I will be donating as well, I am taking my classes online and it is a nightmare having to teach myself, I was just about to give up until I ran across your videos! You are the secret I wish everyone knew about! people are slipping on Bend Tutoring!! FRESH AIR!
Thank you for this vid! I was really struggling with complex fractions, constantly researching and studying yet I could still not get any further on the subject. Your video has such clear simple instructions that I can fully understand.
I was the 420th like :D thank you for all of your help. Taking college algebra this semester and your videos have been helping me a lot. There is a language barrier between my professor and my classmates--I am extremely thankful to have your help anytime VIA UA-cam. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!! Your intro makes me smile by the way. I love it. Great branding.
Explanation - Very Easy to Understand Examples - So Happy there were a lot and they were easy to try because of the step-by-step procedure said while doing it Accent - Makes it 100% more interesting, fun, and very catchy AMAZING! It helped so muc! Thanks so much! :)
I recently realized that complex (stacked) fractions were my downfall in Algebra. Algebra 2 was hell in high school because of it, and I just couldn't get past that certain point, killing any plans I had for advancing further. I finally decided after 40+ years to figure out my weak link, and this was it. After watching this video a couple of times, and actually working through the problems with you (a couple more times), I think I have a clue how this works now. I have one of my daughter's old high school Algebra books, I will pursue this with additional practice. THANK YOU for explaining it in a logical sequence of building block-style steps!!
You explained the concepts that are easy to understand. From 17:33 to 17:40, I thought the rule was to subtract the smaller exponents of the variables and simplify.
+Vincent Tye That's only true when the terms are all multiplying and dividing. Here the terms are also adding and subtracting. Therefore, those rules don't apply to this problem.
hi its me again, and thankyou for this video mr whitt i hope that i will remember this again tomorrow hahaha :).... and why is it so easy when i watching your videos .. but when my teacher give us a seat work why its so hard that i cant answer it sometimes hahahaha :D :D but i will do my best to understand it all tomorrow ... thanks thanks again mr. whitt god bless
Good luck and do your best! If you're having trouble retaining what you've learned, try practicing more problems once you understand the process. Thanks 4 watching!
+Fort Bend Tutoring today is my 1st periodical exam and I don't really understand our lesson, so I researched in the internet and there! Today I'm ready for the exam! I love it!
mate, for finding the lcd, you have to check if there is anything common in every denominator of every fraction of the whole complex? because what i usually do is to find the lcd of the numerator part and get another lcd for the denominator of the complex fraction.
TO FORT BEND TUTORING. I HAVE BEEN FAMILIAR WITH FRACTIONS SINCE THE THIRD I CONSIDERED MYSELF EXPERIENCED IN ALL DIFFERENT TECHIQUES RELATED TO SOLVING VARIOUS KINDS OF FRACTIONAL PROBLEMS. I AM NOT ABLE SOLVINGLY TO TRANSFER FROM FRACTIONAL PROBLEM SOLVING TO ALGEBRAIC TECHNIQUES USING THE SAME FORMATES FOR SOLVING ALGEBRA. COMPLEX PROBLEMS.
Help 6/7-1/77 2/35 +1/7 , the teacher said that after distributing i need to faCTOR THE ANWER of the distribution ? my lcd is 385, accourding to google !! how do i solve for this problem ?
im confused with the common denominator.... on question 8 u say y(y-1) is the common denominator. the way i see it is if u multiply it it becomes Y squared(y-2).... i got lost in these steps
Just wanted you to know that I'm hanging in there. Not asking for any help because I will seek out the reasonings later (I respect that you are very busy); IJS just in case you are interested/curious. I can "understand" everything in this video except these two concepts: #5: I don't get why x^2 - 1 is "treated as" a difference of two squares, nor do I yet "get" the idea of "factoring out a negative" in the denominator " (the last thing you said in regards to problem #6). Just bragging a little I guess that I "get" everything else though. Just checking in. Just showing gratitude.
I will be donating as well, I am taking my classes online and it is a nightmare having to teach myself, I was just about to give up until I ran across your videos! You are the secret I wish everyone knew about! people are slipping on Bend Tutoring!! FRESH AIR!

+SwagmeysterGames Wow! Thanks so much 4 the support! :-) Lefties rule! lol
at 6:05 should the x variables not be x^3 - x^4 ie x to the minus 1 ?
They could be written that way, but it's customary to write variables without negative exponents in your solution.
@@FortBendTutoring Thank you for your swift reply, there's a lot to learn and I thoroughly enjoy your videos.
around 8:56. is it fine to not distribute the 3x^2 for the final answer
It's most likely better to distribute the 3x^2. It's still left to the author, text or teacher to determine which version they are looking for.
thank you fbt now I understand math a little better now
+Cool Man You're very welcome! Thanks 4 watching!

Our pleasure Calvin!
Do you have a video explaining how you changed the exponents into fractions for problem number 9?
in 8:50 why does 3x squared, times x-1 can't be multiplied ?
+JaReb XP It can be multiplied. Depending on the author or instructor this answer is fine without any further simplification.
Mr Witt, what kind of electronic notebook are you using? Where are they available? Thanks.

Hello Louise! It’s definitely something that requires plenty of exposure and practice. Continue to work at it and you’ll get better at it. 👨🏾🏫😁
You are very clear on your teaching ,, but you go a little bit too fast , hard to catch up , otherwise you are great!
Ok, we'll keep that in mind!
Was exactly what I was going to say.
If you ever decide on FBT t shirts, let me know. I would proudly wear one.
How is the common denominator p?
It's the only denominator other than 1.
#10 In the denominator. Why is the m=mn^2 but the n is just n^2m instead of both ^2?
