  • The beauty market is full of claims like organic, cruelty-free, non-toxic, safe and more, how do you find products that are truly good for you and the planet AND ones that actually work?!
    As an integrative nutritionist and health and wellness expert, I work with a lot of sick individuals and they all have one thing in common, overloaded detoxification pathways. But before they can work on fixing it, they first need to STOP slathering cancer-causing endocrine-disrupting acne-inducing chemicals and toxins all over their face and body every single day.
    In this video, I’m going to show you the truly safe, healthy, and effective products I use every single day.
    Want to try them for yourself but not sure where to start? Fill out my free skincare consultation form and I’ll be in touch to help you get started asap!

    Hey, I’m Kristen. I’m so glad you’re here. I’m an Integrative Nutritionist and health and wellness expert. I’m a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I’m a Certified AutoImmune Protocol Practitioner, and I hold a Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Human Performance. But I think what matters most... is that I’ve been through a serious health overhaul myself and have tremendous empathy for anyone feeling less than amazing. In fact, I spent most of my life feeling sick with no answers to guide the way until I decided to take matters into my own hands and turn my health around. Now that I’m here on the other side of this health journey, I want nothing more than to share what I’ve learned from you, so you can go from just surviving to THRIVING. ______________________________________________________________________________________ DISCLOSURE: Some of the links provided may be affiliate links. You can use corn starch as dry shampoo - sounds crazy but it works! If you have darker hair you can add coco powder

    Thank you for speaking on this! I only use things that are in the green on EWG! It sucks when I see girls my age using products that look so cool! But then I realise that they are hurting their body.

      @@char2304 got it. Thanks for your concern. I personally am more concerned about my daily exposures of what I put on my skin and is absorbed daily, and what is on my food and in my water and my air every single day than I am about my current 2x/year highlight routine. That is a PERSONAL choice for me, and I think it's great that you've made a personal choice about what exposures are most important to you! :)

    BeautyCounter is very expensive. Are you an affiliate?

    • @KristenBlakeWellness
      @KristenBlakeWellness  2 роки тому +1

      Yes I am! I am affiliate for several different brands that I personally use and love. :)
      You'll find a disclaimer discussing this in the description section of each and every video I post for transparency purposes!
      And I do realize they're a higher price point than many drug store brands, they are still much more affordable than some of the uber fancy brands out there that are toxic and terrible for you too!

    Silica and Titanium Dioxide... ?
    I'm sorry but this is not sounding so good

    • @KristenBlakeWellness
      @KristenBlakeWellness  Рік тому

      Hi Christine! :)
      Both of those ingredients are naturally occurring minerals. I’m personally a lot more comfortable using them than any of the ingredients on the list of chemicals Beautycounter banned from their own use and is lobbying to have laws passed against using too.
      This article discusses Titanium Dioxide and its safety for skin use: www.byrdie.com/titanium-dioxide-for-skin-5225320 and this one discusses how silica’s danger is mostly linked to old manufacturing processes no longer used: thedermreview.com/silica/
      Everyone should of course only use products they are comfortable with but I hope this helps you see why I personally use and recommend Beautycounter. :)
