i don't know if underrated is a good word, like many 2000's era anime it simply is "old" and people who only consume seasonal anime who might be even younger than the show simply don't care for stuff that isn't overhyped and current half of references to different anime used all over this show would be ignored by modern audience simply by not knowing the source material for example who would guess that ichijou swimsuit changing color from scene to scene is an reference to anime sister princess where main character had a vest that was red from the front and blue from the side because one of storyboard creators in that show was colorblind long live behoimi

The original text (which can be seen not only in the dub but also in the broadcast of Paniponi on Japanese TV) was all stuff like "シリーズディレクター 大沼心" or "監督 新房昭之" translating to "Series Director - Shin Oonuma" and "Director - Akiyuki Shinbo" respectively, it tells you the show's main staff members.
Mostly parodies from other TV shows or media. So instead of making the screen empty because of the credit cleaning up, they put random sentences as a joke (Remember the genre, "Parody" , "Comedy") Edit: Remember the Studio as well, it's SHAFT
