped me start bujoing without getting hung Up on making mistakes. Now I just don't care, but 3.5 years ago? Life savers
I'm not a fan of pencil first (I'd rather scratch something out for some reason) so that might also flavor my feelings about these. haha
You cracki me up...lol...that being said I absolutely love the retractable .5 Frixion! Also I have found that the longer the ink has dried the better they erase, which is kind of weird but that's my finding. Haven't tried the version you have and they don't look as good as my beloved .5 retractable!
thanks for the tips! the retractable seems to be the favorite one
I didn't get into these until I tried using them for school notes. They're okay but I didn't like the streakiness either.
Love your honesty! They also fade really quickly too. I don't care for them.
💖💖💖
When these pens color sticks stop writing. Can they be fix or do you have to buy a new one
WHAT
So there are positives and negatives.
Fun!
IMO they're best for short-term use. They may be the best for signing documents but definitely not if you're going to sign documents *all day.*
