I'm not a good music producer, I learn, I have fun. And there always are times, where I feel uninspired and don't have fun for a while. And no matter if I am in that phase or not - If you put out a video, I pull up ableton, try something similar you showed and have some fun again. I watch because I saw that episode of Andrew Huang's 4 producers you were on and was amazed by the track you made.
I was listening to "Bathtub Bumps" for the very first time on the 30th of November 2020, when I got the news that my father had a sudden cardiac arrest and the doctors were doing the best they could to save him. I vividly remember listening to the whole album during the car drive to the hospital, already preparing for the worst but still holding on to a fragile hope that things would turn out ok. In the end they didn't. I remember listening to that album almost each day for a month or more after it happened, not only because it's such a beautiful piece of art but maybe also because I was trying to go back and be stuck in that car drive, when there was still hope.
May be too soon to say but I think I will always link your album to that moment of my life (sorry 😅). It kinda saddens me, but also not and in any case it's inevitable. I'm a musician myself and I didn't touch my piano for a long time after that day but your music also helped me to get back at it.
I'm sorry for the long comment, I don't even write comments on UA-cam very often, but fuck it. Sharing this helps me get it off of my chest today and maybe (I hope) it pleases you to hear it. All this to just let you know that you are a big inspiration, so thank you and I hope you'll keep at it! And congrats for the 100k! :)

Just want to add after watching the whole thing that your story is really inspiring, not only for music producers, or people wanting to create their own channel, but for anyone with an artistic passion who suffers from a block of any sort creating art. I'm myself a game dev from a long time, and have been struggling for a while to find the energy to work on personal stuff out of my official daily job. My interest in art goes way beyond programming which is my trade, I'm lucky enough to work in this industry where I'm surrounded by a crazy amount of talented people in all kind of disciplines, ranging from 2d / traditional art, to all the various different trades within the 3d umbrella, like character modelers, animators, environment artists, riggers, art tech directors to name a few, and obviously audio directors, designers, etc... Watching people like you hitting these kind of milestone is to me important to inspire others to keep going, or just start creating. It's helping me moving forward, I'm pretty sure this is inspiring to more as well. Keep creating, focus on the positives, and forget about the negativity that comes with social media and the higher reach. It's just a statistics game at that point, the more people you reach, the more that negative people percentage will become actual vocal people in comments and whatnot. I respect a lot people actually doing stuff, and putting it out there. It takes discipline and sometimes a very thick skin from what I gather

So i watch a lot of youtubers with that theme. But your channel is really original, laid back, but still full of useful info.
I think your 4 Producers 1 Sample song is the best song of yours that I've heard. I just listened to what I think are all your songs, on a UA-cam playlist, and I liked a lot of them but none of them come close to how good that 4 Producers song is.
Nice work getting to 100k subscribers (myself being one of those hopping on board after seeing the 4 Producers video on Andrew's channel). Dealing with haters absolutely sucks for sure, especially when you get a crappy comment when you're just not in a great headspace to begin with. All I can say is that the positive reactions far outweighs the negative, and I hope you can hold on to that during those dark moments.
I just this past February got back into music production. Your channel has been one of my sources of inspiration and education. I'm hoping to learn enough that I can follow your example and give back to the community by paying forward what I've learned from you and others.

I don't always follow all the producers Andrew features, and to be honest the kind of lo-fi hip hop sorta music you were doing wasn't my usual thing - I'm kind of an old school goth & darkwave kinda guy, & I like witch house too, but there was something about you that made me want to watch more videos. Partly the learner's journey, though by the time of 4P1S you were already doing awesome production work, but also you're humble and I dunno, non-egotistical about it. You come across as a genuinely good person. Your Twitch streams are like hanging out with friends. This kind of thing, especially with COVID and the lockdowns, has really helped - like my friend Lee Chaos' Thursday night "Chaos Emergency Doof Broadcast", where he plays only stuff that will make us happy, make us laugh, or filthy sexy disco stuff (bearing in mind all us that listen to that are goths and industrial fans). Like him, you've been a pillar of an online community that has kept us vaguely sane through all this. Thank you.

I'm sorry that you've gone through all of that social media hate! Remember Bad Snacks, I've always thought you were a badass producer and it's so upsetting to hear that people have brought you down. Just remember haters and assholes are more likely to comment mean things than people who do like your stuff! Most people who really like things usually fail to comment because they think it to themselves, which sucks but its a statistical phenomenon. Don't let the hate get to you because there are so many people here that support you and love your music... and you!!
I'm one of the people who subbed after watching Andrew's video, and then immediately afterward, I watched almost everything you posted (even the one that you took down, I think?). It's been so cool to see how much you've improved, and also be able to build up your workspace from very little in such a short span of time. This video is a solid example of what led me to sub to your channel. You're authentic, and the content you put out resonates with me. I may be speaking too openly, but I also want to say that your videos have been a source of comfort for me in not so great times. Dealing with poor mental health, and being generally numbed-out by all of that, it's been an uphill battle trying to rediscover that creative spark. So thank you for that!
As far as dealing with negativity online goes, you pretty much nailed it with the last part about people misreading others. Even if the intentions are clear, there's always going to be someone waiting to tear it apart, and we can't really control what other people do. All any of us can do is just continue to do the things that make us happy while tuning out the bullshit that's inevitable online. Sometimes, people just suck.

Well I’m a huge fan. Discovered you by accident while going down the UA-cam rabbit hole. About a year and half ago. Since then I listen to you almost daily and have learned so much and enjoy your work immensely. So glad you’re hear and will be fallowing for many many more moons. As the saying goes. Haters gonna hate. Ainters gonna ain’t. You have real talent and that means you’ll always have supporters. That also means you’ll always have critics. But you’re supporters will always outweigh them if you stay honest to yourself and work, which is obvious, you always will. So here’s to a long and happy career!

What you say about the comments is spot on. I’ve done a couple music related DIY build videos, even though my channel is mostly about photography and ever since I made those music videos I get the weirdest comments and DMs! Don’t get me wrong, most comments have been very positive, but every now and then there is one that’s just nasty or creepy AF! And of course those are the ones that we remember 😬
tbh, the creepy stuff disturbs me far more than when people on the internet turn nasty. I was kinda expecting the nasty, but uhh, some of the creepy DMs I get ... yikes 🤦♀️ And it seems to be getting worse the bigger the channel gets, to the point that I’m somewhat afraid of my exponential growth curve 😅 so far my most successful strategy for trolls is: “Hide user from channel” without any reaction. Trolls lose interest when they don’t get attention.
I found you from your videos with the Roland MC-101, which is interesting because you talk about the product reviews. I think it is easy to spot when people are being genuine and transparent about their passions and this is something which comes across massively on your videos and your work. Keep it up!
