Hey, you are really smart and informed. Everything you say just makes sense. We are going to travel to Cyprus to see if it is going to work out for us as well. It looks like a lovely country.
@@amandamcevoy1518 Everthing went really well. Quite a bit of paper work, but so far we love it here. Being able to swim every day is a blessing for us but also just being able to eat dinner outside everyday is very nice.
Hi, I like your videos! I’m moving to Cyprus around September would like to meet likeminded people. - How is the influence of Greece language in Cyprus. Can you go by on just English? - How cold dos it get in winter? - Where is the places to meet entrepreneurs, for networking? - What is the best local bank? - How does Amazon works in Cyprus? - How does in general buying and shipping online packages to Cyprus work, compare to a bigger EU country? Thanks:)
- you can get by with English in most places - pretty warm, 10-16C - because of COVID it’s hard to say about networking at the moment.. - there are plenty of choices, I’ve got Bank of Cyprus account, pretty happy with it - Amazon works fine, not as fast as in UK or Germany with prime, but there are rumours that there will be an Amazon office opening in Cyprus soon. The negative is that you have to go to the post office to pick it up. ASOS comes quick and to your door 😉
Agree with everything you said. Only thing I want to add is that for meetups there is a weekly entrepreneurial meeting in Paphos, and we're 20-40 people each week, from all over the world. Feel free to join us and ask more questions if you have any! :)
Very good english! Very nice listening not native speaker 😊. I think, you have not lower C1 english language stage. Thank for information about Cyprus!
Hey Rico, great videos! My partner is a EU citizen and she got a house in Paphos not so long ago. I am a UK citizen and we are not married and would like to eventually move out to Paphos full time. Will this be a complicated situation? Also, I have a fully remote job for a UK employer so will be paying taxes in the UK.
Hi Rico, thanks for your very helpful videos. Just wondering, how is the connecting with the continent from there!?any ferries to Greece!?or which is the cost of flights to Eu!? Many thanks
I have been watching your videos since i came back from Cyprus in January , my partner works there , would it be easy for me to find work there in the construction industry , or as a heavy plant operator , namely dozer or 360 machine driver , any advice would be welcome . Many thanks
In the past 2 years I never had internet issues and I lived in many Airbnbs and visited many friends. And when I want highspeed internet, I just go to the Coworking space. Local coffees don't have the best internet, but for my work even that is enough. Come over and find it out yourself! Have a nice time :)
Thanks for the comment, it's very nice in Aya Napa for a holiday. The prices depend very much on what you do, but generally it is normal there. Enjoy your time!
Hey Pauline, this depends on what your skills are and what you want to do. Of course there are many opportunities, especially during summer season. I wish you good luck and I'm sure you'll find something!
You can manage it without Greek, also Russian is a good skill for Cyprus especially for FX companies. For IT jobs you can check ergodotisi , careerjet , cypruswork and some local recruitment companies.
This has become a major issue unfortunately, but seems to be more prevailent in isolated areas. You may have seen on the news a certain village facing crisis after an influx of illegal immigrants residing in the area. I wouldn't be too put off by it, as even as a young woman myself who moved to cyprus I've never felt very threatened. There are measures you can take to protect your property for ease of mind, there are a lot of security companies and you would do well to research specific areas that you're interested in moving to.
Be aware that this video only applies to the Republic of Cyprus NOT the Turkish occupied northern part of the island which is not recognised as a country by anybody (Except Turkey).
About my experience in Cyprus, do not invest in Real Estate there. Buying property there is bad investment. Trust me. I have many reasons from my experience. Just go on holidays there. of if you work there for some time, you can rent.
