This is BEAUTIFULLY explained and puts my textbook to shame. Thank you for making this video. I learned so so much.
Wow, just took a PDE exam yesterday and I had to derive it in a question!
This is good stuff. Thanks for introducing me to such wonderful pieces of Math, Dr. Peyam! I love your teaching style.
Perfect Explanation. You are the best Dr Peyam. Cheers!
Thank you for showing to exactly calculate this formula.
I wish I had known this before taking PDE's. It looked like another language back then. Quite elegant though.
In your videos everything becomes easy, evident and elegant! I wouldn't have had any clue to solve that!
Come back. Thank you very much.
Very beautiful! More PDE please!
There’s a whole playlist, in the description
@@drpeyam Thank you!
I ask myself what is in the 3-dimensional case? phi(x-ct)+phi(x+ct) will become probably the surface of a ball. And the integral will go over the volume of the ball.
Yeah, it basically becomes a surface integral, it’s quite interesting!
Great, awesome and clearly presented
How it comes? what about its history?Plz tell me Characteristics of d alembert solution.
Could you kindly elaborate on the integration part at 4:18, what is the rationale behind this? thnks
Why do you integrate respect s if you derivated respect t?
Sir plz do the same question with mixed boundary conditions
How do people solve non-linear matrix equations.

@@drpeyam You use newtons method using the jaccobian matrix.
1st comment.... Nice
Good job, but maybe legends can be realy usseful, bacause a lot of subs dont speak english, including me
